Cornet Falls - Telluride Colorado
The Cornet Creek Trail is a short hike with a spectacular finish at the 80 foot Cornet Falls. The hike affords you beautiful views of the Telluride Ski Resort. Note that the hike requires some scrambling on loose soil and rock so wear sturdy shoes. Don't be afraid to explore the view from different sides of the falls!

Cold Rushing Water to a Waterfall - Hiking Zapata Falls near Great Sand Dunes National Park
Three miles up a bumpy road, near Great Sand Dunes National Park, you'll find the trailhead for Zapata Falls. A 1/4 mile hike leads us to rushing water, where we are glad we have our waterproof hiking shoes! Just a few hundred feet up river is the waterfall. Watch us grab a geocache and see what rating the kids give the wet hike at the end.

In this 11th episode of our 2017 trip across the United States on the Trans America Trail (aka: TAT), we reached the top of Cinnamon Pass, a very challenging trail at 12,640 feet of altitude. Then we descend down to have lunch at Silverton, one of Colorado's most picturesque mining towns, to end our day's journey in the popular winter town of Telluride. The next day we travel through beautiful aspen forests and into the plains to finally cross the border with Utah. Just another amazing section of the TAT. This Trans America Trail crosses the country from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific Coast mostly off-road. Please stay tuned as we are committed to bringing you new episodes in the coming weeks. barefoot: running trail with 5 year old asher
This is actually second loop for Asher after Ivan bailout on first attempt. Ivan's one step is equivalent to 4-5 steps for others, much challenging.. Asher is getting a lot stronger now. The trail gradient is much steep and he just run up with ease.
U.S. Ski Team Heli-Skiing in New Zealand
Call it El Niño, the conditions in the Southern Hemisphere this year have been supreme. The snow gods paid a visit to New Zealand for both the men and the women, giving them the chance for some powder days and heli-skiing adventures. Thanks to trustees Steven Reid, Eric Resnick and more, for making this adventure possible. The Speed Unicorns—Laurenne Ross, Alice McKennis and Jackie Wiles—traveled to Mt. Cook for a shred session featuring faceshots galore, while the American Downhillers—Marco Sullivan, Steven Nyman, Andrew Weibrecht and Travis Ganong—enjoyed some freshies at Mt. Aspiring.
