The visitor center at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site was originally built in 1966 as a part of the National Park Service's Mission 66 Program. Today, the visitor center is co-operated by the both the National Park Service and the United States Forest Service. Recent renovations to the visitor center (2015) transformed the historic building as an information center for both Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The visitor center features rotating archaeological exhibits from the national historic site and art exhibits from local native artists. The building also has a theater that shows 2 films from the National Park Service and the United States Forest Service: Oregon Experience: Fort Vancouver, and Mount St. Helens - Eruption of Life.

Oregon History 101 Promotional Video
Oregon History 101 is a nine-month public history program series designed to give Oregonians a basic understanding of the state’s significant people, places, and events. Each month, historians will present a chapter of Oregon History, beginning with the earliest peoples and ending with the turn of the twenty-first century. The series will emphasize Oregon’s connection to historical themes in American History, including Native history, early exploration, western expansion, race, gender, and social justice, and the post-industrial economy. Series Editors Dr. Carl Abbott and Dr. William Lang have designed the series and invited many of the state’s most distinguished senior scholars to speak. Each presentation will feature images from the Oregon Historical Society archives and will be filmed and made available on the World Wide Web, along with research guides and other digitized material from The Oregon Encyclopedia and the Oregon History Project. All events will take place at McMenamins Kennedy School (Portland) and will be free and open to the public.

Many of the stuff is just at a glance so its hard to tell. The tractor missing the front axle and right wheel at 4:03 behind the high wheel base machine and at 6:34 is a firetube boiler steam tractor and the whole body holds steam and it is self propelled, it was most likely built before 1900. Firetube boilers went out of favor very quickly because they were VERY dangerous. at 7:47 you can see the tractors other wheel. If you were to go up a steep incline firetube boilers would explode. The large steam engine at 4:19 given the two large drums I'm betting its an early yarder because those drums would have chains or cables spun around it and the wooden sled at 4:53 would be pulled by the steam engine/yarder mentioned previously through the block/tackle bolted on it. at 8:31 its a splitter that was most likely used to make cedar shakes. A newer one was used at a shake making facility on dirty jobs and Mike Row was terrified by it (understandably). But on a side note, rubber was used in the 1800's and often times on pistol grips of revolvers because it was more expensive than it is today.

I can't tell what most of the equipment at this museum does. It has a lot of lumberjack equipment. The Visitor Center is entirely full of Twilight stuff. There are a couple of lifesize cutouts and stuff. Sorry, I didn't take any video of the inside of the Tourist Visitor Center.
