Dianchi Lake, also known as Lake Dian and Kunming Lake, is a large lake located on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau close to Kunming, Yunnan, China.
Its nickname is the Sparkling Pearl Embedded in a Highland and it was the model for the Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace in Beijing.

President Xi pays visit to Dianchi Lake in Kunming, southwest China
Ahead of the Chinese Spring Festival, Chinese President Xi Jinping made an inspection tour of southwest China's Yunnan Province. He paid a visit on Monday to the wetland of Dianchi Lake in Kunming, the province's capital city, where he observed the protection and management of the lake.

Kunming waterfall park 昆明瀑布公园 is located in Shanshui new district of north Kunming . The main part of the park uses natural terrain divide to built a grand man-made waterfall, which is 12.5 meters in height and 400 meters in width, with a total investment of about 1.1 billion Yuan.

After the cruise ride we were so hungry and we went on a food hunt to look for plain food as my friends from Guangzhou can't get use to the local Kunming's strong and spicy flavour food. I was so hungry that I had 3 full bowls of rice followed with a walk at the Dian Lake side.
