PEDG 2014 Conference Banquet at Claregalway Castle, Galway, Ireland.
Over 120 delegates who attended the PEDG2014 conference in Galway danced the night away in Claregalway Castle. This was the first party to take place at the castle in nearly 300 years and turned out to be an amazing House Warming with wonderful food and entertainment including a pig on the spit BBQ, sean nos dancing, flying hawks, a Town Crier and Ceili Dancing all organised by Go West. gowest.ie

Claregalway Medieval Church 'Domo Dei de Cogan'
In Claregalway, the ruins of a lesser known medieval church lies by the south bank of the Clare river. Thought out the centuries its origins were lost to history!
Upon the discovery of the will of John de Cogan I, founder of the Franciscan Friary, it has been brought to light that the Carthusians of Kinaleghin (Abbey) were also present in Clare (Claregalway)
in the late 13th to early 14th century.
