As part of Bill Callaghan's series of historical films around Britain, he visited the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's (RNLI) station at Cromer on the Norfolk coast.

Cromer Lifeboat on Extended Service
Cromer lifeboat was launched shortly after 5.30 am on 13th January 2016 to go to the assistance of a coaster which had reported a fire on board. The vessel was about seven miles off Cromer; fire-fighters were on the way from Humberside by Coastguard helicopters. By mid-afternoon the fire teams had completed their work and the lifeboat was stood down, bring the fire-fighters back to the lifeboat station at Cromer. The lifeboat crew were at sea for 11 hours.

The Pyrin and Fernebo Rescues at Cromer
Former Cromer lifeboat coxswain Henry 'Shrimp' Davies recalls the epic rescue on Janaury 9th/10th January 1917 of the crews of the Greek vessel Pyrin and the Swedish vessel Fernebo. The clip is an extract from the DVD 'The Cromer Lifeboats', available from the lifeboat shops at Cromer or direct from poppyland.co.uk.

There is no mention of this item in the original paperwork for this issue. It is possible that it belongs to another issue.

Cromer LIfeboat launches to Remember
On 8th January 2017, as part of its Sunday morning exercise, Cromer lifeboat launched to remember the dramatic events of 9th-10th January one hundred years ago. On that day the rowing lifeboat Lousia Heartwell had already been rowed and sailed to save the crew of the Greek vessel Pyrin when the crew were called to assist the Swedish vessel Fernebo, blown in half by a mine. A wreth was laid to remember Private John Sharp, who died as a result of his exertions as part of a human chain in the breakers and Chief Engineer Johan Anderson, lost form the Fernebo.

Cromer Pier is a Grade II listed seaside pier in the civil parish of Cromer on the north coast of the English county of Norfolk, 25 miles (40 km) due north of the city of Norwich in the United Kingdom. The pier is the home of the Cromer Lifeboat Station and the Pavilion Theatre.
Cromer ( KROH-mər) is a coastal town and civil parish on the north coast of the English county of Norfolk. It is approximately 23 miles (37 km) north of the county city of Norwich, 116 miles (187 km) north-northeast of London and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Sheringham on the North Sea coastline.
The local government authority is North Norfolk District Council, whose headquarters is in Holt Road in the town. The civil parish has an area of 4.66 km2 (1.80 sq mi) and at the 2011 census had a population of 7,683.The town is notable as a traditional tourist resort and for the Cromer crab, which forms the major source of income for local fishermen. The motto Gem of the Norfolk Coast is highlighted on the town's road signs.

CROMER LIFEBOAT RETURNS FROM A SHOUT.
R.N.L.B. 'LESTER' launched on Service to assist a yacht in difficulties off Cromer, September 2017. The yacht was towed to Wells harbour, the the Cromer Tamar Class All Weather Lifeboat returned to it's Station on Cromer Pier in Norfolk, England and made ready again for Service. I received notification of the launch whilst at nearby West Runton then made my way on foot to Cromer Lifeboat Station to await their return.

Cromer Lifeboat is launched
The crew of Cromer Lifeboat launched their vessels. They were one of the off shore lifeboats which received a special recognition award at the EDP Stars of Norfolk and Waveney.

Cromer Lifeboats Busy
On the 12th July 2009 the Cromer lifeboats - RNLB Lester, Seahorse III & Y-207 were all involved in service launches.RNLB Lester launched at 08:17 Y-207 launched from the Tamar at 15:22 & the ILB launched at 19:21.
