5th Chapter Under 10 - Sixth day (Taizé, 13/7/2019)
We have come to the last day of our Chapter of Mats. The morning Eucharistic celebration was presided over by fr Michael, our Minister General, who invited us to accept the words of Jesus in today's Gospel: Do not be afraid!. A word that encouraged us to undertake the journey back to our homes tomorrow. Morning prayer added further support to trust without fear in the providence of the Father, entrusting him not only with our needs but expanding our intercession to the needs of the world.
We participated in the last biblical reflection of the week, offered to us and to many other people by br John, a member of the Community. We were given the gospel passage of the sending of the seventy-two disciples on a mission (Lk 10, 1-9), which speaks of hospitality offered (and required) to the disciples on a mission. After lunch, and the inevitable waiting that allowed us to have conversation with two thousand other people, we had the closing celebration of our Chapter of Mats. Whereas, at the opening celebration we had gathered outside the church and then processed in, this time we first gather in the church to praise the Lord and listen to some reflections, and, then we processed out of the church, to receive the mandate to go for the world, as our Rule invites us to do. In church, we listened to fr Alois who thanked us, recalling two similarities between us, friars, and the Taizé brothers: fraternity, which allows us to give witness not only as individuals but as a fraternity, and simplicity, which invites us to further simplify our lifestyle. The Minister Provincial of France, fr Michel Laloux, invited us to thank the Lord. He offered examples on how he himself has offered praise this week, finding both small and big reasons to do so. The Minister General fr Michael reminded us that, in these days, we have not been alone in our Franciscan adventure, but that we have been accompanied by God and as well as our brothers. He reminded us of our faith in a Trinitarian God, which roots our spirituality of dialogue, and allows for an open encounter with God and with all others, regardless of the culture or background. He concluded with a text from the Apocalypse of John that inspired the last Plenary Council. As fr Michael described, we have been invited to return to our first love and to listen to what the Spirit says. After these three interventions, the Letter of the friars Under Ten to the friars of the Order was read, prepared by a Commission of delegates. Finally, we received a medal from the Minister, a reminder of this Chapter. We then processed out from the church and into the garden beside the church. After having declared together that we want to serve Christ and the Church, in the style of St. Francis, and that we especially want to witness to him, dead and risen for us, we received the blessing of St. Francis. The singing of the Salve Sancte Pater concluded our celebration.
The celebration, intense and significant, was prolonged by a time of fraternal recreation, in the garden of the Taize community. Once again, we had conversations and exchanges with the brothers (ours and those of the Community of Taizé) whom we met during this week. Mutual good-byes were shared, given, many of us will leave early tomorrow morning, and, in fact, most will have left by tomorrow afternoon.
This spirit of farewell extended throughout the evening, during dinner and after dinner: hugs and greetings multiplied. During evening prayer, it was natural to be reminded that this would be the last evening of choral prayer, the last evening of participating in the singing and praising of God in evening prayer.
May the blessings of this week accompany use on our way home. To the Lord every praise and blessings for all experienced this week!

St. Martin's Church, Warsaw, Masovian, Poland, Europe
St. Martin's Church is a church in Warsaw, Poland. It is located on ulica Piwna in the Polish capital's Old Town. It was established in 1353 together with the adjacent Augustinians cloister and a hospital of the Holy Spirit intra muros by Siemowit III duke of Masovia and his wife Eufemia. In 1571 the famous Wojciech Oczko was made a hospital doctor. The church itself, which was a stone, gothic building, was erected at the turn of 14th and 15th century. Its entrance was located from the side of the town walls, not from Piwna street, as today. The temple had three altars: main altar of St. Martin and side altars of the Holy Ghost and of St. Dorothy. In the 17th century on the churchyard of Augustinians' Monastery was the place where sessions of local Mazovian parliament were organised. After some fires, which destroyed the church in 15th and 17th century, it was converted in baroque style by Giovanni Spinola from Italy. Also at that time the church was reoriented, the main entrance was located from Piwna Street and the altar was moved to south-western side (to the side of the town walls). In the 17th century, a good standard orchestra was maintained by the Augustinians, which performed in the church. Inside, Adam Jarzębski was buried, a musician and composer that worked for the kings of the Vasa Dynasty. The church was reconstructed in about 1744 according to Karol Bay's design, and resembles the architecture of Bay's Church of Order of the Visitation. The main façade of waved lines represent so-called Melted Sugar style in the rococo architecture. The central altar also according to Karol Bay's design with sculptures by Jan Jerzy Plersch was accomplished in 1751. The facade is baroque, although the interior is completely modern. The profuse early baroque furnishings, created in the 1630s by Jan Henel (sculptor of King Władysław IV Vasa) together with the rococo decorations done in the 1750s, were destroyed by German bombing during the Warsaw Uprising. The church was ruined. It was reconstructed after the World War II. Inside the church, at the end of right nave a chapel of Our Lady of Consolation with a copy of a painting from 15th century and at the end of the left one - the chapel of Jesus Christ. Next to the sanctuary there is a chapel of St. Francis with the most valuable element of the church's furnishing - polychromed figure of the Virgin Mary with the Child.
Divisive Polish film skewers Catholic clergy
The Polish film Kler (The Clergy) arouses passionate debates in the deeply religious country, winning awards but also triggering calls for it to be banned. Its release comes as the Catholic Church faces a crisis in several countries owing to charges of sexual abuse of children by clergy and lay members, which the Vatican's chief spokesman has called a cultural problem and very grave sins.

REPORTAŻ - Operacja Media, Poznań 2008 (cz. 6)
Zespół REPORTAŻ (Andrzej Karpiński, Witold Oleszak) i perkusista Chris Cutler, koncert muzyki improwizowanej pt.

REPORTAŻ group (Andrzej Karpiński, Witold Oleszak) with percussionist Chris Cutler improvised live performance, The Media Operation in Poznan, September 12th, 2008. Part 6.
The basic theme is the role of media in the modern world from the point of view of a musician and from a Polish perspective. This country in the centre of Europe is according to them an object of endless sociological, political, economic and cultural experimentation and has also become a place of disinformation and falsified history. Musically this project is influenced by a long tradition of improvisational rock as well as the newest experiments in sound technology. The band uses old analogue instruments, percussion, keyboards and electronic instruments, whose various sounds the musicians then mix together live. The lyrics are made up of excerpts from the media in musical forms, which at unexpected moments become part of the concert. The musicians, imitating radio, television and print media perform an operation on a broken photocopier... The atmosphere of the project puts the finishing touches to a specially prepared stage in light-grey blue, dominated by operating lamps hanging above the musicians heads.

FEEDBACK - Awaited Emptiness
FEEDBACK powstał w listopadzie '98 w Białymstoku. Początkowy skład: Kleem - vocal Łysy i Jacek -- gitary, Wróbel -- bębny, Stefan -- bas.
Chociaż każdy z nich grał dotychczas inny rodzaj muzyki połączyła ich fascynacja muzą amerykańskich grunge'owych bandów (m.in. Green River, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots itp.).
W międzyczasie krótkotrwale w zespole grali: Olo - bas (zastępował Wojtka) i Kazan - klawiszowiec.
Ostatni skład zespołu to:
KLEEM -- vocal
Łysy -- gitara rytm
Emil -- gitara solo
Żywy -- bas
Wróbel -- perkusja
Zespół zawiesił swoją działalność w 2006 roku.
