TRAIL TO MYSELF! Doris Leeper Mountain Bike Trail GT RICOCHET PLUS
This is just an excerpt from Doris Leeper Mountain bike trail. Sort of vlog style riding on my Dicks Sporting Goods GT Ricochet Plus with some thoughts for you. Enjoy the scenery and get some insight about whether this trail is right for you. Beginners should visit this trail and enthusiast should keep it in the quiver!
This scenic preserve is on 1,637 acres in Port Orange. Its 536-foot boardwalk begins more than three miles of nature trails leading to the 15-foot observation tower and continues to Rose Bay. The tower overlooks the marsh area near Spruce Creek.
The extension began on the north side of the park as part of the Rose Bay Legacy Project Program under the direction of a teacher at Mainland High School. The students notched out minimum-impact nature trails and planted native vegetation throughout the area while studying the environment. Students from Mainland High School, Campbell Middle School, South Daytona Elementary, Holly Hill Elementary, and many other students and teachers have worked with community members and state and county agency mentors to help construct trails, monitor the environment, remove exotic species, and renourish the wetlands.

Spruce Creek Trail
This video was shot at Spruce Creek trail in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Spruce Creek is an intermediate trail that is fast and has a lot of flow. Not too many technical features, but there are lots of roots and some sand mixed into many of the climbs and descents that keep things interesting. The trail is well kept and there are several different route options making the trail between about 6.5 - 9 miles long depending on the sections you choose. The blue trail is open to hikers and bikers. There are also yellow trails that are hike and equine friendly. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you live in the Volusia/Flagler Counties area.

Hobie Kayaking & Birding On Spruce Creek, Florida
I rented a Hobie Mirage Revolution for the week and I've been taking it up Spruce Creek and the surrounding bays and rivers in the Port Orange, Florida area. This is from the other day when I went up the creek in search of wildlife viewing opportunities. I was NOT disappointed! I also got some nice shots of the beautiful houses on the bluffs over the Creek.
I saw several osprey, herons, cormorants, egrets and plenty of things I couldn't identify. One particular tricolored heron was extremely curious about me and allowed me to get breathtakingly close. There were lots of places where it was obvious alligators had been recently. I took a brief break on a tiny beach below Sunset Bluff in New Smyrna Beach where I encountered a curious little crab. I went a little bit past I-95 before turning around just in time to catch the sunset over the ancient Timucua mound complex and get home before dark.
This was filmed using a Sony DSC-HX9V.
Found a Little Jump! @Spruce Creek Mountain Bike trail
Had not been riding long and was most likely my 3rd time going to Spruce Creek Mountain Bike trail. Found what looks like it was once a little table top jump in need of much work but was still good fun.
