Joe Jonas Facetimes with Reina on the Dr. Phil Show
- Reina got a surprise Facetime chat from Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers when she appeared on the Dr. Phil Show to discuss her rescue from a fire when she was 11 years old.
After Reina's house caught fire, she was diagnosed with severe anxiety and PTSD and she was prescribed Valium at 11 years old. In addition, she was prescribed Adderall, Xanax, and Ambien every night for insomnia, and Topamax as a mood stabilizer. She also has a medical marijuana card.
She says the first time she got drunk was when she was 12, and she moved out on her own when she was 16. Years later at 21 years old, she admits to getting blackout drunk very often.
Many of her problems are related to the scarring experience of being rescued from the fire when she was 11. Her mother says she was barely breathing and wouldn't open her eyes until she told her daughter, “Joe Jonas is here and you have to wake up for Joe. Only then did she open her eyes.
Joe Jonas heard about the story recently, and while shooting a video in Miami with his brothers, he agreed to join Reina and the Dr. Phil Show on Facetime.
After a short chat, they are joined by Dr. Deena Manion, Chief Clinical Officer of Alo House Recovery Centers, to discuss the Young Adult Program and how it would help Reina with her recovery.
PTSD is formally known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and is often a catalyst for drug or alcohol addiction:

Dr. Phil is an American talk show created by Oprah Winfrey and the host Phil McGraw. After McGraw's success with his segments on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Phil debuted on September 16, 2002. On both shows McGraw offers advice in the form of life strategies from his life experience as a clinical and forensic psychologist.[2]
The show is in syndication throughout the United States and a number of other countries. Its tenth season premiered on September 12, 2011. Occasional prime time specials have aired on CBS. The program has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award every year since 2004. Since September 2008, Dr. Phil has been broadcast in HDTV with a revamped look and a new theme written and performed by McGraw's son, Jordan.
The executive producers are Phil McGraw and showrunner Oprah Winfrey. It is a production of Peteski Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Harpo Productions co-produced the series until 2010, with Paramount Domestic Television and its successor, CBS Paramount Domestic Television, serving as secondary co-producers until 2007. It was originally distributed by King World Productions.
The program is recorded before a live studio audience in Stage 29 on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood, California. It is recorded from August through to May with a break in December for the holiday season. Reruns of earlier episodes of the series began broadcasting on the Oprah Winfrey Network in January 2011. On October 25, 2018, it was announced that Dr. Phil had been renewed for four additional seasons, taking the show to May 2023, or the end of its 21st season.

Bam Margera on the Dr. Phil Show Agrees to Dual Diagnosis Addiction Treatment
- Reality TV star Bam Margera asked Dr. Phil to help him overcome his alcohol and substance use addiction. Bam was introduced to Dr. Deena Manion (Chief Clinical Officer of Alo House Recovery Centers) on the Dr. Phil Show, and she offered the dual diagnosis and detox services of Alo House to help him get his life back on track.
Bam suffered numerous brain trauma injuries during his years on the Jackass show, in addition to excessive partying with alcohol and countless other substances.
Dr. Manion suggests that Bam needs to get down to the basics to see what's going on in his life. He's hesitant because he feels rehab is not a good fit for him but he agrees that getting out of his environment and into a safe place will be good for him.
Dr. Phil lets him know that it's important to find out if he has bipolar or anxiety disorder and uncover any other issues that might be holding him back from recovering.
Bam finally agrees to go to treatment at Alo House.
