The Brewery that lead the way in NWArkansas for Craft Beer: Core Brewing and Distillary
Are you a legend? How about a Beer Drinker? If so, this blog is for you! We're talking about Core Brewing Company in Springdale! If you've never tried Core, you're missing out! Buying it at a Core public house is always an experience, and I've found that that experience even goes home with me afterward as I pour one for myself while I watch the Razorbacks. Core has a great product and a great story that goes all the way back to 2010 when they started.
The Brewery that lead the way in NWArkansas for Craft Beer: Core Brewing and Distillary
The founder, Jesse Core, had a problem, the problem was that he was disappointed with the beer selection in Arkansas. So he decided to do something about it. He began production on a 1-barrel RIMS brewhouse with 8 small 27-gallon fermenters and then went one to build a community around his beer that truly makes it the Best Beer in Arkansas. You might be thinking, Yeah, everyone says their product is the best. Well, I believe that if your advertising requires an asterisk then it's not good advertising. Let me assure you, Jesse's claim of Best Beer in Arkansas doesn't require an asterisk, It was Core beer was voted Best Local Brewery in 2013 and 2015, and has been consistently voted best beer in almost every beer competition or brewary festival from the inception of Core back in 2010!
While the beer is amazing, the culture is something that truly makes Core special, when you go in, you know that you're a part of something special. That's because of their core values. They take pride in being Arkansas born and brewed. In being at the core of the community, In having the best brewers brewing the best damn beer in Arkansas. Period. They take pride in doing what they know is right, not what they’re told is right.

But probably my favorite part of all of this is the Weiner of Core Brewing Company! I know what you might be thinking. What!?!? I'm talking about the Weiner Dog that you'll see all around Core Brewing Company! His name is Barney and he is a big part of the team! 19 years ago Jesse’s mother bought him as a consolation for Jesse after his team lost the state football championship to their cross-town rival. Barney is unfortunately no longer with us, but he was a special member of the Core Family, and is now immortal! Barney has always been and will continue to be a part of the Core team. He is featured in the “Take Pride” logo, as a reminder of what they do at Core and where they came from. “Take Pride” is the battle cry, oath, and commitment to their customers! So next time you want to go out, pick up some beer, or find a place to hang out with friends. Check out Core Brewing Company, you'll be glad you did!

Core Brewing Company's Arkansas Red Review
ARKANSAS BREWED.
COMMUNITY DRIVEN.
There’s something that sets Arkansas apart from anywhere else in the country. This place isn’t for everyone. It isn’t a place for talkers, its a place for doers. WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY AROUND HERE, for different reasons. It isn’t about the money or fame, it isn’t about being the next best thing. It’s about doing right by the people of Arkansas: our family, friends, and neighbors. Because if we don’t, who will?
That’s what sets our beer apart: we brew what Arkansans want. This community is what matters most to us, and its who we are here to serve.
WE ARE CORE OF ARKANSAS AND WE BREW ITS BEER.
ABOUT CORE
Since 2010, we have led Northwest Arkansas’ craft beer efforts and have loved doing it. Here is our story, our values, and our mission, and we hope we can bring you on board as we continue this crazy ride.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Core Brewing Company started in September of 2010. The founder, Jesse Core, began production on a 1-barrel RIMS brewhouse with 8 small 27-gallon fermenters. Our first client was Kingfish in Fayetteville. By 2012, we expanded our brewhouse to a 4-vessel, 25-barrel brewhouse with 4 x 25-barrel fermenters and 2 x 25-barrel Brite tanks. Demand grew quickly, and Core expanded again by adding 10 more 40-barrel fermentation vessels and 5 more 40-barrel Brite tanks. Recently, we have added 3 x 120 BBL Fermentors and 1 x 120 Brite.
We are grateful that consumer demand has been high and driving our growth. At Core, we understand that our consumers expect high-quality product and we aim to exceed their expectations.
OUR CORE VALUES
We take pride in being Arkansas born and brewed.
We take pride in being at the core of our community since 2010.
We take pride in having the best brewers brewing the best damn beer in Arkansas. Period.
We take pride in doing what we know is right, not what we’re told is right.
WE ARE CORE OF ARKANSAS AND
WE BREW ITS BEER.
ABOUT THE WIENER
The wiener’s name is Barney.
Jesse’s mother bought him as a consolation for Jesse after his team lost the state football championship to their cross-town rival. Barney was a special member of the Core Family for over nineteen years, and now he’s immortal!
Barney has always been and will continue to be a part of the Core family. He is featured in our “Take Pride” logo, as a reminder of what we do and where we came from. “Take Pride” is our battle cry, our oath, and our commitment to you.
ABOUT THE BREWERY
Our brewery is located in Springdale, Arkansas.
At Core, we’re a proud force, from all walks and all schools bound together by our insatiable desire to create a beer worth hanging our lives on. Our product is crafted with the diligence and pride of small-town America, delivered with the hospitality for which the South is known.

Millstone Cellars Cidery! LK's Doing Cool Sh*t Vlog 4/11/2015
Recently visited Millstone Cellars, a cidery and meadery in rural Monkton, Maryland. Their cider isn't even remotely similar to the ultra-sweet stuff you're probably used to. It's very dry and tart, and they put weird ingredients in it (like hops!).
Sorry about the wind noise and shakiness. I've decided that my HTC One M8 phone isn't quite up to the task of shooting decent video, so I'll reluctantly be switching to my regular HD camcorder. Kinda sucks, because that's one more thing I'll have to carry around in Europe. Oh well - 1st World Problems, right?
I'm testing out this new vlog format in advance of my European trip in September. If you're in Europe, tell me some cool places to go, or some crappy places to avoid as I make my trek from Munich to Bernese Oberland to Disneyland Paris to Amsterdam!
