Every Three Days a Dog Dies at a Florida Racetrack
Every Three Days includes recent footage of greyhound confinement and deaths at racetracks across Florida. This footage was publicly released by the industry itself, and referred to as the “truth” about dog racing in the state.
The video contains footage of the final races for four greyhounds that died at Florida racetracks in 2017. It also includes footage of greyhound confinement that was publicly released by Sanford Orlando Kennel Club in 2014. Finally, the video contains footage of greyhound confinement that was shot in 2017 at Orange Park and Sanford Orlando Kennel Club, and publicly released by an industry supporter.
The following greyhound deaths are featured:
• On July 19, 2017 a two-year-old greyhound named B's Moody Too died after she fell during a race at Orange Park and suffered a broken leg. The track veterinarian later told a state investigator he destroyed Moody because even with surgery the dog would have a stiff and painful elbow joint.
• On March 31, 2017 a two-year-old greyhound named FF Adam was destroyed after he fell during a race at Sarasota Kennel Club and broke multiple bones in his left front leg.
• A 23-month-old greyhound named Flippin Bubba died after suffering a broken back during a race at Orange Park on October 14, 2017. He was destroyed a day before his second birthday.
• A two-year-old greyhound named ZZ Top This died after he fell and suffered a broken back during a race at Derby Lane on October 21, 2017.

Often times, many that don't live in Iowa don't realize how tough the racing is. Facts are that Bluffs Run is the second highest paying track in the country (Iowa Bred money) and the breeders within that state have crafted and molded some of the fastest talent in the world.
It is not easy to follow an All-American like SH Avatar, who was the super star at Bluffs Run for nearly two years. Enter Boc's John Luke, the face of Bluffs Run racing. Luke has been the most solid and consistent stakes performer of the year with wins in the ultra-tough Secretary's Choice and the $60,000 Bluffs Run Open. He was second in the crown jewel, the $500k Iowa Breeders Cup to a very hot Hilco Klassy.
Nearly two years into his profession, Boc's John Luke has already amassed significant earnings and developed quite a resume. He's as game as they come and not reliant on a certain race development to be competitive. Whether on the lead or off the pace, he's always dangerous. In his sixteen starts beginning in September, John Luke has finished no worse than second in fourteen of those races. With just a month to go, John Luke has a legitimate shot at being named the Greyhound of the Year at Bluffs Run. In a field loaded with speed, as the Daytona 550 will be, he is capable of sitting just off leaders and making a backstretch run or even grinding it out throughout a race.
Iowa will be represented well in greyhound racing's first National Championship. The question is will Boc’s John Luke add that third stakes win to his resume? If so, this one might be the most impressive of all…a National Championship.

Adjacent to Pinnacle Port to the West is a bird sanctuary where you can find several different types of birds, even some that are on the endangered list.
Turtle season is very popular at Pinnacle Port since there have been several nests where sea turtles deposit their eggs in nests along the beach. Time your stay to be there when the hatchlings make their way to the ocean or when the nests are excavated to save any baby turtles that were unable to make it out.

Winn Dixie and Publix, CVS, Exxon, Dunkin Donuts, Waffle House, Chapel at Downtown Carillon, Bayou Bill's Seafood, Chinese Restaurant w/takeout, Liquor stores, Donut Hole, and Shades Restaurant. 30 Avenue has also added quite a few shops and several restaurants less than 10 minutes to the West.
Directly across the Lake Powell bridge is Camp Helen State Park with great history of the area. It is a small park and seldom crowded.

Downtown Panama City has indoor shopping mall and lots more seafood restaurants and shopping. Take Shell Island tour and/or Swim with Dolphins tours from Panama City. St Andrew's State Park is an excellent place to spend the day. You can also arrange tours that depart from St. Andrews State Park.
