The per-credit-hour cost to run $80 for in-district students, $124 for out-of-district students, $98 for out-of-district students in Wise County, $115 for out-of-district students in Granbury and $176 for out-of-state students. The state average right now is $82 per semester credit hour for in district, $134 for out-of-district and $179 for out-of-state.
It was the first meeting for Judy McAnally, who was sworn in as the newest member of the Board of Trustees. McAnally was appointed in December to replace Don Allen, who passed away last spring.
In his President’s Report, Dr. Kevin Eaton:
· Recognized Shirley Brown and the WC Math Department for their outstanding work on the annual Coyote Area Math Championship which draws more than 100 area high school students to the college campus.
· Updated the board on spring semester enrollment which is approximately 1 percent up from this time last year at 5,269 students. This is the second highest spring enrollment in WC history.
· Updated the board on a state audit.
“After reviewing all of the information for a full week, the auditor stated we should be very proud of our institution and that this was a very good visit,” Eaton said. “However, he did list two findings in his preliminary report.”
The first finding involved some of the processes associated with Information Technology. The second dealt with identification of continuing education students in area high schools. Eaton said both of these items are being reviewed by administration.
