Spencer Pond Camps - Northern Maine Camp & Cabin Rentals - Lakefront Family Vacation
Step back in time into . . . Six off the grid authentic wilderness lakeside housekeeping cabins -- each with its own unique personality. The cabins are fully furnished for comfort -with homemade quilts, games, cozy spots to relax, and warm woodstoves. Cabins have docks, canoes, kayaks, and mountain bikes included at no extra charge so you can enjoy fishing, wildlife watching, and paddling on Spencer Pond. Screened porches on each camp allow you to sit comfortably and watch wildlife, listen to yodeling loons or enjoy the quiet whispering of the wind through the pines. No need to pack your tent, sleeping bag, tarps, cookstove, or camper trailer (these cabins have everything you will need).
Hidden deep in the woods (14 miles from our nearest neighbors and the only cabins on Big Spencer Pond!) our surroundings and rustic-cozy cabins offer you a piece of living history amidst scenic beauty. Enjoy the beauty and bounty of our pristine natural surroundings. Fish, hike, hunt, canoe, read, nap, bird watch, mountain bike, photograph, stargaze, build a campfire -- we would love to share this remote paradise with you.
Our little piece of heaven is located beneath the shadow of Little Spencer Mountain on Big Spencer Pond in Maine's Moosehead Lake Region. We are Recognized by the State of Maine as a certified Environmental Leader. We are eco-friendly while remaining balanced with real Native Maine sporting camp traditions. Completely unplugged and off grid you can unwind and reconnect yourself to the natural world. The location is adjacent to the Thoreau Wabanaki Trail, Maine Birding Trail and the Northern Forest Canoe Trail as well as the Moosehead Lake Region & Maine's Wild North Woods.
Established in 1901 by Mose Duty, a young Maine guide who began clearing land and felling logs on these grounds to build his cabin. He named it Sabotowan -- the Abenaki word for nearby Big Spencer Mountain. From this first cabin the history of Spencer Pond Camps was born. Christine and Dana are both registered Maine Guides who take pride in sharing the splendor of the Maine Woods with our guests.
The Magic of Spencer beckons you to come take a step back in time and stay in one of our remote wilderness cabins. Come experience for yourself the unsurpassed scenic splendor and enchanted natural beauty of this special place the way life used to be.

Welcome To The Peaceful Cabot Cove Cottages Village
Welcome To The Peaceful Cabot Cove Cottages Village
Kennenbunkport, Maine, offers something new in the realm of bed and breakfasts. Cabot Cove Cottages is a group of 16 cottages built on Kennenbunk Cove. Coastal Living reports that each cottage sports a nautical look both inside and out. The cottages are painted in blue and white, and inside they are decorated with rope and brass and all things relating to the sea.
Each cottage is individually owned, but can be easily rented out when the owner is not using the home. The owner's association takes care of running the vacation rentals and managing the bed and breakfast side of the program. Those who own the cottages have a win-win position with a Cabot Cove Cottage. In case you want to take a look inside one of these beauties, take a look at the Sandpiper here. What do all the cottages include?
Coastal Living shares how breakfast arrives at the cottages in tote bags and is a continental style breakfast. Bed and Breakfast states that each cottage comes with basic amenities, a basket of bath goods, access to kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, croquet and the spa. Bikes can be rented there at the cove, or visitors can choose to walk into the nearby Dock Square to view the captain's homes there. Each cottage has Adirondacks on the front lawn for guests to sit and enjoy the day in.What are the cottages options?
Bed and Breakfast states that most of the cottages are one bedroom, one bathroom cottages. The Anchorage sleeps six and has one bathroom. Sleepy Hollow, Sandpiper and Sweet Dreams all have two bedrooms and one bathroom. How's the life at the Cove?
Destination Kennebunkport describes the Cove as tranquil and peaceful. One visitor to the Cove said, The breakfast baskets are wonderful with fresh squeezed orange juice, and I loved the peace and serenity of this place. The cove is easily accessible to all who stay in the village. The center green has all the cottages facing it. For those who love the ocean and want a quite pace in life, the Cove may be the idyllic place to go for a retreat.
