RICHMOND CITY HALL 1949
A brief look inside Richmond City Hall, Richmond, Calif. in 1949. Located at 2555 Nevin Avenue, the building would be torn down in 1950 to make room for the Richmond Auditorium which was part of the new Civic Center. A newer more modern City Hall opened in the Civic Center complex in September 1949.
Buffalo, New York City Hall Narrow Observation Deck
This is the observation deck of Buffalo, New York's City Hall. I posted 3 videos shot from this location. This surrounds the 28th floor of the building. It was not easy shooting the other videos while trying to hold the camera as high as possible and watching my viewscreen while walking around the deck and not bumping into the wall. Here is the deck itself while walking around.

Must Watch: Otis/Dover Elevators and View - Los Angeles City Hall, Los Angeles CA
Saving my Califronia video for last is in Los Angeles City Hall in Downtown Los Angeles California as I wrap up the video from my Christmas 2018/19 trip. This is my first time visiting the city hall in Los Angeles and I heard that it does have the very nice view of the city of Los Angeles and their skyline too. This building was used to be the tallest 1928-1968 (40 years).
There are 3 sets of elevators are feature in this video. The main elevator are Vintage Otis and since then Dover moderate these historic elevator and they restored their elevator cab and it is an very nice elevator. I only ride the high rise. At the 22nd floor there is another 2 elevator serve floor 22-26 and that one are Traction. And finally at the 26th floor there is another elevator serve floor 26 & 27 and that one is Hydraulic. The top elevator are nice but basic.
At the 27th floor of the city hall, you get to see the view of Los Angeles skyline itself and It is on this video too.
There is two other elevator that doesn't go up in the tower and I didn't filmed those and also the low rise serve the tower section too.
Hope you enjoy this video and be sure you subscribe :)

U.S. Hydraulic Elevators at University Town Center in Santa Cruz, CA
This building looks like it has 3 floors from the outside, but it has 5 floors. The top 2 floors are smaller, to reduce shadows. This building is used by University of California - Santa Cruz. This elevator has very odd fixtures. The fixtures were originally U.S. Soft-Touch fixtures. But the buttons were replaced with Adams Survivor California code compliant buttons.

BOUNCY Dover Traflomatic Traction Elevators at The Sunsphere in Knoxville, TN
Filmed in June 2019.
First of all, I want to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas Eve, and I figured we should Celebrate with something relatively famous. I'm sure you all recognize these!!!
These are the Elevators at the Sunsphere in Knoxville, Tennessee. Built in 1982 for the World's Fair, this place looks somewhat similar in design to the Reunion Tower in Dallas, however, this place is only 266 ft tall. This place may not be the Tallest or most exciting Observation Deck I've been to or in the World, however, it's FREE to go into, has VERY NICE Views of this Beautiful Old Little City, and the Windows on the Observation level were layered in 24 Karat Gold Dust, giving the Tower a Very Cool Golden Appearance that gives the Sunsphere its iconic name.
As for the elevators, Believe it or Not, they actually aren't original. A vintage ad someone else in the community found and showed me suggests these elevators were Originally Montgomery, and not only that, but they were actually Glass before. After the 1982 World's Fair, this place sat vacant and basically abandoned until the Early 90s, which is when I'm guessing the elevator shafts were enclosed and also when the elevators were replaced by Dover with the Traditional fixtures and Traflomatic equipment that you see today in this video. While I wish the elevators were still Glass and I would've loved to see what they originally looked like, these elevators are still a TON of fun to ride!!! What's weird is that you can barely feel them move, they kind of felt like Ecodiscs where they feel like you're floating, but you still felt them move a bit and they're more sturdy, and as you will see in the video, even though you barely feel them actually move they're VERY BOUNCY!!!! That's obviously not a good thing, although it made these pretty fun to ride and even though these don't smell the best nor are they in the best shape, they're still pretty cool.
But yeah, I found it interesting to find out that these were actually a mod to some former Monty's and from the looks of it, these will soon be modded again.... At least according to this article anyways...
But with all of that being said, have a Great Christmas Eve, and enjoy the video!!!
Installed in 1982. (Glass Montgomery with A Series or G&P Fixtures)
Modernized in Circa Early to Mid 1990s. (Dover with New Enclosed Cabs and Shafts, New Traflomatic Controllers, New Motors, New Traditional fixtures, New Lanterns, etc. Nothing was left original, basically a total replacement with the exception of the Outer Doors on the upper floors.)

ThyssenKrupp Traction High-Rise Elevators at Plaza Tower One, Centennial, CO
