Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Surf Museum
This was a surprise to me...some nice examples of early surfboards, and what looks to be an early wooden version of same at the end of the clip. Does anyone know who is pictured with all those autographs...maybe the founder of Ron Jon shops?? I can't imagine the skill involved in facing the huge waves of the Pipeline in Hawaii armed with only these boards. This is a sport that really tests the mind and body!
Surfing Santa Cocoa Beach 2019
Surfing Santa Cocoa Beach 2019 is about an epic event held every year in Cocoa Beach, Fl on Christmas Eve. Which is December 24th. This event includes surfing with people that dress up like Santa Claus and go surfing, paddle boarding, or Body Boarding. It also feature costume contest, live music, pictures with Santa, food and to raise money for the less fortunate. This was an awesome event. Go Some Mo Life.
There are no skill or age requirements to participate as a Surfing Santa, and the event is free. However, cash prizes are given out for the best themed costumes.
Since 2013, Surfing Santas has raised more than $130,000 for charity through donations and sales of official Surfing Santas T-shirts. All proceeds benefit the work of two organizations: the Grind for Life cancer support group and the 20-year-old Florida Surf Museum.

Santa Taught Me How To Surf | Surfing Santas Cocoa Beach FL 2018
The Surfing Santas event began in 2009 when founder George Trosset saw a car commercial with a Santa that was surfing that inspired him to fashion a Santa suit and surf with family on Christmas Eve. The event has grown to an annual occurrence with over 700 Santas and 10,000 spectators in 2017 with merchandise proceeds going to charity. I had a special opportunity to take a surfing lesson, along with George, Peanut, and elected city officials the day before Surfing Santas 2018. This is my journey.

So while in Cocoa Beach we decided to try and find the Ron Jon Museum , To our surprise it was really small so we decided to just go back to the shop cause it was bigger then the museum and had a lot more to see .
I never really been inside one but I will say it is worth it . Have you ever been in one ??

Cocoa Beach Surfing Santas 2015
Each year, on Christmas Eve morning, hundreds of Santas and Elves take to the waves at Cocoa Beach in a fundraiser for a Cancer charity and the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum. In 2015, 45 skydivers and about 500 Santas participated, with an estimated 6,000 spectators.

We head to Cocoa Beach, FL for the annual Surfing Santas event. The Surfing Santa event started in 2009 with George Trosset and family dressing as Santa and elves and surfing. The event picked up a few dozen family and friends the following year and has blossomed to more than 600 Santas showing up annually to surf and spread joy to more than 5,000 spectators. Merchandise is sold with proceeds going to charity - Grind for Life and Florida Surf Museum.

Watermans Challenge 2015
This is a fun, family-oriented, Summer surf contest hosted by the Florida Surf Museum every June in Cocoa Beach, Florida. All ages compete in shortboarding, longboarding, SUP, and tandem surfing. A Retro division is also featured, with riders on vintage boards, dressed in vintage surf gear. Surf's Up!

The waves of red in the waters off Florida's Space Coast weren't the dreaded red tide algae but rather hundreds of surfers dressed as Jolly Old St. Nick.

In December 2009, George Trosset, & George Jr. With his wife Britteny, paddled out for a Christmas Eve surf. For the last 5 years, the gathering has grown to over 200 Surfin' Santas in the water at the same time.
Surfin' Santas has evolved into annual gathering of the local surfing “tribes”, sharing the ride of Christmas Magic. It is the one day a year that ALL the local tribes share ALL the waves at a local surf spot.
On December 24, 2014 at 8 am EST, on Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach, Florida, this fantastically fun event will happen. Thousands of Surfin' Santas will gather to ride the waves and share fun in the sun for the 6th annual Surfin' Santas event.
This is all for a good cause too. All proceeds will be shared between the Grind for Life organization and the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum.

The Prominent Crew went out this year to check out surfing event known as Surfing Santas.
On December 24, 2016 at 8 am EST, at 2 Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach, Florida, this fantastically fun event will happen again. Hundreds of Surfing Santas will gather to ride the waves and share fun in the sun for the 8th annual Surfing Santas event. This is all for a good cause. All proceeds benefit two local non-profits, the “Grind for Life” organization and the Florida Surf Museum.
