Suora Paola & Sister Veronica of Terra Santa College in Cyprus (2019)
These two Maronite Catholic nuns (Suora Paola from Kormakiti), and Sister Veronica from Asomatos), are two of the five nuns who raised me from 1965 -1979 at Terra Santa College in Nicosia, Cyprus. They are now at Saint Mary's School in Limassol. Filmed on Oct 17, 2019.

Εδώ το πρώτο ..λεπτομερειακό βίντεο θέασης από την δυτική πλευρά του περιφερειακού δρόμου Άνω Γαρούνα Κέρκυρα & μετά 250 περίπου μ από την εκκλησία της Αγίας Παρασκευής που προς το τέλος του βίντεο το καμπαναριό της φαίνεται.!Ξεκινάμε δυτικά κάτω από τον Άγιο Γόρδιο που οδικώς μέσω του περιφερειακού δρόμου ανατολικά του Κάτω Γαρούνα κάπου σε απόσταση 5 km βρίσκεται,αλλά που εδώ και σε ζούμ όλη η βασική του πιό πυκνοδομημένη πλευρά του φαίνεται από τον κεντρικό του δρόμο ανατολικά μέχρι και το ..κύμα.!Εκτείνεται και προς τα βόρεια,αλλά πιό αραιοδομημένος εκεί.Ένας σπουδαίος τουριστικός καλοκαιρινός προορισμός και ελπίζεται αρκετά κι από εκεί την καλοκαιρινή περίοδο που θα πάμε εκεί να δείξουμε.!Συνεχίζουμε στην ν/δ πλευρά του όπου ο πανύψηλος βράχος και ..προχωρώντας νοτιότερα ψηλά ,βλέπουμε το Βουνό του Κάτω Γαρούνα(κυκλικός ορατός δρόμος στην κορυφή),όπου 400 μ δυτικότερα και ..χαμηλότερα σε ένα απείρου φυσικού κάλλους τοπίο οι εκκλησίες της Αγίας Παρασκευής και Αγίου Παντελεήμονα βρίσκονται που σε φωτογραφίες έχουν δειχθεί παλαιότερα αρκετά,αλλά σε βίντεο όχι ακόμα.Ελπίζεται φέτος & 26 Ιουλίου,αν όλα .πάνε καλά.!.!Μετά η κάμερα στρέφεται προς Άγιο Γόρδη σκόπιμα ,για να ..συγκρίνετε αναλογικά με τον ψηλό ..βράχο ν/δ του Αγίου Γόρδη,πόσο ψηλότερα είναι η β/α άκρη του βουνού του Κάτω Γαρούνα.Από το σημείο αυτό είναι η αφετηρία των Αθλητών των Αλεξιπτώτων πλαγιάς που από εδώ ..εκκινούν και καταλήγουν χαμηλά κάτω και μετά 2 + km κοντά στην παραλία του Αγίου Γόρδη.Ένα χόμπυ-άθλημα φυσικά για έμπειρους & ..τολμηρούς.Προχωράμε ..χαμηλώνοντας νότια και βλέπουμε πανοραμικά το Χωριό Κάτω Γαρούνας σε όλη την έκταση του και αρκετά ευδιάκριτο σε ότι σ' αυτό βρίσκεται.Προχωράμε πολύ νοτιότερα βλέποντας με την 2η ..προσπάθεια καλύτερα και σε όλη την έκτασή του τον δικό μας Άγιο Ματθαίο και επιστρέφοντας προς το Χωριό που μας .φιλοξένησε ,αφού δούμε αρχικά το καμπαναριό της εκκλησίας της Αγίας Παρασκευής και μετά μία περιμετρική από ανατολικά ψηλά ματιά καταλήγουμε δυτικά κάτω στον Άγιο Γόρδιο.!From the west side of Ringsroad Ano Garounas Corfu a very clear View in ..row.!~Aghios Gordios .down west a part of it,then south ..high the Mount of Kato Garounas by an extremely nice-different Enviroment & further 500 m west Churches of 'Saint Paraskevi' & 'Saint Panteleimon',celebrating on 27-7-2017.!Then ..lower & south a whole-clear view of Village Kato Garounas & further enough s/w of it(7 km) our Village Agios Mattheos.!Back to the area of Ano Garounas & 250 m about we see the Churchtower of the second Church of the Village 'Saint Paraskevi'.!Then after an around view to east,it ends again at Aghios Gordios Coast ,touristic area & favourite sommer destination.!

NICOSIA, Cyprus – A senior cleric from Cyprus' Orthodox Christian church has banned couples who marry in civil ceremonies to take wedding photos outside churches and chapels in a part of the island that is popular with holidaymakers. Metropolitan Vasilios of Constantia and Ammochostos told local TV channel Sigma on Friday that he imposed the ban after shameful photos surfaced online of what appeared to be a bride performing oral sex on her husband outside a chapel. The Metropolitan said he wrote the attorney general to ask if there are grounds to take legal action against the British couple, but hasn't yet received a reply. He said the couple's behavior caused great upheaval in the community and was a moral affront. He says visitors should show more respect.
