Live: Circus-Krone-Bau, Munich, Germany. Friday 24 June 1966 Live 1 Comment. The Beatles' brief 1966 tour of West Germany, Japan and the Philippines began on this day, with two concerts at the Circus-Krone-Bau in Munich, Germany. The shows took place at 5.15pm and 9pm. The second show was filmed by German television network Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF), and followed a brief afternoon rehearsal set for the cameras. ... The Beatles' set throughout the tour consisted of 11 songs: Rock And Roll Music, She's A Woman, If I Needed Someone, Day Tripper, Baby's In Black, I Feel Fine, Yesterday, I Wanna Be Your Man, Nowhere Man, Paperback Writer and I'm Down. For these first dates, the group's recent absence from live performance was apparent.
The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. With a line-up comprising John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they are regarded as the most influential band of all time. The group were integral to the evolution of pop music into an art form and to the development of the counterculture of the 1960s. Their sound, rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock and roll, incorporated elements of classical music and traditional pop in innovative ways. They also...

Die Beatles (West Germany) 24 June 1966
This German Television Special captured not only the Beatles (performing at the Circus-Krone-Bau) but a few songs from opening acts Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers, the Rattles and Peter and Gordon.
Unfortunately only 6 Beatles songs were presented. I have not learned the fate of the other 5 songs that were also performed on this date. I can only believe they must have been recorded, but still have not seen the light of day.
In their place, and to give the idea of a complete show, I have inserted contemporary photos of the Beatles along with audio from an audience tape of the show they performed in Essen the next day, June 25, 1966.

Mark Knopfler – Concert: Circus Krone, Munich (2nd of 3), Germany 1996
AMIT TV (0197)
Concert number 49 of Mark Knopfler’s first solo concert tour is featured here. As with the previous AMIT TV video 0197) , it is from Circus Krone in Munich. Very good DVD with audio & picture quality both very good. The taper was close to the front of the stage and in a central position. Good set list again, but unfortunately a few songs are missing. A fierce final solo on Telegraph road was one of many highlights.

The Beatles I Feel Fine (Circus-Krone-Bau, Munich, Germany)
Watch In 1080P
Lyrics:
Baby's good to me, you know
She's happy as can be, you know
She said so
I'm in love with her and I feel fine
Baby says she's mine, you know
She tells me all the time, you know
She said so
I'm in love with her and I feel fine
I'm so glad that she's my little girl
She's so glad, she's telling all the world
That her baby buys her things, you know
He buys her diamond rings, you know
She said so
She's in love with me and I feel fine, mmm
Baby says she's mine, you know
She tells me all the time, you know
She said so
I'm in love with her and I feel fine
I'm so glad that she's my little girl
She's so glad, she's telling all the world
That her baby buys her things, you know
He buys her diamond rings, you know
She said so
She's in love with me and I feel fine
She's in love with me and I feel fine

The Beatles - Yesterday (Live at Circus-Krone-Bau, Munich, Germany 1966)
El show dio inicio de 5:15 pm hasta las 10:00 pm.
El segundo show fue grabado por la televisión alemana (ZDF).
Los Beatles tocaron un total de 11 canciones y entre ellas fueron: Rock And Roll Music, She's A Woman, If I Needed Someone, Day Tripper, Baby's In Black, I Feel Fine, Yesterday, I Wanna Be Your Man, Nowhere Man, Paperback Writer y I'm Down.
La falta de escenario era notoria y es que George Harrison presentó Yesterday como parte de Beatles For Sale, mientras McCartney se equivocaba en cada verso de las canciones.

Mark Knopfler – Concert: Circus Krone, Munich (1st of 3), Germany 1996
AMIT TV (0196)
The first of the three concerts held at Circus Krone in Munich during Mark Knopfler’s initial solo tour during 1996. Filmed from a good central position a few rows from the front and with good picture & audio quality, makes this a nice concert to watch. Mark and the “96-ers” were now more than half-way through the tour and a lot more spontaneity was starting to become noticeable in the bands performances. Most of the core songs were very tight and it was nice to see 3 of the lesser played numbers here in, “I'm the fool”, “Vic and Ray” and “The long highway”.
Not the complete concert.
