An artefact from Labuan's coal mining era (1847-1912). During that period, Labuan was used as a coaling station for ships sailing in the Far East area. Coal was transported by single rail track to Victoria Port.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights to explore the duty free island, Labuan. We were lucky that the weather was so beautiful and managed to visit the War Memorial, Peace Park, Chimney Museum and the beaches. The dinner at Anjung Ketam was absolutely worthy!

Labuan, a triangular-shaped island with six smaller islands, is located 10 km off the coastal waters of Sabah. The Federal Territory of Labuan comprises Labuan Island (75 km²) and six other smaller islands which are Pulau Burung, Pulau Daat, Pulau Kuraman, Pulau Papan, Pulau Rusukan Kecil, and Pulau Rusukan Besar. I visited Labuan War Cemetery/Peace Park/The Chimney/Surrender Point/Museum/center point and I stayed at Perdana hotel near the international ferry terminal Labuan.

Labuan曾经也经历过采煤矿的黄金时期哦！这座Chimney烟窗就是其证据。这也是纳闽人自豪的历史地标，里面虽然没什么特别，但确是古人留下来的历史，博物馆内也提供了历史的传说，还有一些蜡像人在采煤矿时的状况，里面可是升手不见五指呢！

Labuan Square is located in downtown Labuan. The main focus is an outdoor stage which is a popular spot for some of the island's major events and performances. Banners of Labuan Island and other Malaysian states fluttered in a row on this stage. At the end of the plateau is the city football field. At the other end is a replica of 'Chimney', Labuan's most famous landmark. It is beautifully landscaped with a variety of plants, fountains and waterfalls.
