Daves Falls, Amberg, Wisconsin
If you're driving through the Wisconsin's waterfall capital, Marinette County, you need to stop at Dave's Falls. A small roadside county park in Amberg, WI. It's a short walk from the parking lot, so it's an easy hike. The falls are basically a narrow rapid that flows between two rock faces. If I get back in the area, I plan on re-visiting the falls along with the many others in the area. Be prepared to drive on a a lot of dirt roads.

After reading many stories about how Marinette County in northern Wisconsin has the best waterfalls in the state, we decided to go visit Long Slide Falls just outside of Pembine, WI about 20 miles from where I live.
Just a short drive from Morgan Park, this waterfall is just a few hundred yards from the parking lot. Take your choice to either go below or stay up high, frankly I think the lower spot is nicer if its a hot day because the cool river mist cools the air all around it..

Smalley Falls, Marinette County, Wisconsin
During the heat and humidity in the Summer of 2011, I decided to head to Marinette County to record as many of the waterfalls as I could in a two day time frame. My first waterfall stop was Smalley Falls. I had read that it's a small, nice waterfall, but in my opinion, one of the better ones in the county.

Copper Falls State Park, Doughboy Trail - Mellen, Wisconsin
Copper Falls State Park is named after the 30 foot falls on the Bad River. The 2,400 acre park has a number of waterfalls along the 8 miles of river in the Bad River Gorge. There are about 23 miles of hiking, biking, and skiing trails within the park. The 8 miles of hiking trails include a segment of the North Country Trail. This video covers the 1.7 mile Doughboy Trail through the scenic heart of the park. Music by Maury Smith, Malignant Choir and Red Cliff Drummers.
