Vietnam Vlog: Hanoi & Ha Long Bay - Asia Trip
Continuing with the Asia vlogs, after Hong Kong we visited Vietnam for the first time.
Visiting Ha Long Bay in particular was pretty interesting and surreal, but I also got rained on more than I ever had before.
Still, it was an interesting location and we were both really shocked by the sheer amount of motorcycles in the country.
I hope you enjoy this video, and the final few coming soon.

Hanoi Food Tour Ep.1: Day Tour
Hanoi’s gastronomy is famous worldwide. Hanoi does not stop with just Pho. It goes beyond the humble bowl of Pho to the combination of the young generation in cosmopolitan life’s taste that has opened the door for a new level of Vietnamese cuisine. Hanoi Food Tour customized by Paradise Travel will drive you to the most authentic local experience of the local foods in Hanoi.
Let’s see what you’re gonna try in this Food Tour!
There 2 types of food tours
1. Day tour
Pho
This is the most well-known dish in Vietnamese cuisine and widely eaten across the country with slight variances. This noodle soup is made with herbs, vermicelli rice noodles, either beef or chicken, and mix with a rich tasty soup.
Banh cuon ( Vietnamese steamed rice roll)
By itself, Banh cuon is super thin and delicate sheets of steamed fermented rice batter. Flavor and texture come from a filling of seasoned ground pork, minced mushrooms, and shallots. The rice noodle roll is served with a separate bowl of clear amber dipping sauce which is essentially fish sauce.
Xoi (sticky rice)
“Xoi xeo” which is the combination of glutinous rice, turmeric powder, mung bean, shallot, and some liquid fat, is known as the hardest-to-cook sticky rice. The turmeric powder, mixed with water and glutinous rice, will create the natural yellow for the dish
Bánh mì (Vietnamese baguette)
Banh mi, which is a popular street food in Vietnam, is a perfect combination of meat, vegetable, butter, one or two tablespoon of meat sauce, and chili sauce. It is so well-known that it has been officially listed in the English Dictionary of Oxford in 2011 and the American Heritage Dictionary in 2014.
Bún thang
Traditionally, to make Bún Thang it takes no less than twenty ingredients, each of which has its own specification. The main ingredients are: rice vermicelli – white and in small strings, scrambled eggs – very thin and sliced evenly, chicken – tender and shredded with skin, “giò” (Vietnamese ham), dried shrimps, shiitake mushrooms,…
Egg coffee
This seems the most curious drink that makes tourists as well as locals want to try. The beverage is made from egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, condensed milk and cheese and is brewed in a small cup with a filter before the addition of a well-whisked mixture of the yolk and other ingredients`
2. Night tour: Find out here:
