Pirate's Cove Adventure Mini Golf!
In today's video we head to Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf on International Drive! This place was so much fun! I was blown away by the level of detail in the themeing around the entire course! The side I decided to play was Blackbeard's Challenge, which was the more popular course and it also had an educational element where each hole had a factoid about the pirate Blackbeard! I ended up doing pretty bad because I'm really terrible at mini golf, but I still had fun! All in all it was a fun and inexpensive way to spend and evening on I-Drive in Orlando! Join us Tomorrow for another new video!

Disney Summerland Miniature Golf
Winter Summerland Mini Golf at Walt Disney World
Winter Summerland Mini Golf located next to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is one of two miniature golf courses at Walt Disney World. Opened on March 12, 1999 it features two different courses. One Winter and the other Summer. It is best to visit this location in the evening when the lights are on as it makes the Christmas lights look so much better. Current admission price is $14 for Adults and $12 for Children ages 3 to 9 per game. If you choose to play both courses there is a discount.
The story of Winter Summerland goes as: Late one Christmas Eve Santa was flying back to the North Pole and he discovered snow over Florida. After surveying the situation he decided to make an off duty vacation site for his off-duty elves, a Winter Summerland. Santa decided the only thing it was missing was a golf course. He split his elves into two camps, one that enjoyed the Florida Sun and the other which enjoyed the snow and cold of the North Pole. The camps built two distinctly different 18 Hole Golf Courses, a sand course named Summer and a snow course named Winter.

In these times of recession inexpensive recreation has become a must. Ride with GU as we hit up Hawaii Rumble Mini Golf one of the best Miniature Golf Courses in Orlando. Traditional golf green fees are currently from $40-$150 depending on the course. Mini golf provides a less expensive, light hearted alternative which the whole family or friends can enjoy with no normal golf experience.

FLORIDA VLOG 2016 | DAY 11| Blizzard Beach waterpark, Go Karting and Mini Golf!
For a change, day 11 started early(for us anyway!)We were up, out the door and at Blizzard Beach by 10.15. This might go down like a ton of bricks, but I'm not that keen on Blizzard Beach. I mean it's ok, the slides are good and I love that you can float in a ring in the pool, but it's just not Typhoon Lagoon.
We stayed a few hours until it got very busy. At one point our sun loungers were 'bumper to bumper' with others and we couldn't get in (or out) without knocking people's heads/ feet or climbing over or covering them in sand which was followed by a million sorry's. So we thought it time to go.
Next onto GoCarting at the Orlando GoKart Center. This was hubbys choice and it was in the middle of know where, but we managed to find it and got him all registered/ set to go. I chose to sit this out. Partly because I was scared my feet wouldn't reach the pedals and second because driving is not one of my strong points. I'd be 'that person' moving at 2mph while every one else whizzes past at 45mph....and I'd still crash. So I was a spectator, but I didn't mind. The place had wifi and comfy sofas so I was happy! Hubs loved it and hasn't stopped talking about it....lap times/ what position he came in etc. It was like I went goCarting with the hubs and came out with Lewis Hamilton. I had white knuckles on the I4!!
After goCarting it was Winter Summer land mini golf, which is included in our 14 day ultimate passes. It was really good fun! We chose the summer course, but might go back and do the winter on the day we go home. As usual I beat the hubs (woohoo!) and got a candy cane :)
Tony Roma's was on the menu last night which was sooooo good (good shout Rachel!)!! We were in a rush, so both ordered pasta. The people next to us ordered ribs and oh my goodness they looked amazing... we had serious food envy! Sooooo we are planning on going back tomorrow just for the ribs ????
Hubs is on a mission to get to Disney Quest. So far, no good. The 1st time we forgot our magic bands ???? annnnnd this time it was shut ???? so we went to Ghirardelli for ice cream to cheer him up. Third time lucky eh hubster???!
Anyway, we need to be at MK for 8am so we better get a move on!!
Have a magical day y'all!!

Mini Golf - Frankie's Fun Park
Is it mini golf or giant you? Either way, it's full-sized fun for the whole family! You look up and suddenly you've been transported to an exotic landscape of gorgeous waterfalls and lush vegetation. You wonder... Is this some remote island getaway? Am I in some dream vacation destination? Why no, it's even better... It's mini golf! That's right! We took a full size, professionally designed golf course and shrunk it down to fit within our parks. How did we accomplish this amazing feat? Duh, with a shrink ray.

Adventure Golf & Raceway Westminster, CO 3 Great Mini Golf courses and a great go-kart track..!
Miniature golf, or minigolf, is a miniature version of the sport of golf. While the international sports organization World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) prefers to use the name minigolf, the general public in different countries has also many other names for the game: miniature golf, mini-golf, midget golf, goofy golf, shorties, extreme golf, crazy golf, adventure golf, mini-putt and so on. The name Putt-Putt is the trademark of an American company that builds and franchises miniature golf courses and Family Entertainment Centers. The term Minigolf was formerly a registered trademark of a Swedish company that built its own patented type of minigolf courses
Origins
It is a matter of taste which activity one wants to call minigolf rather than golf, but probably the best candidate as the first minigolf course in the world is the Ladies' Putting Club of St. Andrews in Scotland, which was founded in 1867, and still today is operating and open for public. This 18-hole course of putting greens, called the Himalayas, was founded by some members of the notable Royal & Ancient Golf Club in St. Andrews. Women had become interested in golf game, but the conservative social norms of the era deemed it unacceptable for women to publicly perform such violent movements that a golf swing requires. Therefore an 18-hole course of short putting greens was constructed for women -- apparently the first miniature golf course in the world.
A few decades later it became customary for many American and British hotels to offer their guests a miniature-sized golf course, using the same designs as actual golf courses, but at one tenth the scale. The game was played with a golf putter and a short driver, and was called garden golf, pitch and putt golf, clock golf or par 3 golf.
Geometrically-shaped minigolf courses made of artificial materials (carpet) began to emerge during the early 20th century. The earliest documented mention of such a course is in the 8 June 1912 edition of The Illustrated London News, which introduces a minigolf course called Gofstacle.
The first standardized minigolf courses to enter commercial mass-production were the Thistle Dhu (This'll Do) course 1916 in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and the 1927 Tom Thumb patent of Garnet Carter from Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Thomas McCulloch Fairbairn, a golf fanatic, revolutionized the game in 1922 with his formulation of a suitable artificial green—a mixture of cottonseed hulls, sand, oil, and dye. With this discovery, miniature golf became accessible everywhere; by the late 1920s there were over 150 rooftop courses in New York City alone, and tens of thousands across the United States. This American minigolf boom of early 20th century came to an end during the economic depression in the late 1930s. Nearly all minigolf courses in the United States were closed and demolished before the end of 1930s.A rare surviving example from this period is the Tall Maples Miniature Golf Course located near Rochester, New York, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
The first miniature golf course in Canada was at the Maples Inn in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. The Mapes was constructed as a summer home in the 1890s but was renovated into a club in 1902, opened to the public in 1914, and had a miniature golf course in 1930. The popular nightspot burned in 1985.
