We get a little tipsy on our cider tour of Bristol. As a Somerset boy, Alex is a huge fan of cider so we went hunting for the best cider haunts in Bristol.
We visited the oldest pub in Bristol, the Hatchet Inn, along with a personal favourite, The White Lion, overlooking the Clifton suspension bridge. Later, we visit The Cori Tap and end the night at The Apple, a bar on a boat serving nothing but cider!
Apple cider is famous in Somerset and is a MUST TRY if you come to England. Our personal favourite is Thatchers, which can be found all over the country.

In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!
After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!
We work online and aim to spread the message of “Earn Less, Live More”, which encourages people to question their definition of success, and to pursue what makes them truly happy instead of chasing only money.

The Melting Pot: how London's food scene shapes what we eat
Every time you enter a London restaurant you might just be part of a new food trend. The capital is an ever-changing melting pot of culinary inspiration that shapes what we put on our dinner table.
This is the third in a series of Borough Talks, with restauranteurs, traders and trend experts discussing the fast-paced and dynamic food landscape in the capital. They discussed how that translates across the country and what is likely to be the next big foodie craze.
The panelists are:
Petra Barran: Founder of KERB, a membership organisation for some of London's most exciting street food concepts
Susan Parham: Head Of Urbanism at the University Of Hertfordshire, and author of Market Place: Food Quarters, Design And Urban Renewal In London
Jack Adair-Bevan: Writer, hunter and mixologist at The Ethicurean near Bristol
Moderator: Xanthe Clay: Author, food writer at The Telegraph and President of the Guild Of Food Writers

Helping the Homeless - The Street Food Project, Penzance, Cornwall
Homelessness is a growing epidemic worldwide and the UK is no exception. It is incredible to think that a country that possess wealth, a good educational system and plenty of accommodation nationwide, can still have so many people sleeping rough on the streets or in unstable accommodation.
There is much talk of action being taken but is there really? The Street Food Project are the epitome of the 'little guy', the good hearted and caring. These people take time out of their own lives and use their own money to help feed the homeless community in Penzance, Cornwall. Cornwall is in the top three statistically in the UK for homeless and rough sleeping people and the Street Food Project offer food and drink to vulnerable 7 nights a week. It is clear within in our short film, that the people that have the power to help change this issue, don't seem to be that bothered about it and hold little respect for the position that they are in.
We made this video in a hope to help raise awareness, raise funds for 'The Street Food Project' (link how to donate will be at the bottom of the text), and to show that it really is an extreme problem where kind hearted do gooders are not getting the backing that they deserve from the people that can. We hope that this can inspire other cities and communities to do the same for their homeless people.
Please check out 'Luke James - Stories of Life' on Facebook for more information about the Street Food Project and about our upcoming documentary about Mental Health. Please give us a follow and a like.
Golden Eagle Diner and Restaurant - Bristol PA
Huseyin Gunaydin opened the Golden Eagle Diner and Restaurant in 1986. After arriving in America in 1972, he began his career in diners as a dishwasher. He then worked as a short-order cook, a baker, and a kitchen manager before opening his own diner.
Huseyin is a man who does not take shortcuts. On Sunday mornings, he drives to area food distributors, where he selects fresh fruits and vegetables. Every morning, his kitchen staff starts preparing soups, boiling beef, chicken, and seafood stock for three hours. Huseyin doesn’t buy prepared stock or use preservatives. He cuts his meat and grinds his beef on-site. When you order a bowl of his cabbage soup, you are ordering a warming brew of fresh ingredients that is hours in the making. The result is a satisfaction you can’t find at chains and other less-dedicated restaurants.
Huseyin applies the same philosophy to the rest of his menu, which ranges from traditional diner fare to entrées such as fillet mignon, veal, oysters, and baked ziti. His artisan bakers prepare a variety of European-style cakes and pastries, signature cinnamon and cheese breads, and a popular New York style cream cheesecake.
With two banquet rooms that can serve 150 guests each, a full bar offering draft beer and cocktails, and a staff committed to your satisfaction, the Golden Eagle is well-equipped to host private parties, business meetings, and other special events at a reasonable cost.
The Golden Eagle is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
