Dewey Beach lies on a small strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, is about one mile long and two blocks wide. Despite its small size and low year-round population of about 300, it is not uncommon for 30,000 to descend upon the town during summer weekends. Numerous bars and restaurants line Coastal Highway (Delaware Route 1), the town's main street.

Delaware it the second-smallest state in the United States after Rhode Island.
The town hosts the Dewey Beach Music Conference during the last weekend of September. This event began in 2002 and has been a huge draw for unsigned bands from all over the country.
In 2011, the NRDC Natural Resources Defense Council awarded Dewey Beach with a 5-Star rating in water quality.
It is believed that the name was given to Dewey Beach following the 1898 Battle of Manilla (Spanish–American War) when Admiral George Dewey became a national hero.

Drone Flight: Rehoboth & Dewey Beach, Delaware
Took several flights around Rehoboth and Dewey during a recent weekend visit. Great sights, people, beaches, food, etc...
On top of lots of drone footage I took lots of great stills with my Canon, GoPro, and Ricoh Theta cams.
Took some of my favorite shots and made this video. Some are clearly sped up, and others are clearly slowed down. All in all it was a great weekend and I think this is a good video!

Dewey Beach is an incorporated coastal town in eastern Sussex County, Delaware, United States. According to the 2010 census, the population of the town is 341, an increase of 13.3% over the previous decade.[1] It is part of the rapidly growing Cape Region and lies within the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2011, the NRDC awarded Dewey Beach with a 5-Star rating in water quality. This award was given only to 12 other locations, one being neighboring Rehoboth Beach.[2] Out of the 30 states with coastline, the Delaware Beaches ranked number 1 in water quality in 2011

Dewey Beach trying to get rid of unneeded surplus military equipment
A beach town has a dilemma over what to do with a stockpile of millions of dollars worth of military vehicles and equipment, and there's criticism over its acquisition. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, the popular beach town of Dewey Beach, Delaware, is calm and relaxing, with a little more than 390 year-round residents.

The Military Surplus Program Investigaton Continues in Dewey Beach
The investigation into the Military Surplus Program continues in Dewey Beach. Initial reports pointed at Dewey Beach Police for controlling an account with an unreported $3 million of military equipment, but the final audit report allowed the town to account for it all. Now it's time to find out if past town officials knew about this all along.
