Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose, Texas
Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose, Texas
In the winter of 2017, the Two Tired Teachers visited Dinosaur Valley State Park, located just outside of Glen Rose Texas.
The visitor center in Dinosaur Valley State Park includes a small museum. The museum both gives information about the two main dinosaur tracks found in the park and replicas of the tracks you can see further in the park.
Some of the tracks were made by the Acrocanthosaurus which was a dinosaur about the size of a T.Rex. Others were made by the sauropods, sometimes informally called brontosaurs.
The camping area is small, boasting just 47 campsites. All of them are separated by trees. The Two Tired Teachers strongly recommend making reservations for this park since it is so small.
A beautiful paved trail runs from the campsites to the area where you go down to the tracks. It is around a half a mile. The trail appears to be ADA accessible; however, getting down to the tracks would be extremely difficult for a person in a wheelchair. If the tracks aren't visible due to heavy rains, a sign is posted at the visitors center.
Once you get down to the tracks, you'll find trails on both sides of the Paluxy River.
The Two Tired Teachers visited Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, which is outside the town of Glen Rose. It is a park you can drive through or they have tours in open jeeps.
The Two Tired Teachers also visited Big Rocks Park, a park of really big rocks. It's in town and the Paluxy River runs through it. Since people do swim at Big Rocks, loan life vests are in the park. This is a free attraction.
Other attractions in and around Glen Rose are fairly numerous. The Promise is a musical experience of the Life of Christ. Tickets for the show run from $30 - $45. Parking is an additional $10. Finally, a brown bag dinner is available for $10. It includes a sandwich, soft drink, chips, and a cookie.
The Creation Evidence Museum offers a Biblical perspective of creation. Cost for the museum is $6.
The Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant is also in Glen Rose. The Power Plant does have a visitors center. Tours are available to groups, but it's best to call ahead if you want a tour. The number is (254) 897-8500.

Dinosaur Sightings in Historical Times!
Carl Edward Baugh is the Founder and Director of the Creation Evidence Museum of Texas in Glen Rose. He is the scientific research director of the world's first hyperbaric biosphere, simulating Earth's atmospheric conditions before the world-wide flood of Noah's day. He is the discoverer and excavation director of sixteen dinosaurs, including Acrocanthosaurus in Texas and Diplodocus in Colorado.
In 1990 he was co-director of an expedition searching for the Ark on Mt. Ararat. After forty years of research in this area, he directed the construction of a 25-foot (1/20 scale) replica of the Ark now in the museum, and holds a U.S. Patent on the gopher wood process.
Carl Baugh lectures internationally on evidence for scientific creation on television and radio, and in schools, churches and various organizations. He stands firmly AGAINST the theory of evolution and FOR the Biblical account of creation.

Dinosaur Valley State Park Track Site 4 | Walking with Dinosaurs | Paluxy River Glen Rose Texas
Great video of track site 4 located in the Paluxy River inside Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose, Texas. The video was taken July 21st 2018. This area was hit with a number days around 108 degrees causing a drought that exposed numerous dinosaur tracks. Track site 4 is under water a lot of times. But during the late summer you can see some great tracks. These tracks were most likely made by Acrocanthosaurus a meet eater that resembles the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose, Tx - Family Fun!
DJ Fedora here, and for Memorial Day we decided to brave the hot Texas heat and go in search of DINOSAURS! My Fam and I went to the famous Dinosaur Valley State Park in the quaint little town of Glen Rose, Texas, that is also famous for the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, that allows you to drive around a Game Preserve and see MANY different species of wild animals, including giraffes, antelopes and tons of others, the controversial Creation Evidence Museum, which claims to have evidence that man walked along side the same dinosaurs that you see in Dinosaur Valley State Park, and The Promise, a yearly musical production of the life of Jesus Christ.
We had a lot of fun and that Fam went for a swim in the cool waters of the Paluxy River, while I tracked down the famous dinosaur tracks. Join us as we have a grand adventure in this beautiful Texas State Park!
