The new Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach officially reopened in September of 2017. The art center is located at 26389 Canal Road. between Orange Beach Waterfront Park and the Orange Beach Library.
The 10,000-square-foot Coastal Art Center complex includes The Hot Glass Shop, The Clay Studio, a cottage for art instruction and a gift shop inside the 5,000 square-foot gallery. The main building includes movable walls, picture windows overlooking Wolf Bay, a second-floor balcony and a grand staircase and wrap-around bay side porches. The gallery features local as well as regional artists as well as touring exhibits.
The new facility, by design, closely resembles the building that opened as the Orange Beach Hotel in the 1923, and was later a home to the Callaway family. The city of Orange Beach opened the building as an art and cultural center in 2005 and it is also home to after-school and summer programs for children. The new art center also includes an outdoor stage and a waterfront boardwalk and is available for bookings.

The City of Orange Beach is currently undergoing a complete restoration/renovation of the City of Orange Beach owned and operated Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach.
This world-class facility located on the picturesque back bays of Orange Beach Alabama will be home to some of the best art from local and renown artisans along the Gulf Coast and beyond. This beautiful waterfront facility is a highly sought after location for weddings and events as well.
The Coastal Art Center of Orange Beach campus is also home to The Hot Shop our fully-equipped glass blowing studio and The Clay Studio.

Orange Beach is a small city on Alabama's Gulf Coast. It's known as a water sports hub. Located on Wolf Bay, Waterfront Park has a fishing pier and picnic areas. The Orange Beach Indian & Sea Museum explores Native American and fishing history. To the west, The Wharf is a shopping area with an amphitheater. The Backcountry Trail winds from the city through Gulf State Park's beaches in the nearby city of Gulf Shores.
The best thing to do in Gulf Shores is enjoy the beaches. There are plenty of places to park at most public beaches. Some offer facilities and picnic tables. There are many beach access area that provide pedestrian access only. These are best if you are staying nearby and don't need a car to get to the beach. It is best to be aware of the Beach Warning Flags that tell you whether it is safe to go int othe ocean.
There is an unlimited amount of water sports activities available in Gulf Shores. Take your pick between waverunners, catamarans, parasailing, sailboats, boogie boards etc. at any of the numerous rental places along the beach. Orange Beach is located along the Gulf of Mexico, and is the easternmost community on Alabama's Gulf Coast, with Florida's Perdido Key bordering it to the east. The city of Gulf Shores is to the west.
Orange Beach offers a wide selection of family beach vacation opportunities, from condos directly on the beach to just across the street, dolphin cruises, recreational centers with tennis and basketball courts, golf course condo communities, beach houses and everything in between.

The CACOB offers a variety of classes and events, including special exhibits and the Orange Beach Festival of Art.
In 2009, the center became the first and only facility in the state of Alabama to open a public access glass blowing studio, The Hot Shop, where Dan Rush and Kerry Parks, resident glass artists, offer demonstrations and classes. Then, in 2014, CACOB welcomed a new addition to its facility, The Clay Studio. The studio features demonstrations and instruction by local ceramics artist Maya Blume-Cantrell.
Gulf Coast Art Alliance (GCAA)
Founded in 2013, Gulf Coast Art Alliance was opened at Waterway Village in Gulf Shores. The GCAA Art Gallery showcases more than 30 local and regional artists including watercolorists, painters, potters and sculptors.
From January-April and September-November on the first Saturday of every month, GCAA hosts their Art Market, which gathers dozens of fine artists to demonstrate, display and sell their work. Live music and children’s activities make the markets the perfect event for families.

The City of Orange Beach Senior Center and Orange Beach Library
The Orange Beach Adult Activity Center opened January 2003. The center is located adjacent to the Orange Beach Library. Amenities include arts and crafts, game room, multi-purpose room, and a screened porch overlooking Wolf Bay. Senior adult programs are offered throughout the year by professional staff.
Additionally, the multi-purpose room is available for rental for receptions, club meetings, etc. Due to functions and activities that are on-going at the Center, dates are limited. Contact Coordinator Carolyn Vines at 251-981-3440 to discuss availability.
The mission of the Orange Beach Public Library is to provide our community free and open access to the information, materials and services they need for life-long learning, civic engagement and the exchange of ideas.
