The Lone Bethel Methodist Church Inside Eastfork Lake Park, Clermont Co, Ohio
What a serene sight: this old country church sitting amidst a banket of newly fallen, untouched snow. Beside it, and behind it, a collection of gravestones dating back almost 200 years. I've seen tthis church many times, but not once have I seen people inside it, or outside, nor have I myself seen the inside. An old outhouse sits back behnd the church, off to one side.

Daniel Sepeck of Bethel-Tate High School and Gunner Pollitt of Eastern Brown are teaming up for high school fishing tournaments in Gallipolis, Ohio and in Russellville, Arkansas. The event in Russellville July 23-24 is the World Championships with high school fishermen from all over the United States. The pair combined to win a $10,000 scholarship on April 10 at a tournament on Kentucky Lake near Murray State University.
Man arrested for shooting off-duty officer and his son while hunting at East Fork
CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A man is charged with shooting an off-duty Cincinnati Police officer and his son. Investigators said they were on a hunting trip when they were shot.
Please hurry, the officer told 911, as he and his son were hunting in East Fork State Park Monday morning. It was a close blast. And we've got some serious injuries here, he continued.
Ohio State Highway Patrol and ODNR are handling the investigation. Officer said 23-year-old Wesley Seitz of Batavia pulled the trigger.
911: Any serious bleeding, sir?
Officer: Yes from me, my left arm and my left leg.
911: Left arm and left leg are hit?
Officer: Yes. My son was hit in the right hand and one of his knees.
The shooter was nowhere to be found afterward. The off-duty officer told 911, A red Ford pickup truck with two men fled. They ran and fled. They went backwards down the road towards Bethel Concord; that's the direction they went.
I'm going to find him; I'm going to find him, continued the officer.
Troopers tracked down Seitz's truck, they arrested him and seized two shotguns. Seitz is charged with two counts of assault. The officer also filed a temporary criminal stalking protective order. A Clermont County judge will take that up Tuesday morning in court.
I went to the hospital. I seen he and his son, and they were both doing fantastic. Obviously, there's some pain involved and stuff like that, said Fraternal Order of Police President Dan Hils.
Hils said the officer and his son are going to be OK.
It could have been worse, you know, like I said, even though it's birdshot or turkey load or whatever the heck it is, it's still a gun, and even those lighter loads have the potential to kill somebody, said Hils.
Local 12 looked into Seitz's criminal history. In 2012, he was arrested by ODNR for poaching deer. He admitted to the crime. According to court documents, as payback, Seitz then lit a truck on fire that belonged to the man who reported him. He went before a juvenile judge on the arson and poaching charges.

Tri-State hosts U.S. club rowing championships
BETHEL, Ohio (Perry Schaible) -- Rowers will go head to head on Harsha Lake to win a national rowing title Athletes representing 30 states are in Bethel for the competition. That is where the best of the best club rowers in the U.S. are competing this week. 101 clubs are competing in this year's regatta. There are 1,342 entries across 71 events making it the largest club nationals ever. Clermont County officials including Mark Calitri from the visitors bureau have done a lot to get this event. A big reason the county got the event here was the new beach house that cost nearly million. Final rounds will be held Friday and Sunday. Click here for more information on the event. Finding Good Crappie Fishing Spots
Jason made a point in the fall and winter to look for new crappie fishing spots with his electronics. He started in some productive arms of the lake and idled along break lines looking for brush piles with fish.
These creek channel edges are often where fishermen like to drop their brush piles. So Jason scanned with Lowrance HDS 3D Structure Scan for likely looking spots and brush piles until he found schools of crappie holding on them.
Once he saw a good school of fish on a brush pile, he stopped and fished it. He would cast a jig over the top, when they quit biting that, he would pitch to the piles from a closer distance, and finally he would get right on top of them and fish vertically on the pile.
He had one of the best fall/winter periods for crappie fishing in recent years by getting out and hunting for fish more with his electronics.
