Visit the Louisiana State Park at Cypremort Point and fish, crab, swim, boat or whatever. Only 45 miles from Lafayette, this is one of the few State parks on the coast which can be accessed by a road.
Chicot State Park tour
Located about midway between Alexandria and Lafayette, Louisiana off of La 1173, Chicot State Park is a great place to spend some quality family fun. This wildlife reserve consists of 6400 acres of hilly forests and low swampy areas ready to explore and view different species of wildlife. We love to visit this park often due to close distance to our home, but we experience new things every time we visit. Chicot State Park is one of the older state parks in Louisiana and was added to the park system in 1939. This is a very well kept, updated park that continues to exceed our expectations and provides awesome adventures. Join us in exploring Chicot State Park.
Sam Houston Jones State Park, Louisiana
Had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Sam Houston Jones State Park, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Large paved lots with plenty of shade. A very nice park and we will definitely stay there again. If you like water and nature you will love this Park. Met a heck of a nice guy named Chris who is traveling the country on is Harley and towing his camping gear with him. He even bought one of my All American hand made pipes from me, so we definitely had to set back and enjoy a good smoke at the camp site. Had a nice stay at Chicot State Park, Ville Platte, Louisiana. Lots of water and beautiful board walks for fishing. Lots off large camping spots with plenty of room, one we will definitely stay at again.

Here in the Louisiana coastal area we have several beaches that can be used for many activities, as well as a campground. Join us in visiting two different beaches in Louisiana in one day; Holly Beach and Rutherford Beach. Oh yeah, and be sure to watch out for the ferocious dogs we ran into along the way.

Grand Ecore RV Park - Grand Opening
Ecore is French for bluff, which is what our beautiful location is known for. Near our RV Park is our large, 80-foot high bluff that towers over the Red River.
Our RV Park is located next to the Grand Ecore Recreation Area, which opened in 2004. Since we are located on Bayou Pierre, there is plenty to see from either the shore or on your boat.

In today's fun family daily vlog is an adventure day! Our family is on a USA road trip from Nashville, TN to Hattiesburg, MS. Our son woke up now feeling well. Our family was hoping to make it to Slidell, LA, but we didn't get that far on our road trip in the USA. My wife and I talked about our Airstream dreams a little. We had to stop to get some gas and then we continued on the road trip until our family needed to get some lunch in Tuscaloosa, AL at Chick-fil-a. After lunch, we continued our adventure day and road tripped some more until we made it to the La Quinta hotel in Hattiesburg, MS. I tested my daughter to see if she could find out hotel room. For our family dinner tonight, our family ate Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurant in the La Quinta hotel lobby. Today's adventure was a road trip traveling day, so we went to bed early so that our family could finish our road trip adventure back to Louisiana.
