Franklin Falls Waterfall Hike, Snoqualmie Pass, Washington
Franklin Falls is on Denny Creek between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 in Washington State. It is in the median area between the east and west bound lanes of the freeway in a section where the lanes are separated by a wide expanse of forest land.
We hiked from the trail head to Franklin Falls, about a mile, over a well groomed trail that featured very little difficulty.
We were there in mid-May so the water was flowing pretty heavily. As I understand, in the hot summer months, though the creek isn't as full, it's still a good time to visit these falls. Since you can hike right to the base of the falls, the cool spray from the waterfall is very refreshing on a hot day.
In this video, I share some photos that we took during our hike at Franklin Falls.
Don't forget to subscribe to our channel. It will feature many more videos of our adventures around the Pacific Northwest. For 2014, our focus is on finding as many waterfalls as we can get to.

Alabama is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west. Alabama is the 30th largest by area and the 24th-most populous of the U.S. states. With a total of 1,500 miles (2,400 km) of inland waterways, Alabama has among the most of any state.Alabama is nicknamed the Yellowhammer State, after the state bird. Alabama is also known as the Heart of Dixie and the Cotton State. The state tree is the longleaf pine, and the state flower is the camellia. Alabama's capital is Montgomery. The largest city by population is Birmingham, which has long been the most industrialized city; the largest city by land area is Huntsville. The oldest city is Mobile, founded by French colonists in 1702 as the capital of French Louisiana. From the American Civil War until World War II, Alabama, like many states in the southern U.S., suffered economic hardship, in part because of its continued dependence on agriculture. Similar to other former slave states, Alabamian legislators employed Jim Crow laws to disenfranchise and otherwise discriminate against African Americans from the end of the Reconstruction Era up until at least the 1970s. Despite the growth of major industries and urban centers, white rural interests dominated the state legislature from 1901 to the 1960s. During this time, urban interests and African Americans were markedly under-represented. Following World War II, Alabama grew as the state's economy changed from one primarily based on agriculture to one with diversified interests. The state's economy in the 21st century is based on management, automotive, finance, manufacturing, aerospace, mineral extraction, healthcare, education, retail, and technology.

Exploring Washington and Oregon 2015
To answer your question...YES , that is a boat car.
Took a week and a half off to road trip up North to to explore my old stopping grounds.
First stopping and playing around in The Gorge to chase some waterfalls and beautiful views as well has to paddle in the Columbia. Boy, was that one of the most scary moments of my life. I thought I was going to be swept up stream from the crazy winds at 7AM in the morning. Point being, i'll leave the Columbia to windsurfers.
After we left The Gorge we traveled over the bridge over to Washington to my hometown Woodland.
Lakelife was the theme of the rest of my days up there. Trevor, a friend from Vancouver now lives up on Lake Merwin. A lake I grew up on. Learned how to ski and wakeboard. So many memories waking up before the sun to get on the lake at sunrise, in our wetsuits, trying to ski the glass. So needless to say, thats where all my time was spent. With AMAZING old friends I got to make more memories with, years after I moved. These guys will always have a special place in my heart and I am so so so happy that I spent the time I did with them. THANK YOU, you crazy kids!
Also, a shout out to my best friend PAIGE for driving down from Seattle to come hang with me all weekend. My heart couldn't have been more full. Sooooo much better seeing you in person then always Facetiming. Till next time boo! Love you
The end of my trip, before we went home, we stopped back in The Gorge to go white water river rafting. I convinced some crazy rad friends of mine to go and they also made that whole experience one I will always remember.
I realized I don't miss living in Washington at all..
But I do miss all my friends I left there. All the people who made it home.
Hope you guys enjoy, I sure had fun reminiscing making this video.
TILL NEXT TIME PNW!

Melakwa Lake Backpacking (plus stellar timelapse)
At 9 miles round trip, Melakwa Lake is a short and awesome backpacking hike. I shot this on my Canon T3i, edited and color graded with Adobe Premiere Pro CC. The timelapse of the stars at the end was taken over around 6 hours and consisted of 600 30-second exposures. The moon came out a couple hours in and illuminated the mountain. A perfect night!
