A musical performance played on a traditional Chinese Guzheng
Yixin Wang started playing Guzheng at the age of 4 in China, inspired by an old man who was always playing this instrument in her neighborhood. She won her first national metal at the age of 7, and began performing around. After finishing all the amateur levels in Guzheng and stepped into professional level, she moved to Houston with her family. As a current junior studying in Tompkins High School in Katy, she is very active in all kinds of cultural events and has been frequently performing around Houston and Katy. She also started forming ensemble groups with western instruments on her own.

A group of CGTN reporters set out on December 5 to make their way across the country on a 10-day trip aboard a bus, from Beijing all the way to Shenzhen, the birthplace of China's economic miracle. On my sixth and last day of this grand road trip, I visited another one of the three greatest towers in southern China: Yueyang Tower in China's Hunan Province. It was cloaked in mist, like a maiden. But leaning on the wooden rail of the tower and looking out at Dongting Lake through the drizzling rain, I understood why so many literary marvels were composed here.
