Don Wai Market , Day trip from Bangkok, Thailand l River side, Floating market , Local market
Don Wai Market is located in Nakon Pathom province, very very close to Bangkok, 30 - 60 min from Bangkok. It depend on private car or public transportation.
-----------
About 30 minutes by car
About 60 minutes by bus
-------------
It's not too hard to catch it. I really recommended because no tourists too much, no commercial promoting just like Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, the famous floating market for foriener not for thai people, that's not market for me, it's fake.
-------------
Don Wai Market, there is no boats too much, very wider river, peaceful, naturally, cheaper, bigger, there are a lot of things to do and to buy, and very local.
------------
How to get to the Don Wai Market
- Bus 556 from Sanam Luang, the public square in front of Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace. 23 Bath ~60 minutes
- Taxi ~ 500 Baht ~30 minutes

Awesome Bangkok Day Trip - Floating River Cafe - RIVA Cafe Nakhon Pathom (Thailand)
We headed out to the nearby province of Nakhon Pathom, a 45 minute taxi ride from Bangkok, to check out the RIVA floating cafe. They serve coffee, cakes and a variety of Thai and Western dishes and the view over the River is amazing. It's the perfect place to escape city life and spend a lazy afternoon chilling out by the river. There is also a boutique resort and spa on site if you're looking for a nice staycation. Our advice would be to combine your trip here with a morning visit to the nearby ตลาดนำ้ดอนหวาย Don Wai Floating Market, Nakhon Pathom. for some awesome Thai food and a boat ride.

BANGKOK: the floating market
We went to the floating market on our last day in Bangkok. It was also the 1 year anniversary of the king's death, so most things were actually closed! Keep in mind for any public holidays before traveling!

FOR LEO Ep.3 - Siam Centre | Don Wai Market | Nakhon Pathom | Kao San Road | Bangkok
I made this video series for my son Leo. I'm hoping he'll enjoy watching this and that one day he'll want to go visit Thailand with me :)
He sent his representative 'McDuckie' in the meantime, to test the water. You'll see him lurking around in places. McDuckie has made it home safe and sound.
Hopefully this video will inspire others to go visit Thailand too!
