Kealoha Pisciotta Faces Federal Charges for Sea Burial of Whale
Kealoha Pisciotta conducted a traditional Hawaiian sea burial of a melon-headed whale, a member of the dolphin family that died after the NOAA left the scene without giving them further instructions in June 2014 at Kawaihae, on the Big Island of Hawaii. They now face federal charges for conducting the traditional burial of the whale.

Known on the Big Island as Kaupalaoa Ranch, this ocean front property is relatively untouched and movie-set inspiring. Its totally private and secluded but located within +/- 8 miles of Kawaihae Harbor and 9 miles to the Mauna Kea Beach voted one of the worlds 10 top beaches year after year. The property consists of 2 contiguous lots that together have approximately 1,500 feet of ocean frontage. The land is bordered by large State owned parcels to the north and south, Akoni Pule Highway to the east and the ocean to the west. Views are of the Kohala Coast, Maui and occasionally Lanai and Kahoolawe, daily sunsets over the ocean, the surrounding Kohala Mountains, seasonal whale watching and daily pods of dolphins, turtles and other amazing sea life. There are two county parks within a few miles of the property and the farming and ranching community of Hawi is only approximately 10 miles north with award winning restaurants, Farmers Markets, boutiques and the daily needed schools, health care facilities, banks, grocers, etc. Also, the resort amenities (golf, tennis, pool, beach club, dining and spa) and restaurants of the Kohala Coast are just minutes away. Properties of this nature are rarely available in this area especially at this price and it could be several years before another comes along; land holders and conservationist please take note. Nearby properties have drilled their own wells with sophisticated filtration systems and photo voltaic solar energy for power. There is a small permitted lean-to on the property. Old jeep roads adequate for access with four wheel drive. Recently completely surveyed. Old interior rock walls and rock piles. Lot 1 and lot 2 are each 31.3115 acres.

Old Hawaii at its finest! Outstanding ocean and coastline, unblock able views! This is your opportunity to finish a permitted home that sits on a stunning promenade. Whales and spinner dolphins play directly out front. Artists and photographers visit the point to capture what you can wake up to daily.Driveway and home site are already in, along with cesspool and foundation for this dream home. Rock walls border the property lines. Located at the end of the road, bordered by 11.8 acres of state land, with Kilau stream running through it.Nearby Laupahoehoe Beach Park is tremendous asset. The boat ramp offers access to the Pacific Ocean and beyond. Near the beacon tower, there is a large outcropping of ancient lava that forms a natural tide pool / beach. Fishing, diving, and snorkeling are popular here. This is the only place between Hilo and Kawaihae to launch a boat. This County of Hawaii park is very well maintained with expansive mowed lawn areas, pavilions, and bathrooms. Hiking trails go beyond the park along the coastline, ready to be explored. If Paradise had an address, this would be it! Extremely rare acreage, bordered by State land and just across the lane from the blue Pacific Ocean. The edge of your property begins just 75' from the ocean. There is a driveway leading to the elevated home site with fabulous 360 degree views of the old Hawaii coastline. Wake up to sunrises over the ocean, rainbows just within reach and the magical ala moana - path to the moon. You can go back in time down in historic Laupahoehoe Village. Palm trees tower and the verdant pali is the back drop. State zoned conservation district. CDUA required to build. County water, power and phone are two lots away. Great weather! Breathtaking views. One of the finest locations on the coast!MLS# 606351
