Our first main destination on our summer away was the Delaware Coast! Let us take you on a tour of wear we stayed, Delaware Seashore State Park, and Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk as well. The area up here is beautiful! We celebrated the 4th of July at this location.
And if you are curious about the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, we'll show you a lot of footage of a crossing! A much better option to get from Virginia to Delaware!

If you're thinking you've already seen this video, you are partly correct... I had to take down the original, and edit out the drone footage before reposting, as drones are not permitted in any Delaware State Park. We were not aware, so we wanted to pass that info along!

Laura and I had our final camping trip of the summer at Delaware Seashore State Park. We were going to go to the Outer Banks, but we received a refund and an email saying it was closed. Going to the beach was a lot of fun!

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Today we headed further south from Cape May, NJ to Delaware Seashore State Park. This was a relatively short 40 mile drive greatly shortened by taking the Cape May / Lewes Ferry which went straight across the water to Delaware!
We quickly drove to the Delaware Seashore State Park which was almost deserted. Turns out that they close for the winter this weekend and there were only about 10 RV’s in the park!
This RV Park is fairly new, and according to the man running it, is completely sold out during the summer season needing 6 months advance registration! Apparently many fishermen, boaters, swimmers, windsurfers and other come from all over NJ and Delaware to this unique place with regular winds and good fishing!
Another unique oddity to this park was its setting right beside a beautiful suspension bridge similar to the one in Boston, MA. It is also beautifully lit with blue light at night and I was able to take a few nice pictures, as well as take a quadcopter flight over it!

Here is a quick video I took of the Indian River Bay. The bay lies between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach. You can also see Rohoboth Beach. We stayed at the Delaware Seashore State Park which is one of the nicest RV parks that we have stayed at.
