Kayak NJ American Mink on the Musconetcong River? 041316
Kayak NJ American Mink on the Musky?
Out for a morning paddle on my favorite section of the Musconetcong River-just above Saxon Falls. On my way back to the boat launch I was surprised to see the critter that I have seen several times before but have not gotten any good footage or pictures of. I believe it to be an American Mink but recently saw an article about Fisher Cats in NJ and the picture in the article of the Fisher Cat looks very similar to this critter. I've seen Fisher Cats when I lived in Vermont and they were larger than this critter I encountered on this day. As usual I did not expect to come-on this critter and my bow camera was off-of course. I was able to cobble together the footage I did manage to get and I think I got a pretty good representation of what I saw. What do you think it is? I would be interested to know what you think. Thanks for watching. Like my video and subscribe to my channel.
Bobcat Release in New Jersey
A New Jersey homeowner found this bobcat kitten in her garden last year, orphaned after his mother was hit by a car. Woodlands Wildlife Refuge gave him the best of care until today, when he was released into preserved habitat in Bobcat Alley, a conservation priority for TNC and partners like NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife. Protecting high quality, contiguous forests and fields in our heavily trafficked state is critical for bobcats and the other wildlife we all love!
Black River & Western 60: New Jersey's Steam Locomotive
In This Video we take you to New Jersey to the Black River & Western, to see its Operating Steam Locomotive, Former Great Western 60, from the West of Colorado. 60 is a Sister of Decopod GW 90, which operates at the Strasburg Railroad. Here you will see this to 2-8-0 Consolidation, pulling trains from Flemington to Ringoes, NJ. This time when I was there she was pulling Christmas trains and that I chased 60 down the Line. There was Great Photo Spots to film 60!
I film 60, at crossings such as Dayton Rd, Copper Hill Rd, Everitts Road, Toad Ln, and Ringoes, were the BR&W RR is based at. Then we see 60 Uncoupling cars, and switching tracks. 60 is Wearing a Custom made 6 Chime Whistle. I want to thank the Crew of 60 for a Wonderful Experience, it was fun!
Black River & Western 60- is a 2-8-0 Type Consolidation built in 1937, by Alco, and was used to haul Sugar Beets and Molasses Trains on the Great Western Railroad of Colorado. During WW2, 60 was used and had her Boiler extended, due to war time restrictions. Then Finally in 1965, 60 was brought to the Black River & Western Railroad, and has been here ever since, pulling trains. Later 60 went down for 12 year Overhaul, and Returned to service again in 2012, In time for 60's, 75th Birthday! 60 has been the jem Locomotive on the Railroad!

Are these mountain lions?
Mountain Lion sightings in Iowa are rare. The DNR says 95 percent turn out to be false. But some residents in Warren County think they are in the five percent.

Hunterdon Warren Sussex Cross Country Championships
This is a video of the Hunterdon Central Cross Country team at the Hunterdon Warren Sussex Cross Country Championships in Readington, New Jersey. This is Hunterdon Centrals home course so we had a little bit of an advantage. Our JV squad did quite well competing against over 40 teams and placing 5th. Divers complete work on the Duke Farms lake recirculation project.
The first phase of the Duke Farms lake recirculation project is to connect the uppermost reservoir with a groundwater well thereby allowing us to stop withdrawals from the Raritan River. This video shows some of the preliminary diving work to ready an existing underwater pipe to be connected to the new well.
The engineer for the project is John Jengo from MWH. He speaks in the beginning. Panther Technologies is the contractor and Walker Diving is the sub-contracted diving company highlighted in the video.
