In this video, I take you across the Qianximen Bridge. This bridge is one of two bridges that make up the Twin River Bridges (Dongshuimien Bridge being the other).

Hongyadong is an 11-storey, 75 meters (245 feet) stilt house built on a steep cliff.

GMP'S CHONGQING GRAND THEATER
Chongqing is absolutely awesome!! Wow, all insane expectations were met. We expected raw, tough, huge, enormous. And all of this was exceeded. Between all of this, we visited the Chongqing Grand Theater, designed by GMP architekten (the largest german architecture firm and fully active in China for 2 decades) There is an enormous contrast. This building is pure, enormous and hostile. But boy, does it fit well in Chongqing, exactly because of these contrast. Standing proud on a large podium it overlooks Chongqing. It is visible from the bustling city center and doesnt seem to care. We loved it!

Chongqing builds China's largest water-cooled HVAV system
Southwest China's Chongqing municipality takes a further step to go green by taking advantage of its rich water resources.
The city is building China's largest water-cooled air conditioning system near the Yangtze River, China's longest waterway.
The construction is expected to be finished by the end of the year and will start a trial run in 2017.

Chongqing is a sprawling municipality at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers in southwestern China. In the city center, the large, domed Great Hall of the People complex stands above pedestrianized People's Square. Chongqing (Chinese: 重庆; pinyin: chóngqìng), formerly transliterated as Chungking[a], is a major city in Southwest China and one of the Five national central cities in China. Administratively, it is one of China's four direct-controlled municipalities (the other three are Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin), and the only such municipality in China located far away from the coast.
The municipality was created on 14 March 1997, succeeding the sub-provincial city administration that was part of Sichuan Province. Chongqing's population as of 2015 is just over 30 million with an urban population of 18.38 million. Of these, approximately 8.5 million people live in Chongqing city proper; Fuling District, Wanzhou District and Qianjiang District are in fact cities in their own right, and along with the city proper constitute a metropolitan area. According to the 2010 census, Chongqing is the most populous Chinese municipality, and also the largest direct-controlled municipality in China, and comprises 26 districts, 8 counties, and 4 autonomous counties.
The official abbreviation of the city, Yu (渝), was approved by the State Council on 18 April 1997. This abbreviation is derived from the old name of a part of the Jialing River that runs through Chongqing and feeds into the Yangtze River. Chongqing was also a Sichuan province municipality during the Republic of China (ROC) administration, serving as its wartime capital during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945).
Chongqing has a significant history and culture and serves as the economic centre of the upstream Yangtze basin. It is a major manufacturing centre and transportation hub; a July 2012 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit described it as one of China's 13 emerging megacities.[

A railway connecting Chongqing and Guiyang, two major cities in southwest China, started operation Thursday.
It cuts travel time between two cities from 10 to 2 hours. Also, the new line is expected to improve traffic between China's southwest and southern areas.

The nightview of Chongqing is famous in China. People who had enjoyed it all admit that the nightview in Chongqing ranks higher than it in Shanghai and Hong Kong. There is a sentence to describe the charming night view of Chongqing - You haven’t been to Chongqing if you missed the chance to see the night view there.
Chongqing is titled as a small Hong Kong. So besides the hotpot, the beauties, the “in a value of millions of dollar” night view is also a must-see activity. There are some ways to enjoy the night view, including have a night cruising, taking the cable rope, taking BTS, etc..
Because of the special landform in Chongqing, the road should be built according to the range of the mountain. So the architectures on the slope will be level by level. When the night is coming, the lights on the buildings are shining both in the sky and in the river.
Hongyadong is located in the Chongqing code commercial center, on the Binjiang area which is the junction of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. The night view here is famous and especially charming. The typical Bayu architecture - stilted architecture - are build along the mountain. Hongyadong is a wonderful place to take the night view photos.
