FREE Walking Tour Da Nang Vietnam - NZ Vlogging Couple Explore Danang
Just landed in Da Nang Vietnam? Then you definitely want to chek this out! This great initiative has local university students taking you for a walk around some of the well know land marks in Danang, sharing both historical and personal experiences along the way and it is all in English. Did we mention it is a free tour ! (If you enjoy the tour, then you have an opportunity at the end to leave a tip).
We did the morning walking tour and it was a great way to start the day. Our guides were fantastic, full of information and so enthusiastic.Because we are living in Danang Vietnam for the next 3 months, we took the opportunity to ask as many questions about life here as we could and the girls were so eager to engage in conversation and help us as much as they could.
If you are looking for, or thinking about doing a free walking tour in Vietnam, make it this one.
We tell you even more about the experience in our blog,
Here is the link to the Da Nang free walking tour website for more information and to book your place in a tour -

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure, as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam.
But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between. So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..
72 HOURS IN DA NANG | THINGS TO DO | VIETNAM VLOG #015
72 hours in Da Nang, Vietnam. Vietnam Vlog #15
We recently spent three days in Da Nang and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. This vlog covers everything that we saw, ate and did during our time there. So sit back - its a long one! And enjoy!
To start off with we checked in at our accommodation, we stayed at Christina's Hostel, which we actually found on AirBnB, you don't have to book like this, I think you can also just call or simply pitch up, they usually do have some rooms or bunks available.
The area called My An has so many cool restaurants and cafe's, if you do visit Da Nang, we highly recommend you make an effort to stay in or around this area. We ate some really good food here and it was dirt cheap too. The beach is a short walk away and it's amazing!
We used Mango Bike hire and had no issues with them, they are also really cheap and the bike seemed to handle all we threw at it for the 3 days!
As you saw, we took a bike ride up to Hai Van Pass, it's a stunning ride and we highly recommend this too. There are places to stop and get drinks but they don't have much to eat so we would recommend you take some food along with you.
Getting a massage is something we would definitely recommend you do, they are so good! We used the Silk Spa in the street of our hostel so check them out! It was a magically relaxing experience.
Other suggestions for you time in Da Nang include a short bike trip down to the ancient town of Hoi An as well as up to Ba Na Hills to see the hand bridge. Be willing to pay up to 700 000VND ($32) on entrance in to the Sunworld theme park, which includes a gondola ride up the mountain.
As always, if you have any questions please feel free to leave them in the comments below and we'll get back to you. If you have no questions, still leave a comment just to say hello:)
We look forward to seeing you in the next video!

FREE Danang Vietnam Street Art - Da Nang Fresco Village - NZ Vlogging Couple
Are you a fan of street art or just want to see some really cool murals? Then you definitely want to head down to the Da Nang Fresco Village!
We were keen to see the Da Nang street art, so we went and checked out the awesome new initiative called the Da Nang Fresco Village, the first week it opened and we love it!
They have taken a selection of laneways and dressed them up with amazing street art murals/fresco's on the walls and buildings. In amongst the art, some of the locals are opening up small businesses such as cafes and craft stores, which is only going to add to the atmosphere here.
Please, if you think others will enjoy this video or find it useful, feel free to use the share buttons and make their day. Plus, we'll love ya for it :)

Best things to do in Da nang Vietnam 2020 Vietnam travel guide
Complete Guide about Da Nang Vietnam. In depth for da nang things to do.
Popular Vietnam tourism places to Visit, Da nang Hotels, and Da Nang restaurant. Lets go!
I start my trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang city
Time to Visit Da Nang City
Weather is about the same around 30-35 degree. The best time to visit Da Nang Beach is from January to April when it is not extremely hot and not raining. During this time Da Nang weather should be sunny and around 30 degree which a lots better than 35.
Trip details for Hoi an vlog 2019 day 1
- 3:00 PM I got back to Da Nang City from Hoi An. Again I booked the taxi service online for $10 which is cheaper than normal taxi and grab (~$20)
- I got some issue with my Da Nang Hotel booking on booking.com app. But my driver helped me to get to where I needed to go.
- 4:30 PM I got to royal hotel in Da Nang for very good price on Agoda app $30
- 5:00 PM: I walked around the My Khe Beach as it is known for one of the most beautiful Da Nang Beach. Although very crownded. And personally, I found much better beaches around Da Nang that will be shown in the next videos
- 7:00 PM: I visited a Da Nang restaurant “Mau restaurant” for My Quảng which is a specialty of Da Nang City. Food was affordable $1.5. I also rented a motorbike for $8 a day from the hotel I stayed
- 8:30 PM: Since this is Sunday night, there is a dragon bridge spliting fire and water that you probably have seen in many Da Nang travel blog post.
- Tips for you is that you want to stay on the left side of the bridge when you looking directly at the dragon head to avoid getting wet because wind will be blowing water to the right side
- 9:30 PM: I visited the da nang night market to experience what is da nang nightlife is all about. Very fun city
Total cost: $50

Helio Night Markets Da Nang Vietnam - Travel in Vietnam - NZ Vlogging Couple
We accidentally stumbled across the Helio night markets and what we saw, looked like it could've been the best street food in Vietnam we have seen yet!
Living in Danang Vietnam we have a local night market that runs every night and we believe that is the best street food market in Da Nang for both Vietnamese street food and foreign dishes, but because of the large range of food on offer here, we will definitely be adding the Helio night markets to our weekend list of Where to eat in Da Nang.
These markets are a weekend only event and are outside the front of the Helio Centre, on the corner of the road that leads to the entrance of Sun World Da Nang Wonders theme park.

Da Nang Vietnam Museum of War - NZ Vlogging Couple Travel in Vietnam
We stumbled across a military museum in the Da Nang city centre and decided to check it out. So glad we did!
It had it's fair share of stuff about the Vietnam war, or the American war as they call it here, but that wasn't all they covered. There were displays on Vietnam's current battles with China, over the fishing of it's oceans and ownership of some islands and exhibits going right back to to the first battles with French colonists.
It certainly has it's elements of propaganda, just like any Vietnam museum of war, but go for the visual displays and take what is read with a pinch of salt and you'll be entertained.
As well as the military museum, there is a building that houses info and memorabilia of Ho Chi Minh the man, as well as a life size replica of his famous house.
If you find yourself in Da Nang with some time to spare, go check it out.

DA NANG VIETNAM TRAVEL
What an awesome day in Da Nang Vietnam Travel!! I flew from Hong Kong to Da Nang, Vietnam on Dragonair which is owned by Cathay Pacific and had an incredible Da Nang Vietnam Tour. The day was filled with new friends, great food and surreal sights and even went over the dragon bridge Da Nang Vietnam, good times! The Da Nang food is some of the best I've had, we had lots of street food and didnt see any beaches but spent most of our time in Da Nang city.
I LOVE Da Nang VIETNAM and so happy to return; I spent two months there in 2010 and it was one of the highlights of my 5.5+ year trip so far.

Dynamic Danang The most worth living city in Vietnam
No place is better than living and traveling to like Danang City, it is a gem of Vietnam
Sunworld Da Nang - Theme Park in Vietnam, NZ Vlogging Couple Explore
Adventure rides, arcade games, a huge ball pit, the 10th largest ferris wheel in the world and Vietnam's only monorail, all for less than US$9 each.......We had an awesome time!
This place is fantastic. It only opens at 3pm during the week and when we went there was almost no one else there. The only time we had to queue for a ride was when we had to wait for more riders so we had the minimum required, haha. Sunworld Da nang is definitely a theme park in Vietnam worth checking out.
And don't forget, if you think someone else will enjoy this video too or find it useful, be sure to share, because you'll make their day and ours ????

Backpacking Pt. 5: Danang!
Danang has some of the best beaches in the world. Unfortunately for us, it rained the whole time we were there. Fortunately for you, we captured some stellar footage of us getting hailed on while mopeding across a suspension bridge. Also included: rare footage of 5 people on a moped!!!!!
Why You Should Visit DA NANG, Not HOI AN | Vietnam's Hidden Gem
Hoi An Vietnam is a very busy, overcrowded tourist trap. But just 30km away is Vietnam’s best hidden gem. A city that is far less visited and far more fun. This is why you should visit DA NANG not Hoi An!
In this travel guide, I will cover all of the best things to do in Da Nang: the best day trips, the Son Tra Peninsula, the ruins of My Son Sanctuary, Marble Mountain, My An district, the Dragon Bridge and My Khe beach and the best beach in Da Nang.

EVERYTHING FEATURED IN THIS GUIDE:
0:42 - Hoi An in the morning
This is the best time to see Hoi An without crowds. Travel and Leisure magazine voted Hoi An as the best city in the world for 2019 - and this is when you can see why. The only thing you won’t see its famous magic lantern displays.
1:25 - Overtourism in Hoi An
Whilst it was once a charming Old Town, Hoi An’s historic streets are now being destroyed by the crowds of mass tourism. In places it now resembles a theme park.
3:23 - Best Things to Do in Da Nang Vietnam: Travel Guide
All the information on Da Nang starts here!
4:30 - My Khe Beach, Da Nang
5km of beautiful beach on the seafront of the city, right in front of My An. For me, this is a better tourist beach than An Bang beach in Hoi An - and the best beach in Da Nang.
4:57 - Son Tra Da Nang Vietnam (aka Monkey Mountain)
The best Da Nang motorcycle route and my favourite thing to do in the city. Home to the biggest buddha statue in Vietnam, an 800 year old Banyan, amazing viewpoints and the best hidden beaches.
7:53 - Marble Mountain Da Nang Vietnam
A cluster of five marble and limestone hills with temples and viewpoints. Busy, but good fun.
8:33 - My Son Da Nang Vietnam
Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples in Vietnam. Like a smaller version of Cambodia’s Angkor Was temples.
8:42 - My An Da Nang
Da Nang’s coolest neighbourhood, popular with digital nomads and expats for great coffee shops, restaurants and rooftop bars.
9:55 - Dragon Bridge Da Nang Vietnam
A bridge over the River Hàn in the shape of a dragon. It blows fire from it’s head on weekends (seriously)!
