Winter Park is a city near Orlando, Florida. The population was 27,852 at the 2010 United States Census. Winter Park was founded as a resort community by northern business magnates in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its main street includes civic buildings, retail, art galleries, a private liberal arts college (Rollins College), museums, a park, a train station, a golf course country club, a historic cemetery, and a beach and boat launch. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art showcases glass art by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Overlooking Lake Osceola, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens displays works by the notable Czech-American artist. By Lake Virginia, Cornell Fine Arts Museum shows antiquities and contemporary works.
Lazy boat rides, craft cocktails and a diverse range of galleries are abundant in this manicured town of eight square miles, which manages to make even the Amtrak train seem quaint, stopping as it does in the middle of the town's mini-Central Park.

Cornell Museum, Rollins University Campus Orlando Florida
This building burned to the ground at some time in thee past and all the art it housed was lost but it was rebuilt and the art it has now was donated by Smithsonian and various generous benefactors. Visit this museum when in Orlando. It is a small but very interesting museum worth the time and effort.

Visiting Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Orlando
The Orlando area in Florida has a lot to offer, and even though the area is of course mostly known and related to both Disney parks and Universal, that, by no means imply, those are the only interesting activities to do in the area, as there are hundreds of attractions. So much so that it would take you months to visit each and every one. In our last trip to Orlando, we skipped the parks and went to the cultural attractions, and were pleasantly surprised by Winter Park, which is a lovely area to spend the day while enjoying the outdoors, the lake and a nice warm walk. But also, set aside a couple of hours to visit the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, featuring the biggest collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany´s works.
The Morse Museum houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933), including the artist and designer’s jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows; his chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago; and art and architectural objects from his Long Island country estate, Laurelton Hall. The Museum’s holdings also include American art pottery, late 19th- and early 20th-century American painting, graphics, decorative art.

Welcome to the Polasek Museum
Founded in 1961, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens is home to an art collection created by award-winning, internationally recognized, Czech-born American sculptor Albin Polasek. The museum's primary exhibit is American representational sculpture, with over 200 works by Polasek. The museum also exhibits contemporary art in all mediums in its gallery space. Guided tours of the historic Polasek residence and chapel are hallmarks of this museum, as well as its breathtaking sculpture garden located on Lake Osceola. The museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of only 30 members of the National Trust's Historic Artists' Homes and Studios.

In 1977, the Art Museum at FIU opened its doors and was a small gallery, no bigger than 3,000 square feet. With a desire to increase the presence of the fine arts on campus, Yann Weymouth was called on to be the Architect for the new Art Museum at FIU, whose current works include the Uris Educational Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Following the groundbreaking in 2003 for its new facilities, the Art Museum at FIU was officially renamed The Patricia & Phillip Frost Museum and is three times its original square footage with 9,000 square feet of gallery space.

Rebecca Campbell: The Potato Eaters : Rebecca Campbell is a figurative artist, whose work focuses on themes associated with human existence in contemporary society. Embracing both realism and abstraction, Campbell makes paintings, drawings and sculptures that frequently revolve around the day-to-day lives of average people, to whom she lends a heroic quality. Campbell’s new series of work, entitled The Potato Eaters, examine aspects of family and cultural history, memory, documentation and nostalgia. The title is taken from Vincent van Gogh's 1885 masterpiece that portrays Dutch peasants gathered at a meager meal. As in van Gogh’s celebrated work that addresses themes of noble human existence and connection to the land, Campbell references her family history and relatives who lived in Idaho during the early and mid-twentieth century. The series includes paintings that convey disappearing rural and sub-urban landscapes, as well as figurative works inspired by old black and white photographs. In addition, Campbell both honors and reflects upon oft-ignored domestic activities, such as canning and cleaning, through several sculpture installations.
Campbell earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Oregon in 1994, and Master of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2001. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at the Phoenix Art Museum, Arizona; the Cornell Fine Arts Museum, Winter Park, Florida; the American Academy of Arts and Letters, New York; The Portland Art Museum, Oregon; the Central Utah Arts Center and Brigham Young University, Utah; the UCLA Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, and L.A. Louver, Venice, CA, among others. Campbell has taught at Art Center College of Design, Claremont Graduate University and Vermont College of Fine Art, and is currently assistant professor at California State University, Fullerton. Rebecca Campbell lives and works in Los Angeles.
