We Tour The Crows Nest
Finally! I got my chance to look through the periscope in St. John's Harbour. I was treated to a great story about how the capture of this U-Boat yielded an Enigma Machine and the Code Books. Breaking this code and having a working machine changed the course of the war. michaelsphotographykitchener.com music by bensound.com

St. John's Enduro 2017 Course Preview (White Hills)
Today I take you through the course being used for the 2017 St. John's Enduro mountain bike race. It is held on the white hills trail network and consists of 5 stages:
Stage 1: Old Sam - OGXC
Stage 2: Outer Descent
Stage 3: Crow's Nest
Stage 4: Bird Flu - Long Way Around
Stage 5: Oceanside
It's a really fun course but I had trouble staying on my bike in the slippery conditions, but I hope you enjoyed the video! My apologies for all the jingling noise, I had my car keys in my pocket. Sorry for the lack of videos lately, Jenn and I have been swamped with school.

Crow's Nest
A dark yet humorous tale of existential despair. A lost swimmer climbs aboard a black boat and becomes a source of entertainment for seasoned crew members grown pathologically bored with the infinite.

Awesome hiking experiences in Gros Morne National Park for the whole family. Great testimonials and good humour from a family of hikers. All in HD!

The Memory Store: The Crow's Nest tells a whole bunch of stories...
Crow's Nest Officer's Club past president Gary Green explains the tradition of gun shield art and how each gun shield tells a story.
The Memory Store is part of the HFNL’s goal to foster a greater appreciation of historic places, by researching the stories and histories of historic places, and making those stories more accessible to the general public. This research includes short video interview clips with people about heritage buildings as well as background research and photography of the historic places.
The HFNL is working to document the architectural history and the associated narratives of Newfoundland’s historic places, in and around the St. John’s region. This research project will form part of a permanent collection with Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Digital Archives Initiative.
We will be featuring a selection of short stories about historic places in the province, in the form of short oral history interviews conducted with the people who care about those places. If you have a personal memory about a historic place in Newfoundland and Labrador, and want to add your voice to the Memory Store project, let us know at ich@heritagefoundation.ca

No matter what age you are THAT STORY REALLY GRIPS YOU, said writer and actor Andy Jones. If I’ve got a bunch of kids who may not be that interested, I start with that story and then I've always got them. Right away, it’s serious.”

Alberta is Beautiful
I have been living in Alberta for a little over a year now. During my time here I have collected tons and tons of videos and time lapses. So I decided to take everything I've done in the last year and put it together into one video.

An Afternoon With WWII Veteran & Businessman: Mr. Bob Innes (1921-2016) For The Tooton Documentary.
With Remembrance Day, November 11th, of this Canada’s 150th year, fast approaching, and it being a year since the passing of my friend, WWII Veteran and distinguished businessman: Mr. Bob Innes.. I dug deep into my archive and decided to share the full, unedited, on-camera interview I conducted with Mr. Innes while back at film school, for my Tooton Documentary Project. I share the contents of my afternoon chat, from St. John’s, Newfoundland, conducted with Mr. Innes to pay homage to all those valiant men and women, in uniform, who dedicate themselves to service. We must cherish their stories and celebrate their lives, for as Mr. Innes proved, they are forever consumed in service!
“Bob was well known in the community for his active involvement in business as founding president of the St. John’s Board of Trade, a Past President of the Rotary Club of St. John’s, first Chairman of the Port Authority of St. John’s, a Director of Canada Ports Corporation and Canadian Director of International Ports and Harbour’s Association.
Bob was equally well known as a talented musician. He collaborated with many musicians and was never too tired or too old to share his love of music. A veteran of World War Two, he was in charge of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps Railhead Depot in Botwood, Newfoundland. He was an honorary member of the Crow’s Nest and the Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club as well as a member of the St. Andrew’s Society and the Royal Commonwealth Society. Bob’s enthusiasm and warmth for life and people will be missed by all who knew him.”
