Forest Estate, designed by leading architect Riccardo Tossani, captures the romance of a mountain retreat in a unique forest setting in the heart of Hirafu Village. Nestled amongst native trees, each individually designed luxury residence is customized to provide breathtaking views of Mt. Yotei from spacious interior living areas. Elegant, modern buildings clad in natural wood in a landscape of trees and native gardens form an exclusive and protected private estate community.
Renowned for their ecologically sustainable and architecturally iconic work, Riccardo Tossani Architecture has created a number of luxury private residences and resorts in the Niseko region. This Estate of 5 diverse residences is no exception to RTA's list of significant works. The contemporary alpine architecture of each home owes its form to a number of the sites unique characteristics, including panoramic views of the majestic Mt. Yotei, one of the most beautiful extinct volcanoes in Japan. These dramatic views are enjoyed under the sweeping roofs of each residence, and the homes are designed to nestle into the hillside so as to provide an abundance of light and garden views to all levels. Extensive replanting of trees native to the Hirafu area is the central landscape concept, which recaptures the forest character and provides shading and privacy to each home.
The dark, solid cedar siding pays homage to local Japanese tradition of torching the surface of wood to improve its resistance and durability. This strong, indigenous character is enhanced with contrasting white window frames and whitewashed balcony and porch walls, to add an element of playfulness to the architectural composition.
Natural materials are used extensively inside and out, with rich, dark colors evoking a sense of warmth and comfort consistent with the ideal of a mountain chalet. Open-plan Living and dining areas have high, raked ceilings, a fireplace and picture windows with outstanding views. Custom designed, hand-crafted furniture with high quality fabrics and leather add to the rich, cozy warmth of the living and sleeping rooms.
Open stairwells give drama and a strong sense of connection between the levels. Bathrooms have spacious wet areas with large shower stalls and Japanese baths that allow therapeutic plunges in deep, hot water.
High quality fixtures and equipment are used throughout each residence, with gas and kerosene tanks and boilers hidden from view. Heating is provided by a discrete, safe and non-allergenic radiator system which optimizes energy efficiency and comfort. Each residence has an air-lock and ski equipment locker room, and generous storage spaces are provided for both daily and long-term owner use.

Wire Tree Tutorial – Model Railroad
Building fantastic looking and very realistic trees from scratch doesn’t have to be hard and I’ll show you just how easy it really is.
This tree will look fantastic on any model railroad, war gaming terrain or a display diorama and it will add life to any layout.
Follow along as I step you through the process I use to create this great looking apple tree. The great part is you can still manipulate the tree to change its shape even after you’ve completed it. It’s a time consuming process but the results are well worth the time and effort.
This particular tree is in HO scale, the wire I used scales down well to N scale and it’s simple to use thicker gauge wire to model in the larger scales.

Story behind the video & song:
We've set an ambitious goal to film in front of all Seven Wonders of the World. We started with the Great Wall of China (
As our tour of Brazil approached we set our sights on our next Wonder: Christ the Redeemer. This incredible piece of art soars 10 stories in the air, stretches 100 feet wide and weighs 1.4 million pounds (630,000 kg). But even more impressive is that it was built in the 1920's on a peak of a sheer 2,300 ft. (700 meters) cliff overlooking Rio de Janeiro.
Not far from this inspiring statue are the Iguazu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil -- a natural Wonder of the World. Made up of 275 waterfalls that stretch across 1.7 miles (2.7 km), to match the amount of water that flows down these falls you would need 2 million people to each pour a quart of water every second.
As we //consIdered what piece of music would be worthy of such incomparable locations we looked to songs that have been composed or used to praise Jesus Christ, for whom the statue was built and who billions believe created all the natural wonders of this world. We wanted to combine the melody of the heartfelt hymn of praise How Great Thou Art with one of the most beautiful melodies ever written -- the theme from the movie The Mission (Gabriel's Oboe.) The Mission is a movie that powerfully depicts the lives of men that lay down their lives for others. It was also filmed at Iguazu Falls. How Great Thou Art praises God and all that He has done for His children on this Earth. The two harmonize so beautifully with each other, both musically and thematically. As we played these pieces in front of the Christ Statue and Iguazu Falls we felt an overwhelming sense of wonder, peace, and joy.
This music video is not meant to exclude anyone that does not believe in God. We hope that it instead promotes spiritual feelings that can be felt by all -- gratitude for a beautiful Earth, for life, and for joy.
A wise man once said, If we thought of life as a gift, we might not demand nearly as much from it. And if we lived more graciously, giving of ourselves more freely to the well-being of others, many of our personal concerns would disappear, and life would become easier for all.
We respect all beliefs and opinions, but we hope that in the comments everyone can set aside religious differences and instead focus on building each other up -- through gratitude, inspiration, kindness and mutual respect.

Why I've chosen the theme and ideas to make the video?
I chose the subject because I am passionate about the idea of traveling and seeing new places, I think there is nothing more beautiful than let ourselves be surprised daily by the things that around us and what better than the wonders that nature gives us, unique creations, beautiful and unimaginable.
DESCRIPTIONS
Emerald Lake, Canada.
Emerald Lake is one of the most beautiful scenery in Canada and is located in Yoho National Park (Province of British Columbia), is surrounded by the mountains of the Cordillera President, part of the Canadian Rockies, as well as Mount Burgess and Mountain Wapta. EL lake was discovered in 1882 by Tom Wilson and his name comes from the amazing color of the water.
Iguazu Falls, Argentina and Brazil
Iguazu Falls is one of the most beautiful fall nature water. They are located on the Iguazu River on the border between Argentina province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Cataracts were chosen as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
They are made of 275 jumps. A show apart is its jump higher flow and higher called Devil's Throat which can be enjoyed in all its majesty from only 50 m, walking the catwalks that leave from Puerto Canoas, which can be reached using ecological service station. For this jump passes the border between the two countries. You can take boat rides under the waterfalls and hiking appreciating some animals semitropical jungle trails.
Ha long Bay
Ha long Bay is for many the most beautiful landscape of Vietnam, where the man was able to adapt to nature in a bay dotted with karst rock formations and islands. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994 and extended the declaration in 2000. It's also from the November 11, 2011 one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
According to local legend, long ago when the Vietnamese were fighting Chinese invaders, the Jade Emperor sent a family of dragons to help them heavenly defend their land. These dragons spat out jewels which became the islands and islets of the bay, coming together to form a great wall against the invaders, and thus they managed to sink enemy ships. After protecting their land formed the country known as Vietnam. Ha Long means descending dragon ', a name that comes from a local legend.
Lost City, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta -. Colombia
Lost City is one of the more than 250 ancient settlements of the four indigenous groups found in the north and south side of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the department of Magdalena in northern Colombia.
Buritaca was discovered in 1976 by a team of archaeologists from the Colombian Institute of Anthropology headed by Gilberto Cadavid and Luisa Fernanda Herrera and almost entirely restored.
Members of local tribes - the Arhuaco, the Kogi and Wiwa - have stated that they visited the site regularly before it was widely discovered, but had kept quiet about it. They call the Lost City Teyuna and believe that was the heart of a network of villages inhabited by their ancestors, the Tayrona. It is believed that it was probably the political and manufacturing center of the region on the banks of river Buritaca and may have housed 2,000 to 8,000 people. It was apparently abandoned during the Spanish conquest.
The site comprises a complex of buildings, paved roads, stairs and walls interconnected by a series of terraces and platforms on which the ceremonial centers, houses and food storage sites were built.
In 2007 the Lost City or (Teyuna) obtained 5 position as one of the 7 Wonders of Colombia, by a vote of more than 14,000 votes.
Tatacoa Desert, Villavieja - Colombia
The second largest arid zone of Colombia after the Guajira Peninsula, is one of the most attractive scenery in Colombia. The Desert Tatacoa has two characteristic colors: ocher in the area of Cuzco and gray in the Los Hoyos.
Valley of Sorrows, as it was called in 1538 the conqueror Jiménez de Quesada is not just a desert, but a tropical dry forest. As scientists reveal the Tatacoa during the Tertiary Period was a garden with many flowers and trees that gradually has been drying to become a desert.
Bonus:
It is for many, the closest earthly version of paradise. In the center of Bora Bora emerges an extinct volcano walled blue lagoons and beaches, a destination for the privileged. Located northwest of Tahiti.
The island is surrounded by motus, which are small elongated islands typically with some width and vegetation. One of the most beautiful and photographed Polynesian Motu Tapu is the motus.
