Cubus Kunsthalle - Sonderfuehrung am 29.06.2014 durch die Dali Ausstellung
Noch bis zum 24.08.2014 sind - wie bereits berichtet - in der Cubus Kunsthalle im Kantpark Duisburg Druckgrafiken, Lithografien, Farb-Holzschnitte und Collagen des Künstlers Salvador Dali zu sehen. Sämtliche Werke stammen aus der Sammlung von Heinz Ess, der auch ein ausgewiesener Experte der Arbeiten Dalis ist und u.a. einen grossen Teil seiner Sammlung im Dali-Haus am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin präsentiert.
Für die Ausstellung in der Cubus-Kunsthalle wurde eine ganz spezielle, eigene Auswahl von Arbeiten Salvador Dalis ausgewählt, die in dieser Form bisher einmalig präsentiert werden.
Führung durch die Dali Ausstellung mit dem Sammler Heinz Ess
Am kommenden Sonntag, 29.06.2014 bietet sich Kunstfreunden die Gelegenheit an einer Führung durch die Ausstellung mit dem Sammler Heinz Ess teilzunehmen, die um 15:00 Uhr beginnt. Diese kann man nur wärmstens ans Herz legen, denn das Wissen des ehemaligen Landarztes zu Dali, den er auch bei einigen Veranstaltungen persönlich getroffen hatte, ist beeindruckend und die Art, wie er es vermittelt, ist absolut faszinierend und unterhaltend zugleich. Eine Führung, die man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte.
Machen Sie mit uns -gewissermassen als Appetizer- noch einmal einen Vorab-Rundgang durch die Präsentation.

Das Museum Rietberg präsentiert die weltweit erste kulturvergleichende Ausstellung zum Thema Mystik.
Das schwer fassbare religiöse Phänomen wird anhand von vierzig Mystikerinnen und Mystikern veranschaulicht: Ihr Leben und ihre Schriften zeigen beispielhaft, wie reich und vielfältig ihre spirituellen Erfahrungen waren. Die ausgewählten Mystiker stammen aus den grossen Weltreligionen - Christentum, Hinduismus, Buddhismus, Daoismus, Islam und Judentum - und decken einen Zeitraum von über 2000 Jahren ab.
150 Kunstwerke und Originaldokumente sowie über 30 multimediale Installationen und Visualisierungen erläutern die Welt der Mystik: eine Welt spiritueller Erfahrungen und Geheimnisse.

International in scope and diverse in artistic output, both Dada and Surrealism were artistic, literary and intellectual movements of the early 20th century that were instrumental in defining Modernism. The Dada movement, launched in 1916 in Zurich by poets and artists such as Tristan Tzara and Hans Arp, was a direct reaction to the slaughter, propaganda and inanity of World War I.
After the war, many of the artists who had participated in the Dada movement began to practice in a Surrealist mode. Surrealism was officially inaugurated in 1924 when the writer André Breton published the Manifesto of Surrealism. Similar to Dada, Surrealism was characterized by a profound disillusionment with and condemnation of the Western emphasis on logic and reason.
