Support the Italian LGBT+ community in their ongoing struggle for full equality!
Concurrently with a demonstration planned in Rome, we will gather in Trafalgar Square, in front of the National Gallery, to demand marriage equality, equal rights for same sex couples’ children, and same-sex adoption.
The Italian Parliament is about to approve a bill that introduces same-sex civil unions. While ending a human rights violation, the bill clearly keeps a distinction between same-sex unions and heterosexual marriages, reserving the status of family to the latter. The bill has also been stripped of its “stepchild provision”, which would have allowed the non-biological parent to adopt their same-sex partner’s child. This will preserve the existing discrimination against children of same-sex couples.
We want to send a message to the LGBT+ people of Italy: don’t content yourselves with what has been gained; don’t despair over the lost opportunity. Keep up with the fight, right to the end: full equality for all LGBT+ people!

Django Reinhardt: Three-Fingered Lightning
Uniquely, Django Reinhardt fits several simultaneous archetypes. He is the streetwise kid turned celebrity. He is the miraculous surivor of an accident who went on to overcome his handicap. He is the illiterate who used musical notes as a universal language. He is the whimsical musician who defied every setback. Django was already a legend in his own lifetime, and this film tells of the life and times of a genius to whom death came too early. Yet another, final archetype. But above all it allows us to discover the dazzling talent of one of the greatest jazz guitarists of the twentieth century. Recorded in Paris and Île-de-France, 2010.
Written and directed by Christian Cascio.

Stuff we use:
CAMERA - This is the camera we have used to film 90+% of our interviews (over 200 interviews and counting) It continues to be our workhorse -
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 -
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought -
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times -
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 -
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution -

Stories Through Sets
Rick Romer received an M.F.A. degree from the University of Hawaii specializing in Lighting and Set Design for the Theatre. During his 8 years as the resident designer at Diamond Head Theatre, he began an association with the art departments on the original Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum, P.I., often creating specific set pieces or props for the show such as 3 versions of Higgins' Bridge on the Rive Kwai model or a crashed jet tail section for a rice paddy in Viet Nam. Rick was hired as the assistant to the Set Decorator on the 4th season of Magnum, P.I. and soon became the Set Decorator and becoming the first local department head on a national, top 10 TV show paving the way for others to head other departments as well. Rick's work continued on every major television show shot in Hawaii for the next 20 years including Jake and the Fatman (which led to working in Hollywood for 2 years), Baywatch Hawaii, LOST and the Pilot and first 12 episodes of Hawaii Five-0. Eventually Hawaii-filmed portions of films, local and international commercials, and other event and display design design work resulted like the opening of the Hawaii Convention Center. Eventually Rick began moving out of Set Decorating and into Art Direction and Production Design which encompasses the entire creative look of the project. Last year he became the first Hawaii resident to be voted into the Art Director's Guild in Hollywood. His work now encompasses any design aspect from set decorating to production design within the art department such as Tim Burton's Big Eyes and Oliver Stone's Ed Snowden. His most recent work was the Art Direction for Supercuts national ad campaign.

The Wall Tour was a concert tour 1980–1981 in support of their concept album The Wall.
The tour was relatively small compared to previous tours for a major release, with only 31 shows in total. The tour was notable for its extensive use of stage theatrics, most notably a giant wall constructed across the stage to convey the sense of alienation present in both the album, and Roger Waters' personal feelings at the time.

Aegean Airlines A320/A321 SPECIAL! HEATHROW AIRPORT PLANE SPOTTING
Aviaiton aficionados will remember the legend that was Olympic Airways, sadly the days of Olympic Boeing 747's and A340's making regular appearances at Heathrow are long gone. However, Greece is still well represented with Aegean Airlines filling the gap left by the legend and who knows, maybe one day we will see a return of the rings.... Reviewing this footage made me aware of just how large a presence bmi British Midland had at Heathrow.

The Sound of Music is a 1965 American musical drama film produced and directed by Robert Wise, and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, with Richard Haydn and Eleanor Parker. The film was released on March 2, 1965 in the United States, initially as a limited roadshow theatrical release. Although critical response to the film was widely mixed, the film was a major commercial success, becoming the number one box office movie after four weeks, and the highest-grossing film of 1965. By November 1966, The Sound of Music had become the highest-grossing film of all-time—surpassing Gone with the Wind—and held that distinction for five years. The film was just as popular throughout the world, breaking previous box-office records in twenty-nine countries. Following an initial theatrical release that lasted four and a half years, and two successful re-releases, the film sold 283 million admissions worldwide and earned a total worldwide gross of $286,000,000.
The Sound of Music received five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The film also received two Golden Globe Awards, for Best Motion Picture and Best Actress, the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, and the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Written American Musical. In 1998, the American Film Institute (AFI) listed The Sound of Music as the fifty-fifth greatest American movie of all time, and the fourth greatest movie musical. In 2001, the United States Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry, finding it culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”. - Wikipedia
Hollywood never understood the reason for the success of the movie that rates #3 for all-time attendance based on number of viewers. Many of the critics disliked the movie but America & the world recognized beautiful scenery with a romance that was fantastic for the entire family to enjoy!!!

Nox Plays... Cities: Skylines: Green Cities (Let's Play) | #21: Noxdo, aka Silicon Valley
Oh no! There's another death wave upon us! Fortunately, it doesn't seem to last too long - either that, or we have enough cemeteries and crematoriums to take care of the problem. With that out of the way, our unemployment rate skyrockets once again, so we continue expanding our residential areas. Naturally, more residential areas require more industrial, so we begin work on our second and final IT Cluster. We also hook the Central Park neighbourhood into our public transit, in hopes that traffic will once again clear up. Perhaps now is as good a time as any to introduce the monorail (which, yes, I have been putting off since the first few episodes).
