Chunxi Rd: Chengdu's Pedestrian Shopping Street
Over a kilometer of shopping of all kinds can be found on Chunxi Road. It's Chengdu's largest pedestrian shopping street, and it's filled with both high-end shops and bargain boutiques. Whether you are looking for pandas, silk, or some other Chengdu souvenirs; Chunxi Road is the best place to shop in Chengdu.
We do a bit of Christmas shopping, stopping to snack on meats and other street foods.

Lotus Pond Market - Wholesale Shopping in China
One of the largest wholesale markets in China is located south of Chengdu's North Rail Station. The Lotus Pond Market or He Hua Chi (荷花池市场) seems to go forever. It's alleys, streets, and buildings all packed with shops. Many of the stores around the city get their supply from Lotus Pond Market. If you want to buy in bulk, or you're looking for a decent price, this is the place to shop. Just be sure to barter hard.
