Taxi Ride from Xi’An City to Xian Airport China
Views in the cab, on my taxi ride from Xi’An city to Xi’An airport Regal Hotel. The roads were very wide and smooth. The highways were even smoother. Along the way, saw many new builds. All of them were recently built and the taxi driver told us that they were all sold out. The pace of development in China is super fast.
Welcome to China! Thanks for watching my video.

ALL OF THE THINGS TO DO IN THIS VIDEO:
Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (or Big Wild Goose Pagoda) - 1:00
A Buddhist pagoda built in 652 during the Tang dynasty. The surrounding parks are a great place to explore, with lots of very freaky looking statues around the trees. There is also a really good musical fountain show (the largest in Asia) that plays twice every evening in the summer. Best of all, it is absolutely free to enter!
Muslim Street - 1:40
The main food street area is known as Huimin Street or Muslim Quarter has a lot of great food (probably not the most vegetarian friendly though)
Tourist Bus to the Terracotta Warriors - 1:50
Don't bother with an expensive taxi, getting to the Terracotta Warriors from Xi'an Railway Station is easy. There are constantly buses leaving from Line 5 just outside the main entrance. Look for Bus 306. It only costs 24 Yuan and the journey takes about an hour.
The Terracotta Warriors - 2:00
The entrance fee is 150 yuan, which is pretty justified for a genuine wonder of the world. In short, it is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, with the purpose of protecting him in his afterlife. A real must see!
Xi'an City Walls - 2:37
The fortifications of Xi'an, also known as Xi'an City Wall, are one of the oldest, largest and best preserved Chinese city walls. It was built under the rule of the Hongwu Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang as a military defense system. You can cycle around them, walk or even take a short boat trip. It's a great way to explore the city if you are short on time. The entrance fee is 54 Yuan, which is not much for a minimum of a few hours worth of walking. Sunset here is awesome.
And that's it! I tried to keep this short and not overload it with too many options - it's a 24 hour travel guide after all! If you have ant questions, feel free to ask in the comments - I always reply!

Exploring Muslim Street in Xi'an, China
Located in the Muslim district of Xi’an, China, the Beiyuanmen (commonly referred to as Muslim Street) is a playground for the senses!
You can stroll along the long, peaceful promenade while checking out the snack vendors’ fresh and fried delights. Try some of the local favorites like lamb skewers, dates, gravy-filled dumplings, and flat bread soaked in mutton.

Xi'an, China: Terracotta Warriors and Street Food in the Muslim Quarter (China Vlog) (CC)
We make our way to the Terracotta Warriors, an army buried and forgotten for thousands of years. Absolutely breathtaking. After we wrapped up our time there, we headed back to Xi'an for dinner in the Muslim Quarter, a fun, vibrant part of town with amazing street food.

The Backdrop: We spent May-July in China (eight weeks in total). For the first month, I co-led a study abroad trip that brought sixteen college students to the Nanjing University of Science and Technology to study beginning Chinese. I also co-taught a Travel Writing class. As part of that trip, we went to Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Shanghai, Yellow Mountain, and Slender West Lake. Once the students left for home, my husband Jesse and I traveled around China for a few more weeks. Our travels brought us to Xi'An, Chengdu, Leshan, Jiuzhaigou, Yangshuo, and Hong Kong. It was a life-changing adventure!

Overlooking old Chinese city Xi'an from helicopter
China has been forging ahead with opening-up of low-altitude airspace, which has directly promoted the development of domestic air travel market.
Xi'an, capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province, is among the seven pilot cities where airspace below 1,000 meters is open to general aviation flights.
Now tourists to the city can choose to take a helicopter to overlook the old city.

China Eastern Airlines MU5010 Business Class Xi’An to Shanghai Pudong 东航西安上海。头等舱 Airbus A330-300
东航西安到上海头等舱。We fly China Eastern Business class from Xi’An to Shanghai Pudong! We had a very good holiday in Xi’An, and it was time to go home, in comfort. We fly MU5010 from Xi’An to Shanghai, followed by MU565 from Shanghai to Singapore.
This leg to Shanghai was delayed by almost an hour, due to the late arrival of aircraft (from Moscow). Fortunately we had a 3 hour layover in Shanghai, so we would still be able to catch our connecting flight. So we spent longer than expected in the Xi’An Airport V1 China Eastern Lounge, which was really quite busy! There were lounge announcements so we could wait in the lounge comfortably.
The aircraft was an Airbus A330-300 series plane, designed for long-haul flights. I guess we managed to catch this long-haul plane on a short-haul route because the flight MU5010 goes all the way to Moscow. Good for us to have caught this flight!
From the terminal, we had to take a bus to the aircraft. This part was a bit strange, because the aircraft was parked at the other side of the airport, and also connected to an aero-bridge. So, I'm not sure why we had to use a bus to get us to the aeroplane, which was already connected to an aero-bridge. Oh well, China Eastern!
The flight was very pleasant. Unlike our Shanghai to Xi-An leg where we were served a very light snack of 2 tarts and 5 fruit slices, at least we were given a proper breakfast on this 1hr 50 minute flight. Service was good and efficient, with the cabin crew coming around to take our orders before the plane took off. Essentially, you had a choice between Asian or Western style breakfast.
Landing into Shanghai was scenic. It was a gorgeous day, and I had good views of Shanghai Hongqiao airport as well. Thanks for watching!

LONG DISTANCE TRAINS OF CHINA - Shijiazhuang to Xi'an
SUBSCRIBE to our channel:-
Hello Guys,
In this video, I have shared my experience of long-distance trains in China. Train travel is the primary method of long-distance transportation for the Chinese, with an extensive network of routes covering most of the country. Roughly a quarter of the world's total rail traffic is in China.
China now has the world's largest network of high-speed railways (similar to French TGV or Japanese Shinkansen bullet trains), the CRH trains, and expansion continues at a frantic pace. If your route and budget allow then these may be the best way to get around.
Hong Kong has a high-speed rail station that opened to the public in 2018. Macau has no rail connection at all, although Zhuhai over the border is connected to a high-speed line.

China's ancient city Xi’an tourism benefits from more international flights
One aim of the Belt and Road Initiative is to increase connections, and that is happening in Xi’an. In 2016, international flight routes linking Xi'an reached 45. Every week, 145 flights took off to Central Asia, Europe, Southeast and South Asia. Nearly 37 million passengers passed through Xi'an's international airport, up more than 12 percent. As the initiative takes further hold, more international flights are expected to bring more travelers to China’s ancient capital.

Banpo, Xi'An, Shaanxi, China, Asia
Banpo is an archaeological site discovered in 1953 and located in the Yellow River Valley just east of Xi'an, China. It contains the remains of several well organized Neolithic settlements, like Jiangzhai, carbon dated to 6700–5600 years ago. The area of 5 to 6 hectares (12 to 15 acres) is surrounded by a ditch, probably a defensive moat, 5 to 6 meters (16 to 20 ft) wide. The houses were circular, built of mud and wood with overhanging thatched roofs. They sat on low foundations. There appear to be communal burial areas. Banpo is the type site associated with Yangshao Culture. Archaeological sites with similarities to the first phase at Banpo are considered to be part of the “Banpo phase” (7th millennium bc) of the Yangshao culture. Banpo was excavated from 1954 to 1957.
The settlement was surrounded by a moat, with the graves and pottery kilns located outside the moat perimeter. Many of the houses were semisubterranean with the floor typically 1 meter (3 ft) below the ground surface. The houses were supported by timber poles and had steeply pitched thatched roofs. According to the Marxist paradigm of archaeology that was prevalent in the China during the time of the excavation of the site, Banpo was considered to be a matriarchal society; however, new research contradicts this claim and the Marxist paradigm is gradually being phased out in modern Chinese archaeological research. Currently, little can be said of the religious or political structure from these ruins from the archeological evidence. The site is now home to the Xi'an Banpo Museum, built in 1957 to preserve the archaeological collection.
