It's our first night in Japan ever and we're staying at a CAPSULE HOTEL! The futuristic design gave me galaxy vibes. It felt like we were inside a spaceship floating among the stars.
The pods turned out to be more spacious than expected. I did not get claustrophobic, but everyone's level of comfort varies in enclosed spaces. How about the rest of the experience? Watch the full video to see the detailed tour!

A spiritual successor to Battlefield 3’s Operation Métro, Operation Underground is a true passion project when it comes to level design. With our original designer of Métro at the helm, Operation Underground keeps the former map’s intense close-quarter combat in a highly recognizable environment and removes bottlenecks that could make a match stale. In addition, new flanking routes and gameplay dynamics are added to double down on the fun.
Operation Underground is a map of Battlefield V which was introduced on October 3rd, 2019 as part of the Battlefest event.[1] It is a reimagined version of Operation Métro from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4: Second Assault.[2]
Taking place in the final months of World War II, the map depicts the British Army attacking an Axis stronghold located beneath the streets of an unidentified German city. Following their crossing of the Rhine River during Operation Varsity in late March 1945, the British advanced eastwards towards the Elbe and the Baltic Sea, forming the northern pincer of the Allied invasion of Germany. The city of Hamburg was one of the last remaining pockets of resistance in the northwest, and one of only two cities in the country along with Berlin to have an underground railway, or U-bahn. This fell to the British on May 3rd, less than a week before the final German surrender and the end of the war in Europe.
Operation Underground takes place in the ruins of a sprawling riverside city. Once industrious, with a skyline of smokestacks and neat rows of townhouses, the urban expanse has disintegrated under the weight of years of strategic bombing, leaving no building unscarred and no road without craters. Yet even as the end draws near, a final futile battle must be fought for what remains - regime banners drape from every facade and lamppost, demanding a defiant last stand, while artillery bursts and droning propaganda loudspeakers, echoing across the canal and throughout the devastated streets, form the backing choir of the city's swan song. The battle has seemingly claimed all spaces within the city - bombing strikes blanket the German positions across the river, while Spitfires circle above the ash clouds like opportunistic buzzards, pouncing on targets on the shattered streets below. To escape destruction the enemy retreats underground, until a V-1 Rocket strike aimed at the British HQ inadvertently reveals their refuge in the metro tunnels below the Rathausplatz city station, and a new frontline takes shape.
Above ground the combination of wide, debris-strewn boulevards with streetcar connections and rows of ruined but widely accessible multi-story terrace houses at their sides, as found at horizontal either end of the map, is a familiar setting. While relatively restricted compared to Rotterdam and Devastation due to map boundaries, they nonetheless offer both open sightlines for longer range engagements as well as confined interiors and back alleys that predominately dictate close quarters fighting. However in the underground areas that comprise the map center, which cannot be bypassed on street level, infantry engagements are unlikely to occur beyond short range. Within the main tunnels train cars and supporting columns break up line of sight considerably, while along the flanks, a network of claustrophobic utility corridors and interconnecting smaller rooms there is even less room to manoeuvre and shoot.
In comparison to the previous iterations of Operation Métro, the area is shorter with only around 200m of tunnel end-to-end, but has been expanded laterally with more branching pathways to the sides of the main route. This offers players more opportunities for flanking than before, although bottlenecks can still occur around the many narrow doorways and passages within, and some entryways can be blocked completely using Fortifications. Despite this Operation Underground is still quite small compared to other maps, which prevents use of vehicles of any kind. Furthermore, with the main body of the map taking place underground, Squad Reinforcements are limited to Supply Canister Drops and Smoke Barrages. The map also contains a Levolution-like event where the metro floods at specific times, indicated by a warning claxon and loudspeaker broadcast, after which extra routes become opened up.

Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS:
CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Hilts (Steve McQueen) meets Luger (Hannes Messemer) for the first time after his attempt to cross the camp warning wire.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Great Escape is based on the true story of a group of Allied prisoners of war who managed to escape from an allegedly impenetrable Nazi prison camp during World War II. At the beginning of the film, the Nazis gather all their most devious and troublesome POWs and place them at a new prison camp, which was designed to be impervious to escapes. Immediately, the prisoners develop a scheme where they will leave the camp by building three separate escape tunnels. Richard Attenborough is the British soldier who masterminds the whole plan, and who commands his motley squad--featuring Charles Bronson as a Polish trench-digging expert, James Garner as an American with a talent for theft, Donald Pleasence as a masterful forger, and Steve McQueen as an American rebel--through the construction of the tunnels and, eventually, their escape. An epic adventure film, The Great Escape runs nearly three hours, featuring a rousing Elmer Bernstein score and exciting action sequences -- including a notorious motorcycle chase between McQueen and the Nazis -- the likes of which had never been seen before in Hollywood productions.

10 People who Fell into Animal Enclosures at Zoos

Zoos are a place for the average person to see animals they might not ever get the chance to observe in the wild. Zoos also have the purpose of conserving certain species, trying to make sure they don't die out to extinction.. and in other cases they can be a sanctuary against poaching and hunters.
Levan Merritt 1986
As encounters with great apes go, Harambe wasn't the first incident of a child falling into a gorilla enclosure. It happened at the Durrell Wildlife Park in Jersey, Channel Islands in the UK, when Five year old Levan Merrit somehow fell into the zoo's gorilla enclosure, falling far enough that he lost consciousness when he hit the ground.
Beijing Zoo 2009
Pandas. They're endangered, and they're absolutely adorable. That cuteness draws in many crazy panda-fans for Gugu, a panda at the Beijing Zoo. People come from all over to see him, and more than a few have snuck into his enclosure.
Pittsburgh zoo, 2012
For all of these stories, a surprising number don't end with someone being killed, considering they're usually just feet from dangerous and unpredictable predators. But fatalities unfortunately do still happen sometimes, as was the case for two year old Maddox Derkosh.
Detroit Zoo, 1990
The Detroit zoo is a popular destination for many who wish to admire the wildlife of the world, and apparently also for those who like going where they shouldn’t be. This time though, the story has a happy ending, and the man had a good reason for jumping in. 33-year-old Rick Swope was enjoying his day at the Detroit zoo until he came across the chimpanzee exhibit.
Berlin Zoo, 2009
The case of the Berlin zoo polar bear attack incident in 2009 is both mysterious and sketchy, and not much is known right down to the name of the woman involved in this incident on our list.
Cleveland Metro parks Zoo, 2015
Once again, another case of a two-year-old boy being held on top of the protective railing and falling into an enclosure with several dangerous animals.
Santiago Metropolitan zoo
Suicide is never the answer. No matter what you might think, someone's going to be devastated by it, your community will be impacted, your loved ones will be at a loss without you and you'll be sorely missed by many.
Little Rock Zoo, 2015
A young child went to the Little Rock zoo with his father and grandfather for some fun, and multi generational bonding time.
Brookfield Zoo, 1996
Here we have a more feel-good story. A young child fell into the gorilla exhibit, and was set upon by a terrifying silverback female gorilla named Binti Jua.
Toronto Zoo, 2016
A visitor to the Toronto Zoo must have really like her hat, because she jumped down from the observation deck and right next to a flimsy fence that had a tiger behind it, in order to retrieve it. Amidst people yelling at her, calling her a moron, the woman leaped down and grabbed the hat while the tiger pounced on the fence separating them, desperately trying to get at her.
Flight Plan Trailer HQ (2005)
Director:Robert Schwentke
Cast:Jodie Foster,Peter Sarsgaard,Sean Bean,Kate Beahan.
Plot:A claustrophobic, Hitchcockian thriller. A bereaved woman and her daughter are flying home from Berlin to America. At 30,000 feet the child vanishes and nobody admits she was ever on that plane.
Volkswagen Tiguan better than Toyota Fortuner & Ford Endeavour?
Volkswagen’s previous attempt at the SUV segment with the Touareg wasn’t very fruitful. It’s taken quite some time since the Touareg was discontinued for the German brand to come up with a better answer for our SUV hungry market, but finally, we have it. Slotting in a segment where it rivals the likes of Ford Endeavour & Toyota Fortuner; the Tiguan does distinguish itself by being a more easy on parking space kind of SUV. With prices starting from almost 28 lakh, does this SUV have what it takes to find buyers? Let’s find out.
Exteriors:
Just like every other Volkswagen, the Tiguan also continues with bold straight crease lines all through. And there’s plenty of them to appeal to the target audience. In terms of size though, the Tiguan is a little humble. Park it next to other segment rivals, and the Tiguan would feel more car like, or rather a crossover; but not a full size SUV. It’s more to do with the overall stance which makes the Tiguan feel grounded. But that’s not a bad thing at all, especially when it helps the dynamics.
The Tiguan comes loaded with features you can boast around when talking about your car. LED headlamps with LED DRL, LED tail lamps, panoramic sunroof which gets a very soothing LED surround, LEDs on the door trim, roof rails, snazzy alloy wheels, illuminated scuff plates, body cladding, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, a very bold & likeable front grille and ample chrome accents all around. All of this does justify the asking price, and also, makes the Tiguan stand as a premium purchase.
One can buy the Tiguan with an option of 5 colours to choose from.
The styling department has nothing much to keep harping about. It’s minimalistic, and in that way, at its likeable best. The Tiguan has a design, which just like other German cars would age rather well.
Interiors:
Top notch build quality is what you instantly feel once you step inside the Tiguan. The all-black interior trim with contrast stitching does feel sporty. Thanks to the panoramic roof though, even with the black interiors, the Tiguan does not feel claustrophobic at all with ample light coming in. Just like the outside, the interiors of the Tiguan also sport sharp angular design elements. Fit and finish is typical of Germans and will make your cabin experience enriching.
Flat bottom steering wheel with audio controls, twin pot instrument console with MID, fantastic sounding 8-speakers with a touchscreen infotainment system, supportive seats with electric adjustment, cruise control, button start, soft touch plastics, auto open for the tail gate, 3-zone climate control, heated front seats and leather upholstery does give you that luxury feel inside the cabin. The subtle ambient light looks very classy, but there’s no colour options here.
The Tiguan is not a BIG SUV, so it is clearly a 5-seater at best. There’s no 7-seat layout even as an option. But there’s enough room for 5.
Space for luggage? Ample! 615 litres and a 60:40 split rear seat ensures you won’t have to make multiple rounds to move around your bags.
Engine, performance & handling:
The Tiguan comes to India with a single engine option. You can own this SUV powered by a 2.0L, TDI, turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel motor producing 143 PS of power @ 4,000 RPM and 340 Nm of torque between 1,750 – 2,750 RPM matched to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox with 4MOTION all-wheel drive. Now, Volkswagen claims that this motor will deliver a mileage of 17.06 kmpl.
Both variants of the Tiguan, the Comfortline & Highline come with an ECO mode, electric park brake, auto hold, paddle shifts, speed sensitive steering and a drive mode selector for the AWD system. The AWD system from Haldex remains engaged full-time and delivers torque to the front or rear wheels as and when the need arises. But most times, the Tiguan works as a FWD.
The Tiguan sprints above 100 kmph with ease, and that’s no surprise. But even on high speeds, above 150 kmph, the Tiguan stays planted. There’s very little body roll, not that most would notice either. Unlike other German cars where you complaint that the ride quality is stiff, the Tiguan begs to differ with a compliant suspension setup. I caught a quick nap on may way back on the rear seat of the Tiguan and I couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable back seat. No thuds felt & bumps were soaked up very well.
What we really loved was the ECO mode. In this setup, the engine disengages the gear once you lift of the throttle. The car then simply coasts and reduces the fuel need and helps you cover up a healthy distance. With the gearbox disengaged, there’s no engine braking and hence, coasting is at its maximum. Only when you hit the brake pedal, or the load is sensed, the Tiguan engages the gear as per the vehicle speed, and gets things back in control. Eco mode will easily deliver that 17 kmpl claim from Volkswagen.
Outside the Golden Cage of Banking
In this talk, Andreas covers the history of financial regulation in the United States, and how banks became the cop of last resort in countries around the world. He questions why we have come to accept totalitarian surveillance in our financial lives while protesting against other invasions of privacy. Finally, he argues that Bitcoin will thrive outside the golden cage of the banking cartel.
CORRECTION: At 13:19, I credit Edward Snowden with revealing that U.S. intelligence was tapping Chancellor Angela Merkel's phone calls. While those documents obviously contributed to verifying such activity, it was actually Der Spiegel who was primarily responsible for that finding:
This talk took place on June 27th 2019 at Technische Universität München for the Bitcoin Munich meetup in Munich, Germany:
