Devil's Rock, Lake Timiskaming, Ontario.
The trail leading to Devil's Rock, near Haileybury, Ontario, winds through mixed forest with many song birds. The view at the end over Lake Timiskaming is spectacular - but be careful. The cliff top is about 90 metres (300 feet) above the lake. For the geologists, Devil's Rock consists of Nipissing mafic and related intrusive rocks and mafic dikes and sills (2219 Ma). Devil's Rock Lake Temiskaming Cliff view
Devil's Rock is a beautiful lookout located in Northeastern Ontario in the town of Haileybury. Choose from one of two trails, 2km or 3km, and hike to the top where you will reach one of the most beautiful scenic views you can imagine. The cliff is 150m or 492 ft high and overlooks Lake Temiskaming.

Hiking Trip 2015 | Ottawa Temiskaming Highland Trails
2 day 1 night camping trip on the Ottawa Temiskaming Highland Trails from Lorrain Valley entrance to Four Bass Lake Campsite. The trails follow the Matabitchuan River to Four Bass Lake.
The trails were strenuous and totalled 10.5km there and back. The bugs were super bad in the bush, and the heavy backpacks were not easy to walk with. But we did it and it was our first hiking trip! I was not a happy camper getting to the campsite, but when the work was over it was all worth it.
The Matabitchuan River is a pretty incredible site with 2 large waterfalls and fast flowing water, no wonder it generate hydro. The lake at the campsite was also very pretty and clear. The campsite itself was awesome, it had room for probably 8 tents, has 2 fire pits, a couple of benches and some nice rocks to jump into the lake from.
All and all great trip, next time I'm getting a camera stabilizer :)

8 km bilingual group snowshoe. Crossing FourBass Lake and then that section of the Ottawa Temiskaming Highland Trail that follows the Matabitchuan River. Three stalwarts crossed Lake Temiskaming from Quebec to join in on the hike.
