LDL Paranormal Investigated Christ Church in St. Simon's Island, GA 12/26/15 at about 2:00 am EDT. Christ Church has a Graveyard around it and very long paranormal history around it since its founding in 1736. There is legend about a women whose husband used to light a candle at her window, she died and he died and legend has it that you can see her light/candle late at night at the graveside of her..We investigated the Church and recorded the first ever recordings of the cemetary with some really cool EVPS. What we discovered is that maybe some of the Fort Frederica Soldiers might be here as well as some dudes from the plantations with the greatest EVP recordings in LDLTV history with clear- over the air recordings of men saying Snow and Pitch Dark ..on our SONY HD Cameras. Christ Church is set in tall, mossy grass under towering oak trees. The church grounds include a cemetery. Christ Church, one of the oldest churches in Georgia, was founded on St. Simons Island nearly 70 years after the island was first settled by English colonists. Worship has been continuous since 1736 in Christ Church Parish, established by English colonists at Frederica under General James Oglethorpe.
In February 1736, James Oglethorpe and the first English settlers arrived on St. Simons Island. Shortly thereafter, in March 1736, Reverend Charles Wesley, who also served as Secretary for Indian Affairs and Chaplain to General James Oglethorpe, entered his ministry at Frederica. From 1736-1766, the first religious services on the island were conducted by John Wesley, George Whitfield, and other clergy members of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel. When the Trustees surrendered their charter to the king in 1752, Georgia became a royal colony. It was after the Revolutionary War, in 1808, that Christ Church was founded. Though inspired by such men as John and Charles Wesley, the small St. Simons Island population was prevented by the Revolutionary War and War of 1812, among other factors, from erecting a church building until 1820.
Following a petition for a charter by descendants of early settlers, Christ Church was established by an act of the state legislature in 1808. It is the second oldest Episcopal Church in the diocese of Georgia. Before the actual church was built, people met at their homes. The first church building was constructed in 1820 on the same site where the present church is now located. In 1823, Christ Church of Savannah and Saint Paul Church of Augusta merged together. The first small church building lasted until Union Troops damaged it so badly that members of the church had to have service at their homes once again. The church was rebuilt in 1884.

These Live Oak trees are filmed growing on St. Simons Island, GA, near the cemetery at Christ's Church where Charles and John Wesley, founders of the Methodist Protestant Christian Religion, visited and preached at the original site after they landed at Savannah, GA. that was founded in 1733. There are graves of many early settlers of Coastal Georgia, in this cemetery, some dating back to the 1700's. Live Oak trees are huge shade trees that are native to many Southern States, including Georgia, Florida and then to the Gulf States of Mississippi and Louisiana.

Houses are a metaphor for our psyches. The Forest at Peachtree in Saint Simons Island, Georgia and its owners are close to the same age, and like them The Forest has had two lives.
Don Baker and Randy Siegel placed a contract on the Forest at Peachtree in the spring of 2015, days before the wreaking ball was slated to hit. The severely neglected midcentury house was to be demolished and sold for its two lots. The parquet floors were peeling, the ceiling had collapsed in several rooms, and black-green mold had formed on its walls. The yard had not been attended to in years, and the house was barely visible from the street. Overgrown bushes blocked views, and a beautiful brick patio was buried under a wild forest of ferns. Even in her dilapidated state, the house called to them. They saw her inherent beauty—and an inner light that glowed from within.
After the closing, they walked through the house. Holes had formed in the roof, and rain flowed freely through. “It’s as if she’s weeping,” Don observed.
That afternoon, they invited Facebook friends to share their favorite positive words. “Hope,” “Love,” “Awe,” “Peace,” “Joy,” “Abundance,” “Grace,” “Gratitude”…. More than seventy people contribute a hundred and thirty-six words of affirmation. As Don and Randy wrote the words on every surface of the house its energy shifted. A day later, when the builder and architect walked through, they commented on the change.
It took almost two years to renovate the house. Over that time, the owners collected its furnishings: midcentury furniture, black and white photography, and a life sized wooded statue of Jesus carved in the 1940s for a church in Buffalo, New York. Today, the Forest at Peachtree stands proud as a symbol for hope, healing, and renewal.

Nestled against the curve of Georgia's coast lie emerald and golden gems, unique barrier islands, and special treasures to be discovered. Lured to these islands by the beauty of moss-draped oaks, rolling sand dunes, and the pleasures of sun and water, visitors enjoy peaceful respite, fun family vacations, and relaxing romantic getaways.

The Village offers a charming selection of shops and restaurants that range from fine dining establishments to casual outdoor eateries. All of the locals and visitors enjoy Neptune Park named after a slave, Neptune Small and the fishing pier. The island also offers a number of fascinating historical sites such as the Lighthouse, the Coast Guard Station, Fort Frederica, Christ Church and the Bloody Marsh Monument. Other island activities also include golf, fishing, nature walks, biking, canoeing, kayaking and horseback riding.
St. Simons Island is adjacent to Sea Island, which is the third richest zip code in the United States and home of the Cloister, a world- class resort renowned for its luxury and gracious service and site of the recent G-8 Summit. The Cloister has hosted presidents, royalty and other VIPs.
Walking barefoot in the sand, taking a dip in the ocean, sunning in the tropical breeze, listening to the lull of the waves are just a few of the reasons that people are flocking to this island and even better reasons to stay. Wesley Gardens - St Simons Island
We were lucky to visit the Wesley Memorial Gardens and Christ Church when the azaleas were in bloom. John and Charles Wesley came to Georgia in 1736. John become known as the father of the modern Methodist Church, while Charles is remembered today for his many beautiful hymns. The Christmas favorite Hark! The Herald Angels Sing was written by Rev. Charles Wesley. Christ Church dates back to 1808, making it the second oldest in Georgia. It is still an active Episcopal Church.
