Le Creux du Van dans le Canton de Neuchâtel perdu dans le brouillard !
C'est une jolie promenade que l'on peut faire soit en partant depuis le restaurant du Soliat en un peu moins de 10-15 minutes. Une fois arrivé sur le cirque, il y a une vue à couper le souffle avec des falaises de plus de 150m.
Pour ceux qui souhaitent faire une randonnée plus longue, il également possible e partir de la gare CFF de Noiraigue (compter env. 2h00) ou de la Ferme Robert (compter 1h00).

Creux du Van - Un Grand Canyon en Suisse !
C'est probablement la curiosité géologique la plus saisissante de Suisse, de celles qu'il faut absolument voir dans sa vie. Le Creux du Van déploie majestueusement son cirque rocheux sur presque un kilomètre et demi de large. Du haut de ses falaises hautes de 200 m, celui que l'on surnomme le Grand Canyon suisse offre l'un des panoramas les plus spectaculaires du pays.

O Creux du Van, uma área naturalmente rochosa de enormes proporções, encontra-se localizada na fronteira dos cantões de Vaud e Neuchâtel. Impressionantes paredões rochosos de 160 metros de altura circundam a bacia de um vale, somando quatro quilômetros de comprimento por um de largura.
Le Creux du Van, une zone naturelle rocheuse de proportions énormes, est situé à la frontière des cantons de Vaud et de Neuchâtel. Impressionnant falaises rocheuses 160 mètres de haut entourent le bassin de la vallée, en ajoutant quatre kilomètres de long et un de large.

Creux du Van Switzerland canton of Neuchâtel
The Creux du Van is a natural rocky cirque approximately 1,400 metres wide and 150 metres deep, on the north side of Le Soliat.[1] It is located in the Val de Travers district, in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel. A very well known, amphitheatre-shaped natural attraction of the area, it is located at the heart of a nature reservation area of 15.5 km².
It was created by natural water erosion from a local glacier that was linked to the Rhone glacier, causing land slides of a semi-circular shape.
The summit area can be reached on foot or by car. A paved road from Saint-Aubin-Sauges (on Lake Neuchâtel) or Couvet (Val-de-Travers) climbs to la ferme du Soliat (1,382 m), which is located a few minutes walk away from the summit of the rocky cirque. Some hiking paths are indicated, via les petites Fauconnières.
Hiking in Switzerland: Creux du Van / Neuchatel
We went hiking to Le Creux du Van in the Canton of Neuchâtel. The hike’s duration is about 4.5 hours and more that 700 meters of difference in height.
The start point is Noiraigue, a little village in the Val-de-Travers.
After hiking up around 30min, you turn right and go to Les Oeillons. From there, you will go up and take 14 curves before arriving to the Creux-du-Vent.
The geological phenomenon is impressive, it has been created by the melt of Ice and water erosion.

Creux du Van, Switzerland
Located near the Swiss town of Neuchâtel, “The Creux du Van is a natural rocky amphitheatre-like valley formed by glacial erosion” (Wikipedia). The easiest way to get there is by heading to the Restaurant du Soliat located just five minutes from the rocky cliffs. Here is a link to the restaurant:
In this video we first tried to take an alternate trail to get to the top, but as a result of the snow conditions on the trail, we altered our course and headed straight to the Restaurant du Soliat. Still, there was to much snow for the cars to make it all the way, which is more a result of there being no snow plows then too much snow. None the less, the early spring walk was very enjoyable, with birds chirping and the sun shining.
In the video we have taken footage from three separate visits. Once when we visited in late summer, one from a fall sunrise, and the bulk of the footage is from our early spring hike that we depict in the video. I certainly recommend a visit for anyone in or around Neuchâtel. You should bring special gear to make it through the snow if you come in winter, and it may be advisable to wear hiking boots and to bring hiking poles regardless of the season. You don’t have to eat at the Restaurant (check the dates and hours before you plan too, or even make a reservation), we enjoy packing a lunch or making a larger hike out of the trip. Even if you go directly to the top with a car, you can still make a nice hike by following the rim around to the far other side. As is shown in the video, the edge can be dangerous, so please be mindful.

Creux du Van | Travelling Switzerland. A view you don't want to miss!
The Creux du Van has been on my bucket list since quite some time. Finally I managed to visit this place, only a 3 hours’ drive from my home. The view was breath-taking! It reminded me, that the things closest to you, often get left behind. As a result, I will explore and revisit some of my favourite places in Switzerland to share them with you. Creux du van - Wanderrunde im Schweizer Jura
Unsere Wandertour ist gleich die spektakulärste des ganzen Schweizer Jura - wir besuchen den gewaltigen Felskrater reux du van. Wir starten unsere Runde über dem Ort Noiraigue an der Ferme Robert am Grund des 400 Meter tiefen Kessels, wo wir auch schon einen ersten Blick auf die steilen Felswände des selbigen werfen können.
Wir nehmen den direkten Weg und folgen ab der Ferme Robert dem Kiessträsschen zur Fontaine Froide, wo eiskaltes Wasser aus dem Brunnen tröpfelt - am Woher dieser Kältequelle wird geforscht. Von hier ab nehmen wir den Sentier du Single, ein steiler, felsdurchsetzter Wurzelpfad. Abgesehen von der Stolpergefahr ist er ungefährlich. Von Zeit zu Zeit muss man stehenbleiben und einen Blick in den gigantischen Canyon werfen.
Schneller als man denkt ist man oben auf Krete, wo sich die Szenerie völlig ändert. Ein flaches Feuchtgebiet mit Wiesen voller Trollblumen und Anemonen liegt vor uns, dahinter eine schöne Juraweide. Wir haben hier noch einige kleine Altschneefelder. Unser Weg folgt nun dem Kraterrand mit sensationellen Tief- und Weitblicken. Auf der ganzen Länge gibt es immer wieder schöne Plätschen fürs Picknick. An der höchsten Stelle, beim Wegweiser Le Soliat, bleiben wir am Kraterrand; die Abzweigungen zur Ferme du Soliat befinden sich 10 und 15 Minuten weiter unten (das Gasthaus befindet sich 200 m links).
Zurück beim Kraterrand, beginnt der Abstieg im Wald, vorerst noch nahe am Abgrund durch den steilen Waldhang hinunter zurück
zur Ferme Robert.
Hier belohnen wir uns mit einem üppigen MIttagessen: Ich erfreue mich an Filet Mignon mit Morschelsauce, Schweizer Rösti und Salat für knapp 40 Euro.
Der Creux du Van ist ein Ausräumungskessel (französisch: cirque) im Schweizer Jura an der Grenze zwischen den Kantonen Neuenburg und Waadt.
Er ist etwa 1200 m breit und 500 m tief. Die Gesamtlänge der Felswände, die rund 160 m senkrecht abfallen, beträgt etwa 4 km. Das Gebiet liegt beim Mont Soliat auf 1200 bis 1450 m ü. M. und ist seit 1972 unter Schutz gestellt. Es gehört zum Bundesinventar der Landschaften und Naturdenkmäler von nationaler Bedeutung.
Der Kessel ist wahrscheinlich nach der Eiszeit durch Erosion entstanden. Der Boden ist mit Moränen- und Bergsturzmaterial bedeckt, auf dem Tannen und Buchen wachsen. In der Mitte unter dem oben unbewaldeten Teil des Kessels liegt die Quelle Fontaine Froide, deren Wasser das ganze Jahr über gleichmäßig 4 °C warm ist.
An den Felswänden leben Steinböcke und Gämsen. 1770 wurde im Gebiet des Creux-du-Van der letzte Bär erlegt. In den Jahren 1974 und 1975 wurde je ein Paar Luchse ausgesetzt. Bei den Luchsen handelte es sich um Wildfänge aus den slowakischen Karpaten.
Das geologisch und botanisch wertvolle Gebiet ist auch ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel, das zu Fuss am besten von Noiraigue zu erreichen ist. Mit dem Auto gelangt man via Couvet oder Saint-Aubin-Sauges zum Restaurant Ferme du Soliat am oberen Rand des Felskessels.
Am unbewaldeten oberen Rand des Kessels wurde eine ca 2 km lange Trockensteinmauer erbaut, die einen weniger ästhetischen Drahtgitterzaun ersetzte. Die Mauer wurde von einer internationalen Gruppe unentgeltlich erstellt und wird deshalb auch Mauer der Freundschaft genannt.

Creux Du Van - Hiking in Switzerland
We spent our 4th year Wedding Anniversary hiking at Creux Du Van with our best friends.
The hike itself should have taken 4.5 hours but due to many breaks, many selfies, many photos and a long (but very yummy) lunch break we were pretty much 9 hours on the trail.

Pour une question de meilleure diffusion, on m’a recommandé de faire un bon pâté pleins de mots sympas, décrivant ce qui me concerne, pour me référencer. Bien, alors c’est parti !
Début 2013, dépourvue de tout bagage sportif, je découvre un sport peu commun: la poledance (que j’aime appeler, polesport)
Difficile d'expliquer pourquoi, mais dès les premiers cours, je ressens une forte connexion avec mon corps. Bien sûr il souffre, mais tout au long du processus, une confiance intérieure m'accompagne. Grâce à elle, je n'ai pas peur de repousser mes limites. Je suis plus que motivée !Apprivoiser mon corps devient rapidement une obsession.
Pour la première fois, je réalise pleinement l'influence que je suis capable d'exercer sur mon physique. C'est donc tout naturellement que je me lance dans un tas d'autres disciplines émergeantes telles que le crossfit (force et cardio), l’acroyoga (confiance et partage), le yoga (équilibre et gainage), la contorsion (souplesse et méditation) et le cerceau aérien (grâce et douceur).
Quatre années s'écoulent, et je participe à ma toute première compétition. Avec mes copines Claire et Adelaide que nous remportons la deuxième place au PoleTheatre en semi-pro.
Trois mois plus tard, toujours en 2017, c'est avec fierté que je monte sur le podium et décroche une 3ème place aux championnats européens.
Tout au long de mes années de pratique, je partage ma passion sur Instagram. Grâce à ce réseau, j'échange avec des personnes incroyables, rencontre des photographes pétris de talent et m'offre l'opportunité d'étendre mes perspectives professionnelles.
Toujours prête à aider, je fais mon maximum pour rester joignable et me réjouis de répondre à vos questions. :)

Eine wunderschöne Schlucht durch das grüne Val de Travers, bekannt durch den Absinth, die grüne Fee und den Berg, der eigentlich keiner ist.
Die Wanderung dauert ca.6 Std. Sie kann aber in Champ de Moulin abgebrochen oder begonnen werden.
