Chiang Mai Road Trip - Samoeng Loop
Looking for the best Chiang Mai Road Trip? Take a motorbike around the Samoeng Loop, 2 hours surrounding Doi Suthep National Park. On your way, you can catch the Mae Sa Waterfall, enjoy scenic overlooks, and maybe stop at this secret coffee shop we found with the best views in Chiang Mai Thailand!
If you’re looking for fun things to do in Chiang Mai, a road trip (or motorbike trip) should be high on your list. Unlike the Mae Hong Son loop which takes multiple days and is difficult for a short holiday in Chiang Mai, the Samoeng loop only takes 2 hours and has amazing stops along the way!
If you start on the Samoeng loop heading North, you can reach the Mae Sa Waterfall in just 30 minutes by motorbike. Although this isn’t on the top list of the most impressive waterfalls in Chiang Mai, Mae Sa waterfall has 10 different mini waterfalls that you can hike to and look at. Fall #5 you can even swim in and have a picnic by, which is a popular local activity for Thai’s and tourists alike.
To get the best views in Chiang Mai, keep going on the Samoeng loop until you reach the middle which is an area called Samoeng Tai. Basically, you can pull over anywhere along this route and see amazing views of all of the hills and valleys surrounding Chiang Mai Thailand.
We were lucky enough to find a secret spot, with nobody else around, that had the best views in Chiang Mai! The place is a coffee shop and hotel called: น้องน้ำ รีสอร์ท. Now since we don’t speak Thai, I don’t know what that means so here is the address: น้องน้ำ รีสอร์ท Tambon Samoeng Tai, Amphoe Samoeng, Chang Wat Chiang Mai 50250
If you are looking to do an easy Thailand road trip then we highly recommend the Samoeng Loop! It’s a great Mae Hong Son Loop alternative and an easy day trip in Chiang Mai for those of you who only have a few days to see the sights. We suggest taking the Samoeng Loop to explore the Chiang Mai countryside and all the beautiful Thai nature. Although you can rent a car, your best bet is to rent a motorbike in Chiang Mai for the day to take you on this route. Ours was only $9 USD for an entire 24 hours.
If you have questions about this Chiang Mai road trip, want more travel tips in Chiang Mai, or are curious about Chiang Mai travel in general, feel free to watch our other Thailand travel vlogs! We provide useful travel guides for the places we visit and have spent 4 months in Thailand sharing the best places to visit, both on and off the tourist trail. Day Trips from Chiang Mai + Waterfall Hike | Thailand 2017
Recently we rented a motorbike and got out to explore a bit more of the area around Chiang Mai.
We went up Doi Suthep to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Ventured out to Lake Huay Tueng Tao, and then went on a hike to Taad Mook Waterfall (น้ำตกตาดหมอก).

DOI INTHANON DAY TRIP from CHIANG MAI // Wonderful Eco Tours // Full-Time Travel
Finding a day trip package that DOESN’T involve elephants or tigers is difficult in Chiang Mai! Fortunately we found Wonderful Eco Tours which offer a one day trekking adventure through Doi Inthanon National Park. This day trip doesn’t involve any animals but includes vegan food for lunch and yummy local coffee! They also pick you up (and drop you off) right at your hotel. The price was reasonable as well at 1400 baht per person. Just book online and pay in cash when they pick you up.
Check out Wonderful Eco Tours (we did ‘One Day Doi Inthanon National Park + Trekking’):
Thanks for watching my video! If you are new to my channel, my name is Lisa. I'm a minimalist nomad vegan. AMAZING Jungle Zip Line - Chiang Mai, Thailand 2016
Zip lining through the jungle of Chiang Mai Thailand is an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend booking your zip lining experience through Flight of the Gibbon!
Today we had the opportunity to experience The Flight of the Gibbon’s zip line canopy tour! The ziplining experience was incredible. My three favorite parts included the 800m zipline, the superman zip line, and abseiling from a giant strangler fig tree!
The jungle of Chiang Mai, Thailand is the perfect location for a canopy tour. We couldn't believe how green and beautiful the canopy was in the morning light! Plus, we got to watch gibbons swinging from the trees!

EPIC Jungle Trek in Chiang Mai (Untouched Thailand Tour)
After leaving Cambodia for the last time, Stephanie and I headed to Chiang Mai! It wasn't my first time in Thailand, but it was my first time in Chiang Mai. We decided to get out of the city on our first day on the highly rated Untouched Thailand Tour, which took us to the Long Neck Karen tribe, Doi Inthanon park to see the Royal Twin Pagodas, and then on a memorable hike through waterfalls, orchids and rice fields where our tour guide entertained us along the way with all his nature knowledge. Wth rain predictions all day, it held out just long enough, and we were really lucky!

CHIANG MAI SCOOTER DAY TRIP - SAMOENG LOOP | Thailand Travel Vlog 051, 2017
This was such an epic day, it's now firmly on our list of favourite things to do in Chiang Mai. We hired scooters and drove the Samoeng Loop through the Mae Savalley, also known as the Mae Sa Loop - its always a popular choice on blogs for what to do in Chiang Mai and the various places on the trip. Basically its a scooter mission, or motorbike rental mission, around the Mae Sa Valley mountains and Samoeng area surrounding Chiang Mai - and you definitely should do it!

Amazing Thailand Adventure | Luxury Glamping In Chiang Mai
Today we started at Wat Sri Suphan also known as Chiang Mai Silver Temple because of its impressive silver decoration. The temple is completely covered in silver, and if you are in Chaing Mai is a must visit.
We then went glamping at Camp story Chiang Mai, it's a great way to experience the stunning nature without having to sacrifice modern luxury. If camping is something you love to do then you will love the glamping tents at camp story Chiang Mai.

Thailand's dreamy north has national parks galore and tons of amazing day trips to take from Chiang Mai. Our first stop on our hidden Thailand road trip is Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand's tallest peak.
On the way, we stop by Pha Chor, an orange canyon located about an hour outside of the city. It's an easy, perfect little pit stop before we continue on our way to the Mae Ya Waterfall.
Though Doi Inthanon National Park has many waterfalls, Mae Ya is easily one of the most beautiful, the largest, and the most impressive. It's also the least crowded since it takes an extra 40 minutes to drive to from the park entrance, but it's worth it!
Finally, we finish at the King and Queen Pagodas near the top of Doi Inthanon after a gorgeous drive.
Check out the associated blog post for more information on the beautiful hidden parts of Thailand, accessible by day trip from Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai Whitewater rafting Adventure in Thailand - Backpacking Thailand
River Rafting in Northern Thailand
hailand White Water Rafting
Rafting expeditions in a tropical climate are simply great. No need of thermal wetsuits as the water is lukewarm. Lush tropical jungle, wild rivers, bamboo campsites, Thai smiles and gourmet food, as well as the likelihood of spotting wild animals, should make this the trip of a lifetime.
On every river expedition, we use strong hypalon self-bailing rafts and canoes. Adequate equipment such as life jackets and helmets are provided.
To carry the participant’s day gear, we use watertight containers which are always readily accessible when we make a break. The overnight packs, (restricted size) are stored in sturdy dry bags taken on the rafts.
Participants are required to wear a life jacket and helmet while on the rafts.
During the two day Pai River expedition all food and drink is provided (except alcoholic beverages).
At the camp, we provide drinking water, tea and fresh coffee.
Our regular river rafting trips:
Two-day trips on the Pai River middle section. Convenient package tour, departure from Chiangmai
Day trip, departure nearly every day in season. Depart from Pai
Day trip on the Maetang River, departure from Chiangmai (short rafting section 9km)
Upon request, multiple day on the Maetang river with the first section being ideal for novices, youth groups (3 days Maetang River expedition), departure from Chiangmai.

This is our second visit with Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Chiang Mai - in fact, of our Top 12 Things To Do in Chiang Mai visiting and Elephant Sanctuary is our number 1!
Before you visit Chiang Mai please do your research about ethical treatment of Elephants and go to a camp or sanctuary - please don't ride the elephants! Riding of them is terrible for them and theres some really bad procedures used on baby elephants to make them subservient and broken.

Chiang Mai Is A Must Visit For Anyone Who Loves Nature | Thai Adventure In The Jungle On A Motorcycle, Finding Balance In My Relationships, & My Favorite Holiday Yet | Sanne Vloet
Hey Guys,
It's a whole new year with a fresh start for everyone, but for those of us who have committed to wellness this new year it is a great chance for us to keep improving on our positive habits! I say this every year, but I feel like 2018 flew by. I hope you guys can share your New Years Eve stories with me, Max and I unfortunately ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. We were on the beach and no one warned us that they were about to set off fireworks right next to where we were sitting. Luckily, we got out of there in one piece, but our night didn't go as planned.
Did any of you get ready with me for NYE last year... lol, get it? I will link the video just in case some of you haven't seen it or want to see it again. Today I am sharing some of my travels with you in Thailand. We were in the air for over 24 hours, but we arrived in Paradise. If anyone has been to Chiang Mai, what was your favorite part? Next time I come I want to visit Chiang Rai because I heard it is just as beautiful, so let me know if you have ever been there.
It is breathtaking in Chiang Mai, the mountains are endless and the roads are winding, but we managed to tour the Thai capital of the North on a motorcycle and had a little adventure. One of you left a funny comment she keeps coming back to Asia and that is so true. There is something about Asia that keeps drawing me back, I just can't stay away, I LOVE IT HERE! If you haven't visited Thailand you should add it to your list.
Part of the reason I wanted to come here again is because for me, Thailand is the perfect place to zone out and chill, to unplug from the world, and connect with yourself in a way that is hard to do back in New York City. My life gets busy with travel, work, videos, and even friends so my major goal for this holiday was to recharge and enter the new year with a ready and fit mind.
I hope you guys are enjoying my travel vlogs. You guys may not realize how much fun these are to make, I love being able to create and share with each and every one of you. If you are enjoying these videos give me a thumbs up and don't forget to let me know.
For anyone that isn't subscribed, hit that subscribe button, and join us as we tackle 2019 together. There is so much strength in our little community and I can't wait to get this year started. Here's to another year of adventures, fun, and growth.

Mountain Coffee in Thailand: Day Trip from Chiang Mai
Instagram: @brockintheworld
Twitter: @BrockInTheWorld
This has to be the best day trip from Chiang Mai!
Today I ride my motorbike from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand into the mountains at Doi Suthep National Park, to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (aka Wat Doi Suthep) which is really an amazing Buddhist temple and definitely a must see while traveling to Chiang Mai! Then I continue up into the mountains, passed Bhuping Palace (closed at 3:30pm) and discover a really cool thing: locally grown, dried and roasted mountain coffee! I had to try two different places, and both cups were amazing and unique. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves coffee, nature, and/or temples. The ride into the mountain forest alone was well worth the trip!
Please share this video with someone who loves coffee (or temples, or nature!)
Thank you for your support on the channel, and for new subs!
