Miami Beach Florida 2019 - Travel video
According to the Köppen climate classification, MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA, SOUTH BEACH MIAMI, MIAMI BEACH, Miami Beach has a tropical climate, more specifically a tropical monsoon climate with hot humid summers and warm dry winters. The tropical rainy season runs from May through October, when showers and late day thunderstorms are common. The dry season is from November through April, when few showers, sunshine, and low humidity prevail. Other than the Florida Keys, Miami Beach has the warmest winter weather in the United States (mainland). The warm and sunny weather in Miami Beach and South Florida attracts millions of travelers from around the world from November through April. Sea surface temperatures range from 74 F in winter to 86 F in the spring/summer/fall months. Miami Beach has the warmest ocean surf in the United States mainland annually.
Miami Beach's location on the Atlantic Ocean, near its confluence with the Gulf of Mexico, make it extraordinarily vulnerable to hurricanes and tropical storms. Though direct strikes from hurricanes are rare (Miami has experienced only two direct hits from major hurricanes in recorded weather history – the 1926 Miami hurricane and Hurricane Cleo in 1964), the area has seen indirect contact from hurricanes Betsy (1965), Inez (1966), Andrew (1992), Irene (1999), Michelle (2001), Katrina (2005), Wilma (2005), and Irma (2017).

Miami Beach, Florida - Disney Magic Sails from PortMiami (2019)
Disney Magic is a cruise ship owned and operated by the Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. She has 11 public decks, can accommodate 2,700 passengers in 875 staterooms, and has a crew of approximately 950. The interior of Disney Magic is decorated in the Art Deco style, in contrast to her sister ship, Disney Wonder, which is decorated in the Art Nouveau style.
The ship has twenty bright yellow lifeboats which, along with the black, red, and white colors of the ship itself, match the colors of Mickey Mouse. This change from the standard safety orange took a waiver of international maritime rules. As with other Disney cruise ships, the ship's horn blast plays an excerpt from Disney's famous flagship tune, When You Wish upon a Star. Disney Magic's Godmother is Patricia Disney, former wife of Walt Disney's nephew, Roy E. Disney.

Miami visit a beautiful place in world usa
Miami is a major center and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade.[12][13] In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha− World City in the World Cities Study Group’s inventory.[14] In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked thirty-third among global cities.[15] In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami America's Cleanest City, for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets and city-wide recycling programs.[16] According to a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States, and the world's fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power.[17] Miami is nicknamed the Capital of Latin America,[1] is the second largest U.S. city with a Spanish-speaking majority,[18] and the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.[19]
Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies.[20][21] The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries. For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the Cruise Capital of the World, has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world. It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations, and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.[22][23]
Miami and its suburbs are located on a broad plain between the Florida Everglades to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east, which also extends from Florida Bay north to Lake Okeechobee. The elevation of the area never rises above 40 ft (12 m)[35] and averages at around 6 ft (1.8 m)[36] above mean sea level in most neighborhoods, especially near the coast. The highest undulations are found along the coastal Miami Rock Ridge, whose substrate underlies most of the eastern Miami metropolitan region. The main portion of the city lies on the shores of Biscayne Bay which contains several hundred natural and artificially created barrier islands, the largest of which contains Miami Beach and South Beach. The Gulf Stream, a warm ocean current, runs northward just 15 miles (24 km) off the coast, allowing the city's climate to stay warm and mild all year.
The surface bedrock under the Miami area is called Miami oolite or Miami limestone. This bedrock is covered by a thin layer of soil, and is no more than 50 feet (15 m) thick. Miami limestone formed as the result of the drastic changes in sea level associated with recent glaciations or ice ages. Beginning some 130,000 years ago the Sangamonian Stage raised sea levels to approximately 25 feet (8 m) above the current level. All of southern Florida was covered by a shallow sea. Several parallel lines of reef formed along the edge of the submerged Florida plateau, stretching from the present Miami area to what is now the Dry Tortugas. The area behind this reef line was in effect a large lagoon, and the Miami limestone formed throughout the area from the deposition of oolites and the shells of bryozoans. Starting about 100,000 years ago the Wisconsin glaciation began lowering sea levels, exposing the floor of the lagoon. By 15,000 years ago, the sea level had dropped to 300 to 350 feet (90 to 110 m) below the contemporary level. The sea level rose quickly after that, stabilizing at the current level about 4000 years ago, leaving the mainland of South Florida just above sea level.
Beneath the plain lies the Biscayne Aquifer,[38] a natural underground source of fresh water that extends from southern Palm Beach County to Florida Bay, with its highest point peaking around the cities of Miami Springs and Hialeah. Most of the Miami metropolitan area obtains its drinking water from this aquifer. As a result of the aquifer, it is not possible to dig more than 15 to 20 ft (5 to 6 m) beneath the city without hitting water, which impedes underground construction. For this reason, the mass transit systems in and around Miami are elevated or at-grade.
Most of the western fringes of the city extend into the Everglades, a subtropical marshland located in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Florida. Alligators have ventured into Miami communities and on major highways.
In terms of land area, Miami is one of the smallest major cities in the United States. According to the US Census Bureau, the city encompasses a total area of 55.27 sq mi (143.1 km2). Of that area, 35.67 sq mi (92.4 km2) is land and 19.59 sq mi (50.7 km2) is water. That means Miami comprises over 400,000 people in 35 square miles (91 km2), making it one of the most densely populated cities in the United States, along with New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

I Love Brickell City Centre in Downtown Miami Florida : Ep.03
Lots of cool things planned for the next few months
So, I was able to get approval to work remote with my company and I decided to spend a few months in South Florida, a place I have wanted to explore more in depth. I had planned a fishing trip with some friends in the keys and my pop and I were also taking a Caribbean cruise. It didn’t make sense to book two round trip flights from Salt Lake City so I just stayed in a few airbnb rentals between trips. This also gave me plenty of weekend time to explore more of downtown Miami.
Arriving in Miami Florida for the first time and car rental fiasco
After traveling all day from Salt Lake City to Miami Florida I grabbed my bags and headed for the rental car terminal. Yes, you heard that right! The Miami Airport is so big they have a separate terminal for rental cars. I had booked a car on Expedia 6 months earlier and thought everything was fine. Well, come to find out the rental car company was now out-of-business and Expedia did not inform me. ;( So I jumped on Expedia and found another company and booked it. Fifteen minutes later a guy in a dirty white t shirt pulls up in an old car and takes me to this back alley rental car company. After haggling for 3 hours to get the rate I was quoted, I finally cancelled that reservation and had them take me back to the airport rental car terminal. From there I found Alamo had some good rates and within 10 minutes I had my rental car. Thank you Alamo. I also had already prepaid $100 for the previous rental car and Expedia would not refund my money. It took a credit card charge dispute to finally get the refund. Not good Expedia. Vet your vendors better.
The Brickell City Centre is impressive
Next, I took a short drive to the Apple store in downtown Miami at Brickell City Centre. Brickell is a beautiful area that is going through some redevelopment and it’s turning out really nice. I was blown away with how cool the Brickell City Centre was. Very modern and artistic. A nice contrast to the antiquated shopping malls of the 80s. I found the apple store and purchased a hard drive to store all the video content I would be capturing over the next few months. Then proceeded to explore the shopping center. I was impressed with all the high-end stores here. Attached to the Brickell City Centre is the upscale hotel east. I highly recommend a trip to see the skyline at the rooftop bar sugar.

Miami has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises. Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies.
The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.
For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the Cruise Capital of the World, has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world.
It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations, and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.
Metropolitan Miami is a major tourism hub in the American South for international visitors, ranking number two in the U.S. after New York City
Miami and its suburbs are located on a broad plain between the Florida Everglades to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east, which also extends from Florida Bay north to Lake Okeechobee.
Miami is partitioned into many different sections, roughly into North, South, West and Downtown. The heart of the city is Downtown Miami and is technically on the eastern side of the city. This area includes Brickell, Virginia Key, Watson Island, and PortMiami.
Downtown is South Florida's central business district, and Florida's largest and most influential central business district. Downtown has the largest concentration of international banks in the U.S. along Brickell Avenue.
Downtown is home to many major banks, courthouses, financial headquarters, cultural and tourist attractions, schools, parks and a large residential population.
East of Downtown, across Biscayne Bay is South Beach. Just northwest of Downtown, is the Civic Center, which is Miami's center for hospitals, research institutes and biotechnology with hospitals such as Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami VA Hospital, and the University of Miami's Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
The southern side of Miami includes Coral Way, The Roads and Coconut Grove. Coral Way is a historic residential neighborhood built in 1922 connecting Downtown with Coral Gables, and is home to many old homes and tree-lined streets.
