Driving along the bay front in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 18,2013 after rush hour 5:30pm..
This will unfortunately be changed forever due to changing of the road along the bay front area after this was developed in the 1940's. The city wants to redeveloped the entire bay front area which will incorporate more parks and other activities instead of the beautiful drive along the seawall area.
I have lived in the city for 44 years and it is a major disappointment to see this beautiful drive be thrown away along with the nice clean look too!
The thing that I enjoy the most was the nice green wide medians where a person could safely cross the street without any problems. All of the palm trees were lined up along both sides of the medians plus colorful flowering vegetation too. It would take many years for all of these plants to establish to the climate.
The traffic lanes for many decades were three lanes on both sides of the median and very good visibility during any weather conditions.
People that have visited our city would love this scenic view but starting in two weeks (as of October 18,2013) construction will begin as this will radically change this beautiful landscape to a more congested drive (away) from the seawall area.
The lanes will be pushed away from the seawall area and then be reduced to only two lanes heading southbound with only one lane heading northbound and another lane separated by a much thinner median heading northbound. After this changes a person can no longer park along the seawall area as you could before! In the past anyone can sit along the seawall and take pictures or videos of ships coming in or seeing a beautiful sunrise with the clouds no matter what the weather is. I never saw people walking along the seawall area if the temperature was very cold or extremely bad weather. You could at least sit in a car and not be bothered by the elements but once again no more parking after all of this gets changed!

The Trabert family vacation was a success! This video is of my family and I on vacation in Galveston, Texas. We had a blast! There was a lot of activities to do there such as visiting Moody Gardens, deep sea fishing, traveling to Houston to visit NASA's Johnson Space Station, checking out Pleasure Pier, and just relaxing with the family and enjoying our vacation. A wind surfer was nice enough to allow me to film him wind surfing while he was in front of our beach house - which was really cool. Overall, this was a fun and successful trip and I would recommend traveling to Galveston, Texas and enjoy their clean beaches and beautiful weather!
