Echternach in Luxembourg
Are you looking for a nice city to visit during your holiday in Europe? Why not visit Echternach, which is the oldest town of Luxembourg, and is by far the most famous touristic town of the Grand Duchy. In high season it is all too often that the number of tourists exceeds the number of inhabitants (around 5500). Echternach is particularly suitable as a base for visiting the Müllerthal region, better known as Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. This area is characterized by its breathtaking scenery, full of rock formations, flowing streams, waterfalls, stream valleys and dense forests and vegetation.
The old town center is largely pedestrianized and only accessible to pedestrians. This means that you have to park your car outside the city center. The market square around the historic city hall is overcrowded by tourists in the summer who enjoy the terraces at the many diners and cafes. The market plays a central role in everyday life, and many fairs and other events take place here.

Since 2009, the Folkrockband Schëppe Siwen makes sure you spend a great time at their gigs. They played on almost all the major stages in the country and now they will finally come to the e-Lake. Their music includes many different styles, from Celtic Punk elements to Folkrock tones and is carried by the sound of the violin, accordion and trumpets.
