Equine Hospital Tour at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Center
Welcome to the recently expanded and renovated Equine Hospital at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Center. Each year, more than 1000 horses travel to Tennessee for medical treatment and rehabilitation.
Clients pull their trailers through the automated gates to a secure, covered paddock for unloading. The rubberized floor covering this area offers a high-traction non-slip surface even when wet for maximum patient safety. This provides access to the equine hospital and the Equine Performance and Rehabilitation Center. Patients are registered in the Client Receiving area just beyond the gate to the right.

The Good Corporal
From Tennessee songwriter Chris Floyd. Dedicated to Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, Daniel Ellsberg, Sibel Edmonds and all those who tell the hard truth to the state. For more music, see myspace.com/wheelofheaven. For politics and prose, see chris-floyd.com.
Lyrics
The Good Corporal
Good corporal, good corporal, now what have you done?
You've laid out the dead in the light of the sun.
You've opened the door where the dark deeds go on,
Where the fine words of freedom are broken like bones.
Good corporal, good corporal, you tell us of crime
Done in the name of your country and mine.
Of torture and murder, perversion and lies,
In a land where no echo will carry the cries.
Good corporal, good corporal, now who do we blame
For the horrors you bring us, for this undying shame?
Should we lay all the guilt on the grunts with no name,
Or the high and the mighty who set up this game?
Good corporal, good corporal, don't you know the fate
Of all those who speak the hard truth to the State
And all who disturb the people's sweet dreams?
They're mocked into scorn and torn apart at the seams.
Good corporal, good corporal, now what have you done?
You've laid out the dead in the light of the sun.

Chris Porter at Kentuck Festival
Alabama Music Office.com goes to Kentuck Park for Kentuck Festival in Northport, Alabama to attend a performance by Porter. Chris Porter is lead singer and guitarist.
Alabama-born singer-songwriter Chris Porter, a Pell City native who played in Birmingham music clubs for years as a front man for alternative country groups he founded including the Back Row Baptists and Some Dark Holler, died on Wednesday in an interstate highway accident.
He was one of the best songwriters I've ever heard in my life, said Sarah Green, who sang with him in the Back Row Baptists.
Porter and bandmates from his current group Porter and the Bluebonnet Rattlesnakes were involved in an accident mid-day Oct. 19 on Interstate 95 in North Carolina. Bandmate Mitchell Vandenburg was also killed, while another band member, Adam Nurre, was hospitalized.
We were looking through the wreckage, said his mother, Nancy Porter of Pell City. This was the most horrendous wreck I've ever seen. The frame is all that's there.
Porter and his two bandmates were stuck in traffic in their tour bus, a converted airport shuttle, Mrs. Porter said. The driver of an 18-wheeler plowed into the back of their tour bus full speed, she said.
The man's in jail for vehicular homicide, Mrs. Porter said. Chris was in a standstill with his bus. The 18-wheeler did not stop. It rammed into the back of the bus with such impact, it forced them into a produce truck.
Vandenburg was driving the tour bus and was killed instantly, as was Porter, who was sitting directly behind him, Mrs. Porter said. They had played in Charleston, she said. They were on their way to Baltimore.
Porter, 36, had moved to Austin about two years ago, said his former roommate, Jeremy Parker.
Porter and the Bluebonnet Rattlesnakes had played in Alabama on Oct. 13 at Callaghan's in Mobile, stayed with his parents in Pell City for several days, then played on Oct. 16 at the Kentuck Festival in Northport and at the Druid City Brewery in Tuscaloosa.
Porter graduated from Pell City High School and went to Jacksonville State University for about two years, where he broke in to club performing on open-mike night at Brother's Bar in Jacksonville, Parker said.

Ep. 510 Mississippi Melodies - Tennessee Valley Uncharted
Aerial heads down to Clarksdale, Mississippi, hoping to shine a spotlight on the innovators and artists that have impacted the music of America. Her first stop is the Devil’s Crossroads, where according to legend, musician Robert Johnson sold his soul in exchange for mastery of the guitar. A local sits with her at Hopson Commissary to give her the lowdown on the infamous tale, as well as other forgotten stories that surround the area. Then, it’s all music and dancing at the Deep Blues Festival. Aerial visits both the Ground Zero Blues Club and the New Roxy to talk to the owners of these remarkable venues about what blues music means to the city. Afterward, she stops into Deak’s Mississippi Saxophones and Blues Emporium, where she meets owner Deak Harp. Not only does she learn how he got into playing the harmonica and how he keeps the craft alive by offering repairs to the instrument, but she also gets to hear a performance! Next, Aerial relives her student days by visiting Quitman County Middle School, where she helps the manager of the TVA Science Kids World Water Monitoring Program collect samples for a lab that she then gets to participate in during class. There, she discovers why it’s important for kids to learn about their local water sources, and to get handson experience with scientific experiments. Before she concludes her trip to Mississippi, Aerial meets up with the owner of the Shack Up Inn, a collection of sharecropper shacks that are as historically prominent as they are comfortable.

Homeless German Shepherd cries like a human! I have never heard anything like this!!!
To celebrate Hope For Paws' 10th birthday, we are honored to be the first ones to introduce the NEW - DONATE BUTTON directly here on YouTube. On your mobile device it will be below the video, on your computer it will be to the right. Please join our team and
help us save many more lives.
Special thanks to our friends at LoveJoy foundation for fostering Rain and for handling her adoption:
Rain was scared and expressed it in a way that I have never heard in my life! Her cry was heartbreaking, and I am so happy that Carey Linnell called Hope For Paws and asked for help.
Her ears were eaten by flies, her coat was filthy, and I can't imagine what caused her to be so fearful.
Loreta Frankonyte was able to secure her, calm her down, and I initiated the first contact while Loreta was ready to pull her away from me if needed. Rain never did anything aggressive, she allowed me to touch her and along with Carey, we gained her trust and got her into the crate and from there to the hospital.
The next day, Loreta and I met our friend Allison Dunbar on a rescue of a dog named Monkey. After the rescue we headed to the hospital to clean him up, and at the hospital, Allison met Rain and fell in love!
A few days later, after a short recovery and a little bit of training with the Lovejoy Foundation, Allison, Kyle and Ernie came to visit Rain again, and the way to the adoption application was short :-)
Rain was renamed Sassy Pants Dunbar, and she just LOVES her new life!
We really need your help so we can save more lives, so if you enjoy our videos, please donate $5 and help us change the world of these animals.
Thank you so much!!!
Eldad

The 5th International Improv Festival Tilt. Nick Byrne (AUS) - “Inspired”
Viies rahvusvaheline improteatrite festival Tilt, 21-23.09.2017
Nick Byrne (AUS) - “Inspireeritud”
Nick Byrne on teist tõeliselt inspireeritud!

The Fifth International Improv Festival Tilt, 21-23.09.2017
Nick Byrne (AUS) - “Inspired”
Nick Byrne is genuinely inspired by you!
Artistic Director of Australia’s international festival of unscripted theatre “Improvention”, Nick interviews audience members on stage, and is inspired by what they say about themselves, to break into spontaneous songs, monologues, and solo theatre. An on-the-edge solo cabaret that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.
Based in Canberra, Australia, Nick has been a professional musician, actor, director, producer, and improviser, over decades, states, and continents.
The creator of dozens of unscripted show structures, some of which have been performed at improv festivals across the globe, his engaging interview technique has been generously reviewed, which led to the the idea of performing “Inspired”.
Now, he brings together the musical flexibility of his hit improvised band drama “Crescendo”, the empathetic authenticity of his analogy for refugee stories “The Displaced”, and the comic second-nature that brought him to unscripted theatre in the first place, and combines them in a variety-packed cabaret that you will both inspire, and be inspired by.

Vintage Television Commercials - 1980s - Part 1
This is a compilation of mostly national television ads that aired during the early and mid-1980s. They originate from off-the-air VHS recordings.
Some of these spots are masterpieces. They provide a glimpse into an era of TV broadcasting when the commercial breaks often were as interesting and well produced as the programs they interrupted.
